  1. i think its more exciting to go and meet them for myself,

they are there, ive been married for 7 years, and still happy,

    jake

I have found that people who are really happy with there lives don't keep on telling everyone they are happy every 5 mins.

On the other hand people who want to be happy but for some reason are not keep on telling themselves and everyone else they are happy every 5 mins.

If your happy great enjoy. But if your not happy then don't keep on saying you are just trying to convince yourself you are.

  2. This thread is hilarious. It really shows the insecurities of certain posters.

Just a thought.....perhaps the OP was sending money to a business associate, purchasing something, paying off a debt.......

Can you please tell us which posters and in what way they have showin there insecurities ?

If you can't tell us then please stop trolling and trying to get a rise out of people.

  3. No no this really does happen please don't joke about it. Before I was sending my ex gf 40000 baht a month. She had many buffalos so most of the money went on keeping the buffalos fit and healthy. The other money went to paying the monthly pay outs on the brand new pickup she needed for the buffalo farm business. It was going great but about a week before I was about to fly out and see the progress the business was making disaster struck ! Her brother was driving the brand new pick up, he list control and crashed into the buffalo farm. Killed all the buffalos and wrote of the car. Me and my ex gf where left with nothing. She was so upset when she phoned me to tell me what had happened. So upset that she couldn't even see me when I got to Thailand.

These stories really do happen wink.png

that sounds like a real lot bad luck. Hope you could help with some money to buy some new buffalos.

At least the families are still intact in Thailand. Often the brother is helping a lot and even sleep in the same room to give company in such hard times.....

Of course I sent some more money for the new buffalos. But the bad news was the buffalo price had gone up so it cost more than I thought it would.

Her brother who crashed the pickup he has left now. But now she has her other brother living with her. My gf thinks in about 6 months I will be able to go and see the new buffalo farm. She just needs more money to build it bigger and better than it was before. First she said about 1 million baht but about a week later she said she felt bad for me sending so much money so she said about 900k baht. She saved 100k baht for are future together. Where back together now she must really love me :);)

  4. I need to remit some money to a friend in Thailand. Because the need for some quickness, I decided to use some fast service like Western Union due to ease and speed.

However, when filling out the information I ran into a concern. I have the person's name in Thai (from email). Should I use the thai for first and family name information or should I ask the person for a more romanized version (I don't know how to pronounce the family name section as I've always used his nickname).

The reason I ask is I assume the recipient must show their ID.

    Cheers....

    Sisyphus

I am sure your friend will have used western union before. She will know what you need to put wink.png

I love you I love you,You so handsome , Please send me some money, My family have no money for blah blah blah

And don't forget that buffaloes are very sensitive animals, they get easily sick and animal doctors are very expensive in Thailand.....And mum is also at the hospital, and hospitals are very expensive, too.

And while I take care for mum and the sick buffalo I can't work in the bar beauty saloon. My "brother" want to buy a pickup so he can delivery goods and pay back every month.....

    blablablabla

  6. I was on a baht bus on Soi Buakhao about an hour ago and much to my surprise a couple of Caucasian ladyboys got on.

They were not Thai. They looked white-skinned and were speaking some language I couldn't recognise. It wasn't Russian, it wasn't Arabic, it wasn't 'Indian'.

No idea where they came from. Romania? Armenia? Slovenia? Wish I'd had the guts to ask them.

Not my kind of thing but in case you're interested I thought they were rather big boys to be cute.

Maybe I haven't been getting out enough recently but is this a new phenomenon for Pattaya? Or maybe there's just some special international show on at Alcazar?

I can think of worse people to be sat on a baht bus with.. Like a bunch of drunken British lads !

    I am British to

  7. OP, I am right in thinking from reading your posts on this topic that you have a child/children with your ex British wife ?

And yet you stated that your life only began when you met your thai wife ?

What a awful thing to say that your life only began when you met your wife. When you had children before you met her. What about your other children do they mean nothing in your life.

Good feel happy topic but you need to get a grip of what's important on life.

If I have miss read anything and I am wrong please tell me and I will delete this straight away.

  8. Here we go again, if you don't like it you can leave... there are many Thais that think as I do, nobody tells them to go home. My wife is maybe the honestest lady I ever met, she too, thought that this was 'normal' until I discussed with her about democracy and the rule of law. She got it straight away, which apparently you have not. It starts way, way up there at the top of the power structure and evidences itself right down here at village level.

You don't have to accept it to live here, it's not for nothing that people from the village come to us for help, they know they won't get any money from us, but I do have the balls to go over and sort things out when things get rough.

The Thais don't need westernising, they need a few examples of people that try to do right, like my wife.

Of course your wife is the most honest lady you have ever met.

So was my ex wife before I found out other wise ;)

  9. in fact PATHETIC perfectly describes about half the posts and posters i have seen on tv though the years, give or take

    some of you are masters

    at being a holes

    and enjoy it too

    i can not compete

    can not even come close

the part of me that might be similar is the one that keeps typing

    when i confront that demon

my work will be done here

Do you write songs for a living ?

  10. all of you have much more bettter things

and more correct things to say about this topic than i do

it can cleaarly be seen here

in your small minds and miniscule dark hearts

TV = good ol boys club

    running around the palygound

    looking for those

    that dont fit it

to ostersize (sp) so they can feel better about their SMALL patheitc souls

    note to self

    why even bother

OP from reading all your posts on this topic it sounds like you are in the early stages of a breakdown.

Get some help before you completely lose the plot.

  11. Poor Thai people working in 7/11 or Tesco's etc, have to go to work on motorbike. Unlike in the west where they arrive in their brand new BMWs.

What's the minimum wage in your home countries, then add to that the cost of living.

At least here there are jobs, last time I was back in OZ, A supermarket chain advertised for some shelf stacker's. 2000 applicants for 10 jobs.

The money may seem small, but they can live. Jim

Which tesco's in the west do you shop at ??

I have never seen anyone who stocks shelves turning up to work in brand new BMWs

  12. well as thai kids struggle with there own Language yeah there would be a problem.just go back home and give your child a chance of a proper education not the silly thing they call education here.

My step daughter had been in a Thai school before migrating to the UK with her mother and I. When she started school in the UK she found she was ahead of her British contemporaries in subjects like maths and science.

This was in a way a help, as she could attend her English classes whilst her friends caught up with her in these subjects!

I have never read so much rubbish in my life. Do you honestly believe what you have just wrote ? It's great that your step daughter fitted in well to a UK school. But please don't tell us that Thai schools are teaching better Maths and science than UK schools.

    Utter rubbish

He didn't say that Thai schools are teaching better Maths and science than UK schools, what he said was his step daughter was ahead in Maths and science so it wasn't an all encompassing statement it was a specific case. I understood it, maybe you just missed the point?

It is still was still a load of BS.. So the school was letting his 'daughter' miss maths and science classes to have English classes. I wouldn't happen like that at all. His daughter would have had her extra English lessons after school.

    Load of rubbish.

  14. 'pale skinned' rich thai-chinese ladies are VERY fussy about a man's background. The girl I was seeing came from a good family and even though I come from a 'good' family myself it took ages to be introduced.

I laughed when said she only dated "A list' men in Bangkok, models and actors etc (taste and money are separate entities).

Have you ever thought that the reason you were never introduced was nothing to do with your background or ' good family ;) '. It was more likely to be if you are the person you sound like from your posts she didn't want you to bore her family to death for a night .
