What have they done....
Like an IKEA concept.
Now they moved everything around...
Fruit? No tourist bags, snacks? No tourist thirts.
Wine, beer. Somewhere in in middle
It's a mess, be prepared for half hour extra to shop
Now it's extra time to find anything
Gotta ask...wtf is a 'Thirt"

Guess that means Anutin will be the interim PM unless there's a coup.
IMV, PM did nothing wrong. Why shouldn't one PM talk to another?
Firstly she didn't talk to another PM..get straight on that.
Secondly it is what she said (and implied) that has caused this political upheaval.

I suppose that if anything drastic happens, I could always go back to NZ and get free treatment on the government health system, not that I want to do that, but it is an option if things get desperate.
With the state of the government (public) health system in NZ, you would probably pass away before being treated. Operation and doctor waiting lists are extremely long.

Isn't a 'pre-existing condition' one which exists when you take out the policy, and not one which develops over the duration of the policy?
Exactly.. the other posters are wrong in their assumptions of having to declare something during your policy term or at renewal.

Thanks. I don't know what the one on Pratumnak is called or what purpose it serves. I have it on good authority that it was packed and an absolute hell hole. There's a courtroom adjacent to the cells.
Edit: Pattaya Provincial Court.
You have it backwards. The cells are adjacent to the courtroom. The cells are for day use only, for prisoners whose court cases are being heard that particular day. The prisoners are then taken back to Soi 9 or Nong Plalai Prison, or the Soi 5 Immigration cells every evening.

She obviously said the army commander was on the opposite side of the political spectrum (i.e, not a Pheu Thai supporter), but language that critics argue undermines national sovereignty, the military, and the people of Thailand doesn't involve the whole of the military or the entire population of Thailand, let alone sovereignty. Sounds like making mountains out of molehills. Further, it was a private call, so whoever made an audio copy and released it should be let go as untrustworthy.
Seems like you are as naive as her.🤔

Thank you for the laugh of my day. Xi will be in power long after you stop posting on this forum.
Xi will never give up power voluntarily until Taiwan is of the PRC.. he has an obsession about this, and therefore he will be around to when that happens (tomorrow or 20 years from now).

China is over $50 trillion in debt. Chinese wealth is flooding overseas - capital flight is driving the country to bankruptcy.
Cosying up to Iran and Russia has backfired. Trump's tariffs are causing serious disruption to industrial capacity.
internal conflicts are soaring. Riots and industrial arson reported as companies cannot meet payroll.
However, the true barometer of who is in power in China is military command. The excuse for this guy is corruption - the truth is the CCP cleaning house.
Trump is going to destroy Chinese expansionism without firing a shot. The threat to Taiwan has gone.

As usual, you lie. Violent crime in America is primarily a product of inner city violence caused by black Americans whose lives have been ruined by the anti American policies of the Democrats
So white people, Hispanics and other immigrant nationalities are just lovely people who don't make problems and never get violent. What a crappy attitude to have in life.

No need to give it to them and pickup the next day like is necessary when the initial Non-O visa is granted. In my experience this is what happens and I've applied for several extension of permission to stay at Jomtien Immigration.
Regarding checking to confirm expats dwelling residence etc. First I've heard of it. But, I welcome it as I'd rather them be strict and filter out the riff-raff than be lax.
Don't understand your post....Jomtien desk #8 do not stamp your passport with your yearly Ret extension when you apply..always need to go back the following day to pick up.

I remember once seeing Glitter on Jim'll Fix It, Saturday teatime when I was a kid.
Only need Rolf Harris to turn with his didgereedoo and you would have had the (un)Holy Trinity.
I bet a few of the kids are still having nightmares after that episode.
And then Jimmy Saville also turns up😔

Prior to Covid. Pattaya was a lot better in the type of women selling themselves there. The bars and gogos sported sexier and younger girls. After Covid all I saw were middle-aged women who got fat. It took a couple years since then before some younger versions began to appear. Prices went up double to what they were back then as well. Pay more for the fat I guess. Also, came the online quickies rather than the GF experience Pattaya was well known for. It is very rare to find a girl who wants with you more than an hour or 2 nowadays.
One thing has not changed though. the majority of women who go there are Mommies whose man knocked them up and left them holding the crib alone. Sure, on walking street you could find University girls vying you to go inside the gogos to look at the fatties. But for taking home a sexy young one was/is difficult and expensive. Buying time with a woman in Pattaya now cost more than getting a girl in the USA where you can still find a street walker for 20-30 dollars. I go to Pattaya quite often and used to talk a lot to the women there. Rarely taking anyone home simply because I do not like quickies without any attachment. But I learned a lot talking and watching. Nowadays, I rarely venture from my room when I go there. It all seems a waste of money for what they offer now. Also, there is no attraction to the girls that are used and abused and getting fat. These women could not sell their wares in any other part of the country. They are chained to Pattaya being hopeful to find money or a man to take care of them in their dying years. Pathetic really that so many of them still get customers. But then, men do not use their bigger brains when horny haha..
You say you rarely venture from your room when going to Pattaya.
So WHY go there??..

