Yes, there is no salary requirement for a 3 month visa. What I tried to say was that the mentioned salary requirement is for extension as he wrote that he had a work permit thru his former employer and wish to remain in the country.
-
No, you cannot get a work permit, except it is some special as e.g. jounalist.
-
According to your information, you have to use visa-runs as you cannot get a 3 month visa if your salary is lesser than 60K for US and 50K for EU.

Hi kerryk,
We may have some partners for you. And we have had one meeting with Sunbelt already.
Cheers, Robert

Hi,
Thanks for the great answer.
Maybe, if we go into this, we should start with 10 employees only...

Hi there,
I have a question. Maybe I should request my assistant to call Sunbelt (which takes care of some of my stuff) but I think it is a kind of interesting and thus I am posting it here.
I may have a new project in Thailand, and that may need 10 to 30 young farang employees. They will stay here between 6 to 12 months and are to enter Thailand with a one year multiple non-immigrant visa B (visa-run every 3rd month).
In this case, are there any special requirements re. WP to the company as e.g. share capital and numbers of Thai employees?
Regards, Robert

No, the license is issued for three years for a specific company and cannot be transferred, meaning it would be the same as applying for a new one anyway.
The license is for that company, and the bank guarantee is under that company name. However, you can run an agency under cover of a valid license, but it is not legal.
The company can be transferred and/or the board can be changed. The required Thai is only necessary upon applying.

You need a Company Limited for applying for a license, and if you are director in the board, you need a Thai in the board as well. Normally, you cannot apply without a Thai in the board.
Furthermore, you need a work permit. The problem is that Labour Dept. often wants to see a letter from ATTA before issuing a Work Permit.
However, you can step out of the board during the process for obtaining the TAT license.
After you get the TAT license, ATTA cannot help you with Work Permit anyway, as you need 1,500 Inbound tourists a year (you are not inbound, so you cannot show coupons).
Talk to a lawyer how to deal with the Labour Dept as a travel agency, which is restricted for farang.
If living in another province than Bangkok or if you have a good lawyer with connections it may be a bit different.

Hi,
Yes, you need a TAT license if customers pay to you. As I see it, you need a Domestic license. Then you only have to deposit 50,000 into a bank.
No, you do not need to be member of ATTA or anything but TAT.
But many hotels will not deal with website agencies, and you may get a bad contract rate. You properly need something more, if you want to be interesting for hotels as well as for customers. Because you cannot compete on prices.

Hello Everyone.
I am from Denmark and I am thinking of outsourcing part of our internet and web development to Thailand, but I dont know much about how to start a business there.
My questions are:
- What is the average salary ranges for web developers, web designers etc.?
- Experiences from others. Do you know if any blogs/websites written by people who have experience with IT outsourcing in Thailand?
Actually any help or links or comments or information would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
- Don
Goddag Don,
There is no such average salary as it consens experience, education (university) and language skills.
Some wannabee farangs may be a better investment than Thai developers/designers...
Med venlig hilsen,
Robert

Hi,
As I understand, you need at 2 mil baht co.,ltd. etc. for getting w/p + 1 year visa.
BUT for w/p only, 1 mil is enough, and then just do visa runs.
Normally expenses paid to a privat person simply need a copy of the check or the pay in slip and the bill.
-
Hi,
Putt the boat under Panama flag and you will have no more problems
Otherwise, you have to make a 2 mil co.,ltd., but w/p and travel licenses in combination are no longer that easy.
Maybe Sunbelt has a comment?
-
Hi,
1 mil baht is enough for a co.,ltd.
And you do not need a W/P for signing checks.
Another director can however take you out as you cannot sign and stamp as director without W/P.
But as usual in Thailand, lots of company activities are not thru a company bank account but thru a private one. You can do so for controlling the money.

Hi Smithson,
What are ppl's experience with receiving credit card payments? We have a registered business, but are finding this very tricky.PayPal works OK, except we can't withdraw directly here.
We've tried Thaiepay, but it's problematic
Siam Commercial seems OK, but they're not accepting applications at present
Bangkok bank wants 5% commision and 14K set up fee!
Can any forum members recommend others? Ideally I'd like something that is suitable for shopping carts as well as letting me send invoices with a message field for customers.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
What is the problem with Thaepay? I have been using it for years. Only problem is that the fee is 4% and they are slow...
-
Its no big deal. According to the new law, Thai can own land whether she is married to farang or not. There is no problems as long the wife does not die...

A company in Spain wants to send an electronic payment to my Thai Limited Company.
They are asking for a "tax exemption certificate", proof that the company is paying tax in Thailand so that they do not deduct tax at source.
Does anyone know if this document exists in Thailand and what it's form number would be? Would I get it from an accountant or from the tax office?
thanks very much
I think the company in Spain has misunderstood you.
As you are a Thai Co.,Ltd., you do not have any tax exemption because a company are simply subject to tax and vat in that country, which the company is registered. When your Co.,Ltd is registered here, it pays tax here, and that has nothing to do with tax exemption.
Try to explain that to them. Otherwise you have to go to their embassy and verify the tax ID of you company but that is not normal. I have never heard about that.

Hi Moderators,
1) It happened recently that somebody, a moderator (?), deleted a part of my signature without saying anything. I cannot see in the regulations that it is not allowed to use company name I the signature. Therefore is my question, are users not allowed to have a company name in the signature?
2) Last year a user asked for help reg. visa run and I, stupid as I am, gave a link to my former employer which provides visa runs. Then I was banned because I tried to help, properly coz it was considered advertisement. As I was banned, I needed to open a new account, no problem. But now, I realize that users are not allowed to having two accounts. Does it mean that I am to be banned again?
3) I posted a job ad in Free classifieds and suddenly I found out that it could be illegal. I thus wrote to Moderator to figure out but I was never replied.
Please understand that I have been using thaivisa.com in nearly four years. And that I always using it bona fide. Anyway, it still happens that I am banned or to be banned as well as not to be answered. What I am doing wrong again and again?
I really support Thai Visa and am recommending it to everyone but I need help to understand.

Hi,
Do never contact your embassy is this situation as they have no power anyway and they will make situation worser.Have you contacted the embassy yet, as previous posters have recommended. Apart from bustin in there and breakin her loose My advise would be contact the embassy, what else? -
Hi,
Yeah, you are probably right..Thanks for your input KronbergTH.But one of us is missing the point.
I doubt the girl detained is considering re-entering the Kingeom.
-
Hi,
It seems to be a so-called "minor offence", which means the person is allowed to re-entry Kingdom.
-
Jysk Travel actually bought one and drove it from Kingdom to Denmark http://www.tuktuk.dk/

Hi,
Yeah, you are right according to the new regulatons, BUT are we sure that Immigration never will accept 400K a year in bank from Thai wife? She could anyway transfer them to an abroad bank and return again? The money source should be foreign. -
Hi,
In case of Visa 0, whether you submit 40K a month or 400K in bank, you have to show evidence for the 40K a month or the 400K in bank, and how come you have 400K in bank.
If the wife is the one to deposit 400K a year in bank, it should be okay. But I am not sure whether pocket money 40K a month from the wife is okay as there is no evidence.
