if you want to see what the 'religion of peace' is up to everyday in most every country in the world (including Thailand) go here: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com
it is a shame that the good muslims are too fearful to speak up against the extremist minority.

OK guys i have all the answers to all your questions in life and half the answers to your questions in the after life. after seeing this about 'the cat house' i decided to stop by for dinner. jack (or jackie) the owner was there and i told her there were questions about her new place. bottom line well it's only about 100 meters away on the same street on the other side going towards the moat. it's a much much nicer place and is called 'butter nut' (possibly 'nut butter'). hear are a few quick snaps. i did not eat there, but someone who was sitting next to me at 'the cat house' said that it was very good and by the looks of the prices on her blackboard it's priced very well as well. i did not see any sign out front, but did not look very hard. i had a short discussion of her lack of promoting her place and lack of promoting of things in her restaurant, but that's another story unto itself. i find that she has decent food at decent prices and she's a concerned owner, blah blah blah.

i made the same mistake while giving a lecture, but instead said, "a black women's nylon", so I knew what you meant.

Bloom referred me to IQ Lab for the printing on wood that i wanted to do also, so i assume that they're pretty good and they have two branches, but i've never been to either:

i strongly suggest that you explore the condo area at night too. all too often there is noise from nearby bars that are not active during the day. this has happened to me more than one time, also many of the common entryways are very very run down and depressing.

i've done it about 4-5 times and have not had any trouble. the cigar place does not put down what is inside the box, nor any price. i've had nothing but success with them.

i have them shipped in. much much cheaper

if it does not sell in 3-6 months the price is too high. i've sold two houses this year and learned this lesson after my first house was on the market for two years. dropped the price to where it should be and people were standing in line to buy it. my ego was in the way.

I'm going to be leaving CM for a couple of months and I'm looking at options of keeping my tools, kitchen items and a some clothes in storage while I'm gone.
I would keep in my condo, but I will be changing condos upon my return.
A search turned up Chiang Mai Removals... tomdfc mentions not a storage per se, but can they store about the equivalent of 4 square feet or 1-1.5 square meters of stuff?
Also, Chiang Mai Storage came up. They charge up to 250 baht/CBM/month.. What is CBM?
Any other options for keeping my stuff for 2-3 months?
Thanks
They have a very very large warehouse in Hang Dong and can store pretty much anything you have. Joy there speaks very good english and they delivered my items to my door just a few days ago here in Mae Rim. I believe that the two places you mentioned are one and the same.

There is a good one at Tanin market for 40 bahts I get a bag full of goodies. We bicycle there to for excersize.
I go there regularly as well and think it's the freshest and certainly the best bang for ones baht.

Most likely the most popular with X-pats. I go there tomorrow and my dentist teaches at the local university.

i'm a somewhat retired photographer here in CM. i think it's a good base for your needs. centrally located, airport, camera stores, electronic shops, can drive to a few other countries from here and you lease as long of as you have money to pay.
