There are 22 Arab countries in the world, and 56 Muslim countries. They could easily step up to the plate and help their Palestinian brothers find shelter and peace. But they don't. They want to put the responsibility on one country (population 9 million) and not on the Arabs (population 450 million) to find the answer and make concessions.

You sound like the mad Netanyahu - expecting/wanting Muslim countries to take all the Gazans.

Your spiritual home was created last century and if they had accepted what they were given, there could have been peace, but no, continually stealing and culminating in Genocide. It would be so convenient for you if the Gazans were sent elsewhere.

  2. The students are not stupid, unlike many in the USA, who turn a blind eye to the Genocide, and also the reasons that started it.

Israel has used a complex legal and bureaucratic mechanism to take control of more than fifty percent of the land in the West Bank. This land was used mainly to establish settlements and create reserves of land for the future expansion of the settlements.

The principal tool used to take control of land is to declare it "state land." This process began in 1979, and is based on a manipulative implementation of the Ottoman Lands Law of 1858, which applied in the area at the time of occupation. Other methods employed by Israel to take control of land include seizure for military needs, declaration of land as "abandoned assets," and the expropriation of land for public needs. Each of these are based on a different legal foundation. In addition, Israel has assisted private citizens purchasing land on the "free market."

Actions have consequences.  You think the Israelis are stupid? They would far rather have a prosperous, peaceful, and free neighbor.

Yes, they are stupid, and insane.

You are totally irrational now. How can you have a peaceful neighbour is you keep stealing their land?

I can only assume you have some interests in Israeli that you are hiding.

Since 1967, each Israeli government has invested significant resources in establishing and expanding the settlements in the Occupied Territories, both in terms of the area of land they occupy and in terms of population. As a result of this policy, approximately 380,000 Israeli citizens now live on the settlements on the West Bank, including those established in East Jerusalem (this report does not relate to the settlements in the Gaza Strip).

    Another toxic hate speech statement.

    You're anti-Israel are you?
What is that supposed to mean?

I take it as not supporting the right of Israel to exist or defend itself.

Similar to the type of hater who spits out the phrase Zionist Jews as if it's a curse word.

Why didn't you say anti Israeli government policies, anti Netanyahu, etc.

You've included everything of Israel. All of it's people. The totality of the very nation's existence.

It's another sign of your extremist obsession.

I personally oppose the regimes of Iran and Russia, etc.

That doesn't mean I'm anti Iran or anti Russia or that I hate all Iranians or all Russians.

You really can't help yourself. If you're trying to hide where you're coming from, maybe you're not, you have failed.

I was replying to you saying I was ant-Israel!

Nothing hateful from me, I've got nothing against normal Israelis.

It's obvious, to those without a persecution complex, that I meant the government and Netanyahu's Genocide.

You try to bring everything that I say round to religion -  I assure you it has NOTHING to do with Netanyahu's religion or any other of the Israeli government/army.

Which land would that be? AFAIK Gaza has been Jew-free for nearly 20 years.

There is so much info out there that yo are denying, it's comical.

Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories have expanded by a record amount and risk eliminating any practical possibility of a Palestinian state, the United Nations rights chief warns.

Gaza is a prison, you know that.  I was not talking about Gaza anyway. You are good at avoiding questions.

Since 1967 Israel has stolen a LOT OF land, don't deny it.

    From 1 week before Oct 7 -

ongoing expansion of Israeli settlements, demolition of Palestinian structures, daily violence and continued inflammatory rhetoric by their Government representatives

The frightening aspect of your claim is that you actually attempt to offer it as factual. There are no settlers in Gaza and Israel has not taken land from Gaza. There was historically, an Israelite population in Gaza and it existed through the Ottoman period. All jews were forced out in 1949 when Egypt annexed the land. There is no religious claim to Gaza either.  Yes, there are some Israelis who make provocative comments about occupying Gaza, but that is motivated solely by the constant missile and terror attacks that come from Gaza. Aside from that group, there is zero interest in Israel in having anything to do with Gaza.

And what's up with your Israeli query? You carry on as if it is a crime to be an Israeli. There are 1 million+ Israeli Arabs and your  comment impugns them.

Reread my post, I didn't mention Gaza, but Palestine.

With members here vehemently criticising protests against Genocide in Gaza, don't you think it's relevant if they are Israeli, or have relatives there?

It's the only rational reason to 'take sides' with Israel.

You can tell they are a bunch of losers when they specify 'no coffee'.

How about just close the entire campus. Block all roads in and out. Put a barrier around their 'camp' and let them stew in their own juice for a few days. No supplies allowed in. No vegan snacks. And worst of all, no attention. Just let them sit until they get over their tantrum. Then arrest them as they leave.

If they were demonstrating against anything else than your beloved Israel, you'd not be saying this. Look at the reasons you don't like freedom for Gaza, although pretty obvious why to others.

Whereas the Hamas authorities mainly responsible are absent from immediate threat in Gaza the rhetoric from Netanyahu and close allies negates any trust in promises made by the Israeli authorities.

The original ultimatum to avert total destruction of Gaza was to  release all captives. A proposal guaranteed to eventuate in Gaza oblivion.

The latest offering does seem more rational as a step toward resolution except that the focus remains  soley on Gaza and Hamas operatives while ignoring the more insidious progression of illegal appropriation in the occupied territories.

Releasing "thousands" of illegally detained Palestinians only to see them or others similarly detained without charge yet again  is a sop to the issue.

    v

There are a lot of pro Israeli people ignorant of all the illegally detained Palestinians. They just focus on the Israeli prisoners/hostages.

CAIRO (25 April 2024) – The Occupied Palestinian Territory is enveloped in a spiral of unstoppable violence, with stories Palestinians and other witnesses relay adding new depths to atrocities the world has witnessed since the beginning of Israel’s assault on Gaza over six months ago, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Francesca Albanese said today.

“The pace and intensity with which this violence has spread to the rest of the occupied territory confirms that no Palestinian is safe under Israel’s unfettered control,” Albanese said, concluding a visit to Egypt and Jordan.

The Special Rapporteur said Israel had once again arbitrarily denied her access to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, compelling her to report on the situation of Palestinians under occupation from neighbouring states.

No wonder Israel are not letting any journalists into Gaza.

I did my 90 day this morning.  It was so quiet the young trainee on the door didn't even give me a queue number.

The IO scanned my passport, printed out the new slip (30th July) and didn't even give a cursory glance at my form and supporting paperwork.

I then asked when the new office was opening.  He said "Another 5 months".

We'll see.  But they don't seem to be in a hurry, which suites me as I live barely 4km away.  The new office will be a pain.

I used to live about 4 km away too. Used to see the IOs buying gold at that Big C lol
