  1. I cant understand why others are running down Thai tailors - If US Presidents are satisfied with Victor and Jesse at Rajawongse on Sukhumvit, they cannot be that shoddy. Just yesterday Victor was on TLC channel with a travel program. I have been using them for sixteen years and would never go anywhere else; key is to choose a first class fabric.

I got suits made here and was not impressed.

    Customer service needs improvement.

If you make an appointment at 4:00PM for a fitting, you'll arrive and then stand there (no chairs) for half an hour while they wait for a thai to run over from the shop with your suit.

  2. I am in Phnom Penh right now, will be using Travel Agent to apply for Tourist Visa. Been told double entry not possible anymore, NO documents (flight/hotel booking etc) needed but not sure they can get the Visa as my passport contains several Thai Tourist Visa's plus extensions already. Will know more in 2 days....

    Please report what happens.

Got my tourist visa here in Phnom Penh, single entry, within 2 days. Double entry not possible. Applied sunday evening, picked up tuesday evening. Used agent, no flight or hotel bookings needed. I have 5 Tourist Visas in my passport already, this is Nr. 6... I have been traveling extensively to Japan, Korea, China etc etc and not just TH to Cambodia and back... It should work if you are NOT from Nigeria or the Philippines as I was told...

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat. As long as I can get a single entry I'm happy.

  3. Anyone have a recommendation for a language school (not walen) or muay thai gym in bangkok that can get me an ED visa?

Seems Walen is so popular that you need a special recommendation for another school. Did we do anything bad to you or you just listen to some not so friendly posters on TV? Come and check for yourself, you might like Walen more than you know.

Walen School - so why not us?

Because if your school really was good, you wouldn't need to promote it so heavily on these forums.

Word of mouth would do it for you.

  4. This thread is about getting a tourist visa in Phnom Penh.

If you're under 50, single, and financially independent, there is no visa option other than tourist.

Travelling and re-visiting another city / area is nowadays my monthly option!

I was thinking about begging for another tourist visa -I am using that solution for the last 10 years- next week in Vientiane, but no...

I will just fly in/out for having a great breakfast and buying some descent wines instead of queuing and freaking out in front of the consulate.

Next month?!? I think that Macau is the plan... cool.gif

I just did the math and I think it's cheaper for me to fly somewhere every month and fly back on the same day than it is to get a new tourist visa every 3 months.

  5. We just came back from a visa run to cambodia. We went to see Mr. Keo, he said we needed a airplain ticket out of thailand, bank statement and contract for the house we rent, copi of the house onwers id card and the onwers mobile number, we was only able to get him copy of rent contract, onwers mobile number and bank statement, mr. Keo said i will see what i can do, but he was not able to help us.

We went to the embasy ourself and they wanted all thise documents but we did not have the rest of the document, the cambodian police outside the embasy said he was able to help us, and he did not need any document.

We paid him 60 usd for farang passport and 45 usd for cambodian passport and the next day in the evening he called us to pick up our passport.

But we where not able to get dubble Turist visa only the 60 days visa

If anyone need the number for the police man you can PM me.

What type of bank statement? Just that you had 20,000 baht?

Did you ask the embassy for a single entry and got refused, or did you only ask for a double entry?

I've been going to PP for visas for the past year and have always gotten refused for double entries unless I had a flight out of Thailand, but single entries have been no problem.

  6. Friend of mine just got back from Phnom Penh.

He got a double-entry tourist visa. Did not go through an agent. He went to the embassy himself.

And his passport is north African.

I don't know if they're trying to generate traffic or what, but I'm really thinking this Thaivisa report was a bit of dubious scaremongering.

Before you start condemning the information found on Thaivisa you had better find out what your North African friend had to submit in order to obtain his double entry tourist visa. North African countries already had to supply proof of return tickets and confirmed accommodation before this most recent announcement.

from what I understand from people in Phnom Penh is that no visas are issued to North Africans , unless they have residence of Cambodia.

My North African friend is back in Thailand with his visa.

He gave his apartment address. Did not supply any airline tickets.
