Did he make this ' mistake ' on a daily basis ?
LOL you really are a sad little man.
You posted the exact same post that got deleted less than 5 minutes ago, guess your wifes attention is elsewhere, obviously not with you.
Secondly you add me as a friend, why you think it will annoy me...? No I just think there is a little man with nothing better to do and is so unhappy with his meaningless life that things like this give him joy.
I dont know about transam's life. But you have hit the nail on the head about mine. But hey at least my life is still going to better than your ' friends ' life for the next couple of years !:jap:

One good point from this post is. Well done to the Thai Police for getting this guy and sticking him were he belongs. Lets hope they make a example out of him with a tough sentance
-
I hope your ' friend ' gets locked up. What a loser for having crystal meth. Lets hope he's is for the long run. 10 YEARS PLUS. Please no one help this guy out
Yes they will send him to the slammer... Crystal Meth is a big no no. In short he will lose alot of money or his freedom. I hope its his freedom

The Farang owned one that has advert banners on both the english language samui newspapers. Never used them but i assume they must be busy... because advertising on the front of the newspapers costs a small fortune by samui standards
-
At least there is one guy in Pattaya that knows how to make money rather than lose money with his 'Cue'
-
Yes ask for a taxi away from the land before you your gf signs the papers. Farangs CANT own land ( unless you invest like 40 million baht or something )
Now if you gf is buying the land with her own hard earned money then i will stup up right now

there are people that just go flipping bars.In other words they buy the bar just to sell it at A higher price. They don't buy the bar for the business.Their sole existence is to buy and sell the bar.I've seen this alot in thailand.
I don't believe this for a second.
Why not just name the bar? It isn't defamation to say a place is, in your opinion, overpriced. What is the name?
I think you need to believe it.
I am not naming the bar beucase there is no need to single out just one guy when so many people are at it. If (and that is a huge IF!) he sells it then good for him
-
Will be in the fishermans over the weekened. Do you sell lasange's and pizza's ? If so what are your prices like ?
Cheers

Why do some people grossly over price there business when trying to sell. The one i have seen recently is not Thai owned its Farang owned. Its a bar ( which i wont name or say the location of ) for sale for 2 million baht ! In the bar is a couple of Tables and at most 10 chairs, a half ased bar with a couple bar stools thats it. I would be suprised if this bar has ever broke even in a month. But still the farang owner has set his sights on 2 million baht. He must know he has no chance. so why bother ? The bar at most is worth 200.000 baht and he would do well to get that. But it seems to be the norm here . Some of these places that use the term ' Business for sale ' are insulting the word business.
Rant over... I know alot of bars here on Samui are worth 2 million plus and have profits and customers to show for it.

I have just been talking to my friendly BIB (he helps me with security) and he said that in the new Chewang police station the water was up to their chest. The police cars - the water was up to the roof. They could not get out! I don't know about other locations.
Next time he comes to get money from you dont give him any. Then see if he is still as friendly

To the OP. My advice would be .Go after the ' senior member of staff ' . Try to get her Full real name, also even better can get some sort of Photo of her at her place of work. With her name and Photo , Send them by email with you bill ( signed by her if possbile ) To Toyota head office in Japan. Dont bother with Toyota in Thailand. Write a little letter to them in English telling them what has happened. Making sure you include that you have always thought of Totota as your first choice of Car no matter what country you lived in before, saying now after the service you have recived from this woman in the dealership you will look to other car makers in the furture. Also in the letter put something in about you thought you where getting ripped off just becuase you where a Farang. I bet within in 2 weeks this girl will get fired and lose her job. It can be done and it has been done. The people fixing the car in on the scam yes, but they will be getting orders from senior members of staff. Get this girl fired and maybe the others will learn for the furture.

The process is very difficult, and rightly so. Basically there are two types of adoption - a legal adoption ( usually done through an adoption agency) and a de facto adoption ( where you can show that you have " adopted" the child ). The rules have been designed to stop people in the UK from bringing over family members and children of friends, etc as " adopted children". Therefore, the tests are fairly rigorous, and include you having to show that your wife, and not the child's real mother, has had full parental responsibility for the child. That is not easy when the child is still living her her real mother or parents. There are many other provisions that you and your wife would have to get through before you stand any chance of doing this. The days of bringing family members to the UK as "adopted" children in order to give them a better life have long gone.
Yes it is difficult and rightly so, it should be made impossible in this situation. I dont mean to sound like a moody old bast**d. But the child in question has no right to be in the UK. Just think if it was the other way round. What would the Thai goverment say ? I know there words would be something like the child is not Thai so we dont care. Why should the UK goverment let a child into the UK to give them a free UK education when really they are not entitled to one . Also what happens if you and your wife spilt up. That means the UK goverment will be paying out child support to your wife for a Thai child with no right to be in the UK.
No personal offence to the OP . But Guys should think more and not just try to impress there Thai wife and there ' Thai Family '

I would say with the way Thailand is heading as a country . DONT. Unless the person in question is coming to Thailand to take up a really good job. 150,000 baht a month plus. If they are coming to start a business then i would tell them forget about it. Might as well go to Vegas and put all there money on red or black.
You took the words out of my mouth.
After traveling to and spending much time in Thailand over the years, I decided that the Pros do not outweigh the Cons long term. I still enjoy spending time in Thailand, I just will not put down roots and commit capital to living there full time. Also part of the reason I now live in Costa Rica.
Now Costa Rica thats a nice country. To the OP tell the person who is thinking about moving to Thailand to Costa Rica instead,
1 .Costa Rica has better and much much cleaner beaches than Thailand.
2. The locals dont just judge you becuase of your skin colour
3. Real Laws not run like a childrens playschool.
4 The women in Costa Rica in general are much better looking.
The list could go on and on me thinks.
Dont get me wrong Thailand is ok but far from good.

Shut up and do what ? Thai people in general ( not all ) with there self centred attitudes ( of thai people know best, i mean where did they ever get this from ?? ) have messed this country up beyond the point of fixing it.

Farm Visits
in Isaan
Westerns farming in Thailand . Are you guys listening to yourselfs ?? I think on a jobs list for most people from western countries. Farming in Thailand would come somewhere below being a police chief in Mogadishu.Whats the point ?

I'm not in the least surprised, Only last week I had to lend our scaffolder a spanner to tighten nuts on fixings as he just hung on them after hand tightening them to check if safe enough !!! Also same week took my sons bicycle to a reputable (god only knows how) bicycle repair shop for two new tyres to be fitted. It was returned with painted white 'Direction of travel' markings facing backwards and a nut missing.
They were really jostling with the Laotians and Nigerians at the back of the queue when God handed out brains weren't they.
Yes but as the Nigerians were stronger they got what was left. Leaving nothing for the Thais and Laotians. :jap:

Have you been living together as a couple for at least 2 years ? By living together it has to have been pretty much non stop . If you have been in different countrys for 6 months or so at a time you wont get it. It clearly states that to be eligible for a Unmarried Partner Visa you must have been LIVING together as a couple for at least 2 years and be able to prove it with documents ( many of them ).
