  1. He would not get out very fast as he has claimed in the Pattaya thread, previously, that he is old and poor and uses a Zimmer Frame. But wants to by a Gym, buy a motorbike and seeks advice on where to learn boxing. Etc. Etc. Also claims to be "A little Black Duck" Googled it and was not surprised!
  2. I have heard that the price of BYD EV cars will increase after 01Jan26 due to Government removing EV subsidies. Does anyone have any info on this? I have found conflicting reports and that Tax is reducing from 8% to 2% Was thinking of getting one. Thanks

Has anyone obtained an M Pass recently. Where do you get it? Thanks Oink
  7. I could never work out why my swimming pool always went cloudy in December if it rained. Then I finally realized that it was all the Cr@p in the air dropping on my veranda, then washing into the pool when it rains. Even now I cannot walk outside to the garage without getting black feet.
  8. The South East Asian Games will start 09 December and are scheduled, in part, to be held at the new Pattaya sports stadium. City hall pronounced earlier in the year that works were ahead of schedule. Since then, nothing. No grand opening announcements. Just silence. Twelve days to go. Tick Tock!
  9. A few days ago you were asking about buying a motorbike. now you are on a Zimmer frame. Guess the motorbike did not work out to well then. Could not understand why you kept referring to yourself as a "Little Black Duck" so I Googled it! "Little Black Duck Therapy is a private regional mental health service that specialises in trauma, attachment & complex behaviours" Is that you?

You are a "little black duck" what are you talking about?
  11. Was accepted in; KC Grande Koh Chang in August Raddison Bangkok beginning of September Amari in Koh Samui 17 days ago
  12. I use my Driving License as ID instead of passport for many things such as checking into Thai hotels. If it has the wrong passport Number it is going to ring alarm bells at immigration as the hotel is required to log you in as a guest within 24 hours of arrival. I also use my Thai License to hire cars overseas. It needs match my passport. Invalid license my also invalidate insurance. Not worth it.
  13. Heads up! I went to Land Transport Agency to change passport No. on Driving License, but they require a Residence Certificate (although address is same). So it is off to immigration again next week, then back out to LTA next to Highway 36. Got to be there before 14:30
  14. When I applied for my replacement passport I had to provide copy of every page of old passport. The copies were sent to UK and returned with replacement passport, so I had all the copies I needed, which were stamped and certified as true copies by VFS Global (the UK passport agent). I gave immigration the full set. You can bet if i did not they would ask for them. My copies were in colour as i used my own printer/scanner so there was no advantage in doing black and white.
  15. Your previous passport (one you got renewed) is now cancelled. So you are now registered with an invalid passport. Same goes for driving license, banks, Credit Cards, SIM cards etc. Could cause problems down the line. That is why I have changed mine now. Old one was valid until Aug26 but new extension is due Feb26. I needed to renew passport to get 12 month extension. Plus I still want to have access to my bank account. (cannot us old one as HMPO cut corner off to cancel) I would do it you are only delaying what you will have to do eventually. only takes a few minutes of your time.
  16. Did it yesterday afternoon. Easy Old passport with copies of pages. New passport with copy of identity page Fill out short form with old and new passport details Pick up today after 14:00 no fee.
  17. I got my new Passport yesterday and need to transfer my 12 month visa from my previous passport. Is anyone aware of the requirements to do so at Jomtien immigration. Just new and old passport or do they require more?
  18. Has anyone had any recent experience parking at U-Tapao airport. From what I can work out, you collect a card at the little hut at the entrance, but it is not clear how you pay. Do you pay at the little hut on the way out? Also, is there any difference between any of the three car parks? We are going for seven days. Really don’t want to try and work it out when we arrive at the airport.
  19. Lucky to get out! Hospital training motto: "A patient cured is a customer lost"
  20. He should be able to swim as he thinks he is a Duck Quackers if you ask me
  21. I live in Huai Yai and it is not unusual to receive two months post all at once. Not sure if the Thais have the same problem. Would be interesting to find out. If you are Thai please let us know. When we lived in Bang Chang back in the 90s my wife would go to the post office every couple of weeks and go thru a sack of letters they kept out the back addressed to farangs as they could not read the address if it was not in Thai. She would pull out our post and any others that were addressed to her friends. They would let her take them. That worked well! Post code 20150 post office is located on Sukhumvite opposite floating market. May be worth a visit if you are waiting for something. The office is towards the back on the left. They have pigeon holes for undelivered mail. We retired here as things are not as formal. Have fun! 😁
  22. Two ladies with a blue tanker truck. Emptied ours in Baan Pattaya 5. Very clean and tidy. Baht 500 for a tank Tel: 088 214 4096
  23. It is now a family friendly world class resort. Bring you wife and kids, then they can watch the drunken low life westerners fighting in the streets outside brothels. If that is not to your taste, then take the kids to see the homosexual and transvestite parade. Lots to tell the folks about when you get home!
  24. They could always reduce prices to stimulate sales. Waited for that during COVID when sales dropped to zero. Never happened. No discounts, nothing!
