Is there really a pattern recognition software in the coin machines?

500 coins x 10 Baht = 5000 Baht in Thailand but if used in the coin machines in Europe, 500 x 2 EUR = 1000 EUR which is about 37,000 Baht. Seems like a good business idea until busted

Just visit the immigration and explain what you need, I am sure they will be more than happy to help you with this kind of visa. Or even use an agent, if you prefer the more comfortable way and do not care spending some fee for this service, but I do not think this would be necessary.

Why everyone is saying the immigration is reluctant to issue this type of visa? Has anyone tried (I doubt it)? I am sure if one asks, it should be no problem. 10M is not small money and why would they refuse it? Thailand would profit from it much more than from any other type of visa and it is a guarantee that this person has much money and will spend much in here, too. I really do not see any reason why would not they issue one for someone under 50.

VAT is paid by businesses only (not by private condo owners renting them out). If you use a management company to rent it out, however, this might be legit.

just put 10M in the bank, get a nice interest rate (compared with the western world) and live a happy life from the interest earned (around 400k Baht per year if you choose a good offer, like the one in KTB recently)

Do not rely on this extension until you have discussed it with Immigration. I have a condo, (over 10 million baht), and when I asked at CW if I could get an Investment Extension, they replied "no", because I hadn't purchased it from a government agency, etc., but from an existing owner. When I had to go to CW a few months later, I decide to ask again, (just in case there had been some communication misunderstanding), but this time I took all the purchase paperwork with me. Once again I got the same answer, for the same reasons.

well, this one is definitely your fault since the rules specifically say it can not be a second hand condo.... the reason is they need to support selling of new units

The answer is easy: why would a girl younger by more than 20 years stay with an old, probably fat and ugly man? Because he thinks he is a handsome man? It is a business, one side gets financial security, the other side gets young flesh. Works the same everywhere. Or do you think Thai girls simply like old men?

You do not have to pay, if you attend the school regularly. But if you do not pay, expect a check for your attendance. Seems like an easy money for the immigration, I just hope it does not go into their own pockets (well, it seems like it does).

Pay 3,000+1,900 to the Immigration your visa will be extended 90days and you have to pick it up by yourself.If you pay 1,900 bahts,you will get 15 days to check your studying at school and if you are,you will get another 75 days.
If you don't go to school,the visa will be canceled.

This is Thailand, no corruption whatsoever, everyone playing by the rules :-)

I have a single entry non-O visa based on marriage to my Thai wife and it will expire in February.

1. Can I go to the immigration and ask for the yearly extension in the last week of my visa validity? So if my visa is valid from 20 November till 19 February, can I go and extend it as late as on February 18th?

2. I suppose I should get additional temporary 30 days during which my extension would be evaluated and then, after these temporary 30 days are over, I would get a full year, am I right? Or are these 30 days included in the 1 year extension already?

Can I do this anywhere in Thailand, or do I have to do it in the area where I live?

What would be the reason to cancel a return flight? As far as I know, no refund is possible if the outboung leg was taken anyway.

5 times more than what, scooterboy? Thai Baht? If no, such comparison is useless since someone from Russia might also say it is 5 times less than what they would get in Russia at the moment. :-)

What about trying to extend in some other less corrupt immigration office? I suppose it can be done anywhere.
