For the poster who said masks in school are stupid.
Our school in San Kampaeng had to close 3
times due to students catching Covid. Masks played
an important role in not having MORE kids exposed.
In previous years it was called flu and schools did not close because of it (most of the times). It is called "training the immunity".

After I have seen how Thais are scared of Covid and keep using the masks like crazy, I stopped believing that they are not afraid to die because of Buddhism. Bull***.

It is the original Thai Elite visa. The 5 year visas that allow a one year stay replaced the original one in 2012 or 2013.
You have to apply for 90 extensions at immigration or leave and re-enter the country to get a new 90 day stay.
This quite substantially lowers the real value then, especially in times of further possible Covid 2 or Covid X when it might be again difficult to travel.

Nothing has changed, the US flights have not been banned when the USA attacked other countries either. And they were attacking countries far from their home land, somewhere whey they should not be at all. Russia, on the other hand, is protecting their immediate neighbourhood and regions that they had in their possession historically, too. I do not remember USA having any interests in Libya or other countries apart from the oil and greed. AND let's not forget that even the land they call home now was stolen from the "Indians".

So you want a maid who will also give you free massages (I am sure you expect the extras, too :-)) and want to pay her a few thousands a month? C'mon, you either pay a proper price (i.e. tens of thousands per month) and can expect some win-win situation and a reasonable trust in there (she gets reasonable money so she will be happy, too), or you can not afford such a maid and this is not going to work.

I would try Povidone or even alcohol, just to kill any germs immediately and effectively.

I've done this several times in the past 6 months. I send money from Citibank US to my Wise US account, which goes pretty much instantly. From my Wise US to my SCB account takes several days but I think it takes that long because I've been sending about $25,000-$30,000 each time. I put down the reason as general expenses and they've never questioned me about any transfer but it takes some time for it to end up in my SCB account. Wise keeps me informed of the progress, though, and gives me an ETA, which they always have met.
just make sure you are fine with the fact thet they will wire it to you via their local Thai partner so this will not show up as an international transfer on your bank statment and you will not be able to use it for buying a condo, for instance
-
If it is urgent, you might try to travel to the Thai borders and connect to one of the operators from the neigbouring countries and use roaming to receive the OTP SMS through them.
-
I have the same problem with AIS. Bank is in Cyprus, stopped receiving OTP messages. Not possible to resolve, AIS keeps saying not their problem. It is obviously being blocked on the Thai gateway working above the mobile operators.

I suppose you are fully vaccinated so what are you afraid of? And why did you get the vaccine if the first place if you do not trust it?

Hey, I am not there yet, I am just trying to find out if this would be possible since it will take me a few hours to get there and back and I do not want to waste time going there for nothing.

Can someone please confirm if there is a mobile phone signal from any Cambodian mobile operator so that I can connect to it and receive SMS messages? I am having problems receiving my foreign bank OTP messages in Thailand (it is being blocked for no obvious reason and I am unable to get it resolved) so I need to try to connect to a Cambodian network and execute a wire transfer this way. Thank you.

"The owner said that the only people who knew where the safe was were
the people who installed it. Even relatives did not know of its existence."
Another tip—never let anyone else to install it, and never have it ordered/delivered it to your address. Buy anonymously and deliver it yourself.

Moral? If you have a safe make sure no one else knows.
My money is on the maid or the AC service guys?
no, the moral is to buy a safety box only to distract the thieves, put some less valuable items there to satisfy them, and store the real values in a metal or plastic box hidden in a wall or anywhere else.

And you apparently have not died so the question is why even bother to test and all this <deleted> around it.

PCR tests cannot "detect anything as COVID", that is one of the myths perpetuated by various ill-informed websites that has taken on a life of its own.
PCR is simply an amplification technique. It can't find something that is not there. It just makes it possible to detect something that is there is only minute quantities.
The main problem is that it only detects viral genetic material, it does not distinguish live virus from dead viral fragments. This can be an issue for people i who had a prior COVID infection as bits of dead viral material may remain in the body for a few months..
as I have stated, it is "depending on the cycle treshold value". If you set it ridiculously high, it will detect covid in Papaya, too. Trust me.

Since the PCR tests can detect anything as Covid depending on the cycle treshold value, I would not waste my time and resources. If you feel sick, stay at home. If you feel healthy, be happy and enjoy your life.
