I did. But it's been a while. I think I used my credit card statement as address proof (showing my address in english offcourse) Also, make note that you need USD 25K minimum balance for the Schwab international account.

Yes. I think it's time for all newly minted thais to accept that they will always be foreigner in eyes of thai people, albeit with a Thai ID Card. So just accept this fact and move on with your daily lives. There are a significant minority of Thai Indians, born and bred in Thailand since last many generations but they are still be considered Indians, with a thai ID card. -
The old blue PR book is kept by them.

No issues whatsoever, just keep returning before your re entry permit expiring day, get a new re entry for another year and leave again. You can do it all your life.

Thank you for the detailed insight and really seems that it was a masterstroke to use an agent, but they were an exception, not the norm, of the agents available currently. Out of curiosity, were you able to reinstate your PR since you were out of the country during COVID? If yes, if you could tell your experience here, may help somebody else on the same situation.

Hi Guys, Is the Re-Entry Permit office at Don Muang Airport still working these days? If so, what's the location of it? Before immigration or after immigration?

No. Permanent residents are still required to register for Thailand Pass and with appropriate insurance.

Tomorrow I'll go to the same process at BKK embassy. For the verified passport copy, do they copy the original passport themselves and verify it? Or they verify the copy which comes with santiban letter addressed to them? -