Nah, mate. Pattaya’s always been built different. First time I rocked up there, what, thirty years ago, I clocked it straight away. It weren’t full of young stunners prancin’ about, nah it was mostly plumpers and old boilers even then. Half of ‘em looked like they’d just clocked off a shift at Debenhams. Old, haggard tarts, slappers, and sluts. The young ones? They were rare, like finding a decent pint of bitter in a Bangkok Irish bar. And if you did spot one in the high-priced go-gos, she was already booked by some Swiss bloke with orthopedic sandals and a gut like a sack of schnitzel.
And it made sense, didn’t it? The old boys, mostly Germans with ponytails, French geezers with dodgy moustaches, Brits lookin’ like they’d been left out in the rain, they weren’t after the young hot ones. Nah. They wanted the older ones, the ones with less ambition, ones who wouldn’t leg it first time they spotted some Yank flashin’ dollars about. Marriage material, they called it. Settle down, buy a shophouse, open a little cafe servin’ chips and Chang, job done. The young ones? Nah, too much admin. Always eyein’ up the next geezer with a bigger wallet and a better set of dentures.
Bangkok’s where the worldies were, always has been. If you wanted the ten-out-of-tens, you got yourself to Bangers. Or maybe one of the islands if you fancied a bit of that salty-air vibe. Pattaya? Nah. Pattaya was the retirement home of the game. It’s where Bangkok’s ex-stunners went to finish their careers, yeah.
So now you get these mugs moaning, “Oh the girls in Pattaya ain’t what they used to be.” Mate, what, you think it used to be full of? Instagram models? Get out of it. It was always Doris and her mates from the provinces, makin’ ends meet, lookin’ for a geezer with a bad knee and a pension. Always has been, always will be.
If you want the top shelf, you don’t shop in Poundland, do ya? Pattaya’s always been Porkerland. Great fun, plenty of bargains, but don’t complain when the packaging’s a bit battered and fallin' off the scale. Know what I mean, bruv?
What utter rubbish..30-40 years ago great choice of lovelies in Pattaya (of course in Bangkok also).......
Is the prose to get us to like the post and some guys to believe you.

My understanding is that I can gift money to a Thai person, transferred from abroad, and it will be tax free for the receiver.
So what is the procedure to send 5 million baht to a Thai person, not anyhow related to me. The person in question will buy a property with the money, and is it possible to file it as a mortgage, and still be tax free?
Do I need to ask permission, or fill in some specific documents. I will send the money using Wise.
This is a legit question, so no need for the cynics to tell me that i will lose the money.
Not being cynical, but you really need to research this subject before you transfer. Your "file it as a mortgage' doesn't really make any sense, and your "do I need to ask permission, or fill specific docs" shows you know nothing of Thailand's complicated rules and regulations, so once again my advice is to research this with a Lawyer or proper authorities.

I considered Upvc gutters but it's hard to find an installer, and if you find one they are more expensive than SS.
They are available cheap at DoHome, but the point is to find a competent installer, and from the reviews I read, they are scarcer than hens teeth.
There are no specialised installers for Plastic/UPVC gutters. Just the normal installers who do Galv and SS.
But in my experience SS lasts the longest, and Galv is fine for normal use. Yes can paint Galv, but not necessary to paint SS.
Plastic/UPVc does get soft and buckles after a few years (from own experience).

Now I am informed that after 12.06.2025 I will not be able to transfer more than 50.000 THB per day with my mobile App due to new regulations. Is that the same with all banks in Thailand now? Having an account in my name, but being no longer able to do transaction as I want?
This is their base limit for all accounts. But do you realise that you can change your daily transaction limits yourself (either as a 'one time' payment or forever in some of the the Bank apps. I do it regularly my for BBL and Kasikorn accounts.

Hello everyone. My question is petty above. Can I change my visa extension based on marriage to extension based on work without having to live the country? Im holding a work permit now due to my extensions based on marriage.
Confusing. If you are still married, you can of course work when on a marriage extension, so why the need for change. Unless you are no longer married and therefore not eligible for the marriage Ext anymore. Once you clarify this, others can give you more answers.

British Man Faces 21-Year Sentence for Human Trafficking
