I would be exiting Thailand a couple days after Permission to Stay date, and returning 5 days later, well before the 30-day Under Consideration return date.
I've done 4 yearly extensions already. Officials only visited our house the first time.
Good idea to tell the immigration officer, thanks.
I was thinking the alternative could be to apply for my yearly extension more than 30 days before my Permission to Stay date. I've read that some immigration offices allow you to apply for extension up to 45 days early. However a quick Google search tells me the Chonburi immigration only allows 30 days early, which I think might me cutting to close to my departure date.

I found a thread from 8 years ago saying that you can get a re-entry permit during this period. This was at CW immigration.
Does anyone have some recent experience that this still can be done? Just saving myself a trip to ask if anyone already knows. I'm on a marriage visa and will be doing my extension at Chonburi Immigration.
Thanks in advance.

I live on this highway, 3376. The highway has new street lights, but some sections are not lit for some reason despite having brand new lights installed. It been like this for over year. These unlit sections are really dark! I can relate to how it's hard to see things on the road. I'm sad to hear of the young man's death and condolences to the pregnant girlfriend.

Did KTB tell you that you cannot get a credit card? You should be able to get one since you are legitimately working in Thailand. They will require at least 6 months of you working at the same job.

Is a Thai citizen required to obtain a learner's permit while learning to drive? According to Wikipedia, the only requirement is that a person with a full license for 3 years accompany them. Any BMs have some first-hand experience with this? I'm looking to have my 17 year old daughter start driving.

Thanks ubonjoe. My thoughts are the same. I'm hoping someone as successfully done it with an e-saving account. Most banks have them now. Either way, I can do the income method if needed.

For this year's marriage visa extension, I opened an e-savings account from SCB because they offer a higher interest rate for my 400K. However, they don't offer a physical bank book. My guess is that SCB will print out a statement with their stamp as a guarantee in lieu of the bank book. My question is, has anyone here gone this route recently? Is this acceptable? My extension will be done at Chonburi immigration in Jomtien.

That's my branch and they called me several months ago informing me of the closure. The lady told me they were calling all of their branch's customers. It could be that they had an old or incorrect phone number for you.
I can see branches downsizing as most banking can be done over the phone, at an ATM, or online apps these days.

"We are physically evicted"
"We have criminal cases and civil cases in progress but they keep adjourning them"
By the sounds of it, it's past the 3 months and locks have probably been changed and/or people are living in the house.
I would appeal to the new owners to be allowed to get your personal items. Also see if you can get a recorded admission that they agreed to allow you 3 months to vacate. That might help in a court case. I know that verbal agreements are legally binding in many countries, but of course TIT. Worth a try in my opinion.
In any case, I wish you luck and hope things work out in the your favor.

I know many Thai teenagers have informal jobs working for family members or friends, but does anyone have a teenager (16 years old+) working at say, 711, a retail store in the mall, or a coffee shop like Black Canyon?
What is your experience with it? -

I purchased a brand new vehicle 3 months ago. I got a 7.5% cash discount. I told the other dealer that I was playing against about it. She came back with a 8.75% cash discount. Given the economic environment there are deals to be had.
I purchased a 2020 model as the 2021 were coming in soon. I also dealt with a sales manager directly. I made the deal near the end of the month as well. These may of been additional factors to getting a good cash discount.

Try buy some place "broken rice" that normaly most cheap! Watch local rice dealer not from Makro!
If grain is broken many people don't want eat that coz not yummy ( they say even same rice)!
Thanks, we asked the rice vendor at the market and they said he didn't know. I think he know, but wanted us to buy his rice, which we did because we needed it at the time. We'll try some other vendors, thanks.

We take care of 9 dogs. We mix dog food and rice to keep costs down, but we go through it fairly quick. Currently we're using the cheapest rice found at Makro or Tesco, usually 15-18 baht per kilo. Anywhere that I can get it cheaper? Perhaps somewhere I can buy rice that is not suitable to be sold in stores? Thanks for any suggestions.

Last year my Embassy (Canadian) told me they may discontinue letters so I started the month deposits.
They have not discontinued the income letters as far I know. I got one in Feb 2020 from the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok.

This is common mistake to not having checked the unit title deed. The title search will tell:
● If the seller has clear and legal title to the unit.
● If there are any mortgages, leases, creditor right of ownership (lien), or other charges against the property.I wouldn't save on Due Diligence for sure.
● If there are any mortgages, leases, creditor right of ownership (lien), or other charges against the property.
- Wouldn't this be shown on the back of the chanote? This is assuming it was registered at the land office. If it wasn't officially registered, would a creditor have any claim?
Also, one thing I would check is that the condo is clear of any outstanding balances at the Juristic office.

My grandmother caught it in her nursing home and didn't make it ???? She was 108 years old. Every day since I think about the long life she lived, and how much longer she could have lived.

We only need somewhere to cool down and sleep in.
You can get a one room bungalow complete with AC and bathroom, around 3 x 4 meters. They're generally referred to as knock-down houses. Not high quality but I think you'll be comfortable as temp housing.
This one is listed at B250,000. You can get a smaller one for less than B200,000.

We now have 2 left. The brown puppy (boy), and the black puppy (girl).

We have 3 healthy puppies to give away. They are approximately 4 months old. We have provided them with their first vaccinations as well. Please message me if you can give them a loving home.
@Mods: Please move to the appropriate forum if this is not the correct place for it.

I applied for my 1 year extension based on marriage on Jan 28 and received my 30-day Under Consideration stamp. My report back date is Feb 27. I saw a thread that if the date falls on a weekend or holiday you can go the last business day before the weekend/holiday, but can I go earlier if I'm not available on Feb 27? If so, how much earlier can I go?
Thanks for your replies

I registered at https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/. They sent me an email confirmation for which I clicked and confirm. I kept a close watch for the email (checked the spam folder as well) for my username/password. It's been 3 months now and still nothing.
I checked my status and it says,
Your registration was successful กรุณารอรับบัญชีผู้ใช้ทางอีเมล และเมื่อได้รับอีเมลแล้วสามารถนำรหัสผู้ใช้งานและรหัสผ่านที่ได้เข้าใช้งานระบบได้ทันที Registration Confirmation. Then an email is sent to you with your username and password. I don't see any online support desk. Looks like I will have to go down to immigration and ask about it, but I'm just wondering if any TV members experienced this and what did you do?

whats the difference?
They both do the same thing. Easy Pass belonged to Bangkok metropolitan and M-Pass belonged to the Ministry of Transport's Department of Highways outside Bangkok. Several years ago they merged so that either transponder works at any of their automatic gates.

Yes, a foreigner can get an M-Pass. Take your driver's license, passport, and blue book for your car to any KTB branch. I believe there is a 1000 baht deposit. The funds go directly onto your M-Pass card. They will issue you a transponder and top-up card. When I did it, I was in and out in 20 mins.

New car: accept Mastercard/Visa?

Yes, you can. The dealer charges 3% service fee. They seemed quite eager to make the sale, so I said I'll buy the vehicle right now if they waive the service charge. To my surprise, they said no, so I walked away.
