  1. (warning) This is something I have consistently noticed in my 3 years of being here. It seems that a significant proportion of the population seems to automatically assume I am dumber than them simply for being an f-rang. Example: last night some neighbors spent about five minutes going back and forth talking about how much they wanted to give me a ride home on their motorcycle, and the content was obvious. After the 5 minutes (after repeated efforts to say "bye" and obviously knowing what was going on), one of them spelt out in broken English "we go you motorcyc your house". Similar things have happened too many times to count. Maybe this is just because they are used to dealing with idiots from foreign countries, or maybe it's due to some kind of propaganda, but:

Do you ever feel people treat you stupid (or treat you like you're dumber than them) because you're a f-rang?

Probably wanted to give you a ride more or less because they wanted to make sure you made it safe home.

I've been in situations like that where they insist on "doing or taking" you somewhere.

Stop being sensitive, they are trying to help.

I am guessing that hoodie was not ethically made by Flint and Tinder. And I also presume that your body slam technique is based on countless hours enthralled by the charades of the WWF, etc. It is a pleasure to meet another intellectual powerhouse on this forum and it is truly a shame that you will grow old—or maybe die young from a protracted bout of cancer—lose any physical traits that you rely on for self-esteem, and will then die like the rest of us. My tears are flowing as I write this ... crying.gif.pagespeed.ce.ENG_hyc8Gu.gif

I'll slap the tater tots out your trap.

LOL and you as a white knight after seeing your house demolished by a physco would have called up the girl who did it and said "I'm so sorry baby, it was just a friend. I deserve everything you did to my house. I love you." SMH.

  6. I've been here 80 years. Fluent in Thai for 60 of those years. I've never once heard Thais slander farangs. Perhaps you're hanging around with whores and those educated to the age of 7 months?

I think it's the other way around

  7. Just read the topic headlines...scam, have nothing left, cheated.....

Anytime someone posts about a new girlfriend or success in their personal life, people can't wait to rip him apart. Its almost as if so many posters here relish in the downfall of others. And when you look at these negative posters, they have 5000 or more posts.

What are these posters like day to day in Thailand? Do they have families, are they happy...? Just curious as I never meet these types of negative people in Thailand in real life. Or are there a lot of truly unhappy people who outwardly project happiness, almost like a split personality? Very strange....

Because it's like Las Vegas. The city of sin. Tourists come and either leave with nothing, stay with nothing, or broken hearted.

They also want to go to Thailand but constantly say negative things about Thailand's men. Acting if they are superior.

Always mad because Thai people don't drop everything for the tourist.

    Just a shame.

  8. Boo whoooo ... I'm so sad.

Now I have to pay 60 baht for a beer instead of 50. :(

Waaahhhh. The Thai girls don't flock to me anymore like they used to... :(

Booo whooo .... Clubs aren't the same as they where 10 years ago, yet I'm 50 and still go clubbing?! :(

Waaaaahhhh... I'm moving to china! Thai people are not interesting and mean to me... :(

Sniffle sniffle ... Yet I probably never actually had a real conversation with a Thai person, unless it had too do with asking the price for sex for the night ....

Booo whooo... Thailand's economy is getting better and my money is getting weaker .. Mommy I need a tissue :(

Bye bye Thailand ... Waaaahh ... They will regret I ever left :(

  9. Why do you feel the need to explain yourself here ? No one cares.

    totster smile.png

He's fishing for some more questions to bash and belittle on the Thai people (as if all 65 million Thais are all the same) ..."like" the Thai people forced him to come to Thailand in the first place or stay in Thailand for 10 years.

  10. Good riddance.

    1. No ones going to miss your 50+ year old complaining ass.

    2. Your moving to china because you knows the Thai people are on to the foreigners game. And now want to run somewhere else where they are more clueless and accepting.

    3. Why shouldn't the cost of living go up? You have no problem making a ton of money where you come from, but complain when spending it on Thai products and feeding Thai family's with that money.

    4. You said it in your last sentence, you'll be back for a "prostitute run". Why? Not enough Chinese girls you can have bastard kids with?

  11. Coming from an expat family, I was raised abroad and have lived in many different countries as a kid. I only went home briefly to my home-country to study and finish my university degree, before I again ended up living and working abroad.

Now after so many years away from my home-country, I feel kind of "root-less" - like I have no real "nationality-feeling". I could basically live in any country and feel that is my "home". But at the same time, I do also not feel that I am e.g. Thai.

I feel more like I do not truly belong anywhere, but at the same time could live anywhere in the world and still feel fine about that. Its kind of a strange feeling. The times I have visited my home country, I actually feel like a complete stranger and feel stupid when there, because I e.g. do not even know how the train system works there anymore.

Can anyone relate to this kind of root-less feeling, of being kind of not really belonging to the country your passport is from?

