Yes op won't need to do anything.

Just always be ready to pay the fine for not living in your registered address as you read in some recent news.

if it did not happen to some others, it does not mean that it is not against immigration law.

    To op

some people say "I did it and no problem" ???????? because they believe if nothing happened to them then it must be the right way. ????????????

In my province, immi has been given orders to pay visits to every foreigner. Immigration lady confirmed and said they even go out on SATURDAYS!

    Scary indeed.

  2. Well, I've recently asked this question at the local immigration and they say it's absolutely not legal to move away from your registered address without registering a new address apart from taking trips. Not sure if there is any law that stated how long you could be away. But that's my local immi and others may say something different.

Keep in mind that some immigration offices, if not all, have a mandatory home visit. That's what my local immigration said. They may sniff around your neighbours too. Chances are low but you never know.

Of course, as stated above, if you rent a place and the owner isn't bothered to report your presence, you should be ok.

Well unless your name is Jesus Christ or Michael Phelps you will have difficulty in getting to Koh Lanta without a ferry!

    Ok, let me rephrase.

Don't feel like floating on rough seas for hours.

Lanta is a very short ferry ride and it isn't on the open sea.

I hope this gives a clear answer.

I missed that one last time I visited. Kind of food and carabao saloon? They can be fun, but long time since last I visited a place like that now. Before I did visit more festivals, but Im kind of lazy and to comfortabel these days to enjoy local culture anymore.

It depends on what people like.

    There's a great little soi ????

  5. Hi there,

I was thinking about spending a couple nights somewhere near the beach.

Was wondering if Lanta has come back to life.

Are there any tourists? Is there any noticeable nightlife?

To be frank, I'll only need a hotel with breakfast and swimming pool, and some sort of nightlife. Pubs with pool table, live music or some pumping music for "after party"?

If no life down there, I may just head to Ao Nang.

    Thanks

Well after centuries no scientists have been able to cure the common cold. It doesn't mean they won't one day but these viruses that affect humans and animals aren't that easy to cure. Fingers crossed but not holding any breath.

    Very true!

But hey, we all know from our lovely governments that these vaccine are "safe and effective".

We are so lucky how well we've been looked after.

Unfortunately you have completely misunderstood what "antibiotic resistance" means.

People do not become resistant to antibiotics  - you can neither gain or lose antibiotic resistance as an individual- and this did not happen to you.

When physicians and scientists talk about "antibiotic resistance" they mean that the disease causing pathogens -the bacteria- become antibiotic resistant through mutants that survive an antibiotic course. It is the disease pathogen you get infected by that is resistant, not you!

    Explained simply here:

Ok, let me rephrase. Bacteria, possibly, became resistant to the antibiotics that I was fed with.

Quatar ! Wanted  the exposure and publicity, got all the wrong sort of publicity and attention.

Beckham got paid millions to be an Ambassador for the event and has taken stick ever since.

6500 people have died during the construction of this event etc (alledgedly)

Thailand spent mutli millions to screen and wont allow venues to stay open to watch it !

Thats about all I know, or care to know ????

    Great summary!

Rather disappointing to see what revolves around this "fantastic" world cup.

I'd better sit down in a karaoke bar to listen to those talented singers!
