the History of Thailand will tell u that thailand was one of the most political divided country in the world. there wasnt a majority in the any of the past elections till Thaksin came about. What I can say is that he consolidated a large number the voters in the North and Northeast.

about a year ago, i drove over a soi dog right in front of my company's warehouse.

supposedly it "belonged" to the mini mart across the soi, the owner was the one feeding all the soi dogs, there were at least 20 of them. i told my boss and colleagues about it. my boss got the maid to bury the "corpse" deep in the soi and brought me to apologize to the mini-mart owner.

I think chopping the tree and shrubs down is a bit over the top. I thing you might regret doing that, how often are you likely to see snakes in the garden? In four years of living up country we have only ever had one green viper close to the house, we left it alone, it was gone after an hour or so. Snakes are more afraid of you, well with the exception of a cobra!

Also rat-spread diseases such as Weils and typhus.

You are unlikely to be working in the field all day so your potential exposure to snakebite is going to be minimal.

I live in a LH mooban in inner bangkok and LH is doing quite a good job with the rat and mosquitos control.

i found a snake skin on the branches of a tree in my garden, its about 2-3 feet long. have yet to removed it, i dont even dare to go close the garden right now. contacted rentokil and they told me that they dont have services for snakes.

my wife told me to get ปูนขาว aka "lime" aka "calcium hydroxide" and scatter it around the garden.

i was thinking to get some suphlur but "google search" proved otherwise; US univerities has proven that suphur does not work as a snake repellent.

i m getting some of my guys @ work to remove the the tree where i found the snake skin this weekend. together with the shrubs and trees nearby.

i may plant some turf over the spot where the trees/ shrubs were planted. getting some black soil and fill the "pot holes" in the garden.

Heres another example, how many of you wear fake Diesel, Armani etc brand label clothing made as far as I know in Thailand. Id rather buy cheap copy and support local Thai traders than some rich poxy wanke_r and their clothes label that is crazy expensive.

When in Thailand, I quite enjoy buying fake copies. Theres something fun about it looking through markets and checking stuff out. Of course theres plenty of the real licensed merchandise in department stores like Paragon or whatever, I prefer the knock offs its more satisfying to me.

I live in a Thai area of Bkk, I see and talk to katoeys on a regular basis, they are just normal people, never felt threatened by them, some of them are staggeringly beautiful, some of them are more feminine than some of the brass that passes for female in the tourist traps you have mentioned, some of them are very generous to their friends, most of all they usually have a sense of humour and are a good laugh and good company.

Well, the list did not mention anything about Facebook or Bloggang. So I'm safe. Her family does'nt have any buffaloes either, but the Tak Tak seems to get sick every now and then. But thats just life I guess. About the mobile, she has one that can hold up to five simcards at once but she only uses three, so nothing to suspect there either.