    I feel this everyday. Lost....

  12. At 30., posting to a group of older men, about juvenile issues, will get you everything you are looking for, and then some,

    but again, at 30?

    something wrong here.

you are either disabled emotionally somehow,

    or lacked guidance too long.

You might have missed - he was raised by a Thai mother, estranged from his American dad.

    Estrangement is a choice,

    not the same as abandonment.

perhaps he was highly alienated as a child growing up against his father,'

MY DAD HAS A WHOLE OTHER FAMILY HE HAS TO DEAL WITH, ALONG WITH 6 OTHER HALF BROTHERS AND SISTERS HE NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF. I AM HIS FIRST BORN AND HIS PARENTS DECIDED THAT IT WASN'T WISE FOR ME TO STAY WITH HIM AND MY STEP MOTHER. BOTH WHERE ABUSIVE.

or the marraige a mistake the father made, but he is still a son,

I do not believe that a man who made it to thailand, and had a child, and brought the mother back to the USA was all bad. Perhaps he is waiting for his son to grow a set, and join him in business, or other part of life, rather than get beat up by a female emotionally?

MY MOM WAS NOT BROUGHT HERE TO AMERICA BY "MY FATHER" ... SHE WAS BROUGHT TO AMERICA BY MY HALF-BROTHERS FATHER .... SHE THEN MET MY FATHER YEARS LATER.

STOP ASSUMING THINGS YOU HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT.

perhaps he witnessed this as a child, and has recreated it in his own home?

I HAVE WITNESSED MY MOM GET SLAPPED (BY MY DAD) ALL FOR WANTING TO DRESS ME FOR SCHOOL. SHE ALSO WENT THROUGH SOME ABUSE IN THAILAND AS I STATED IN EARLIER POSTS. I HAVE BE WHIPPED AND ABUSED AS A CHILD/TEEN ALSO.

We dont know the facts, but, regardless of the circumstance, many people get a much worse start in life, and, if the father was truly bad, he would have left them in thailand, no?

think of the advice you gave me, not to have a child in thailand, unless I planned to stay there and raise it?

this is a 30 year old man, thinking like a kid,

I AM 29 YEARS OLD, BEING A GROWN MAN. I HAVE GROWN MAN BILLS, AND PROBLEMS. I SEND MONEY TO MY KID EVERY MONTH I DON'T EVEN GET TO SEE. I HANDLE EVERY BILL THAT NEEDS TO BE HANDLED. ALL MY DEBTS ARE PAID. WHAT I'M SAYING IS, OF COURSE I COULD STAY HERE AND WORK THIS JOB FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS AND "JUST GET BY" AND BE UNHAPPY.... OR I COULD GO TO THAILAND AND LIVE MY LIFE, WITH MY FAMILY AND LOVED ONES.

that can only mean he has a lot of catching up to do, and needs a mentor, and a purpose,

I have heard, no such purpose from him,

I have heard, and we all have heard, some very bad things from him though,

and there are so many places to bury a person in Thailand, I wouldnt want to be the girl that he hits when drunk, because she reminds him or some significant other, who wronged him. The thai's stick together and will kll for each other, especially to protect a girl

LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS? ARE YOU DEAD SERIOUS? I AM THAI. MY BLOOD BLEEDS THAI. IF ANYBODY IS GETTING BURYED IN A GRAVE IN A RICE FARM IS BECAUSE THE FAMILY HAS THE MONEY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. I'M NOT A FOREIGNER GOING TO THAILAND FOR THE FIRST TIME, WITH NO CLUE, AND PLANS TO BEAT EVERYTHING IN SITE. YOU DAMN IDIOT.

His mom lives in a bad area?

SHE LIVES ALONE IN A NOT SO GOOD AREA. YOU WOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT YOURS IN THE SAME SITUATION?

shouldnt that be the priority then, according to him?

or is his abusive girlfriend, the reason the mom lives in an unsafe place?

shouldnt he be working 3 jobs to get him and his mother, into a better place in life?

WELL I CAN'T DO IT ALONE, SHE HAS TWO OTHER KIDS WHO MAKE WELL INTO 70-80K A YEAR. WHO DO NOTHING TO HELP WITH HER BILLS OR ANYTHING AT ALL. YET THE POOREST KID OUT THE GROUP HAS TO PUT THE WORLD ON HIS SHOULDERS?

YOU ARE THE BIGGEST IDIOT ON TV. HONESTLY. ALL YOU HAVE DONE IS ASSUMED.

EVEN AFTER ALL THE INFORMATION I STILL HAVE PROVIDED.

Actually I wasn't raised by either.

I was raised by my dad's mother and father.

I basically reconnected with my mom full time since 19. When she asked me if I wanted to visit Thailand with her, I finally agreed.
