I have seen those smaller ones sold on many markets. Dunno if they are toys or real.

When is the earliest point to apply for a 3 month extension on a 1 year ED single entry visa?
Does the visa holder need to wait 2 months before they can apply for a 3 month extension and a re-entry permit?

88. 888 baht? You mean 8888 baht? Ah it's an error for sure.
Google consumer reviews for all the items u are buying.

Yeah, put it in a bank, we've seen how much we can trust banks, right !
Worrorot market.
1 road back from the riverside road.
Head down this road away from Worrorot towards Tapae.
Look up, you'll see a pedestrian bridge.
Where the bridge joins the ground on the right there a very small gold shop.
One of many in the area.
50 Baht commission.
Thanks this was the information that my friend was looking for.

You're spending thousands and are worried about 200 baht?
Or if this is an investment, then go to a bank.
I hope you don't post in investment threads anymore.

Thanks for your reply.
I've read that, but the spread seems to be only 100 baht in most gold shops, so it should be only 0,5% or even less with today's high prices.
If you buy and sell through the major gold trading houses, then yes, the spread really is only 100 baht.If you walk into any random retail gold shop, they will generally try and charge you 200 baht over the retail price when you buy a bar, and sometimes short you if you are trying to sell back as well. Generally when this happens, all the shops in the area are doing the same thing, so your only choice is to try a different part of town.
Stick with the brand name investment houses if you want to avoid this issue.
Where to buy gold in CM without paying 200 baht extra on top of the spread? My friend would like to buy a bar.
Please recommend shops.

What are the best ways to make sure that the gold is real 96,5% thai gold, and not less?
The page suggested taking it to the laboratory, but that is a little too slow process and inconvinient and trouble some if the gold in reality isn't what is supposed to be , claims etc.

How much is the gold spread between sale and buy back price?
If I remember correctly it is about 0,5%
For example gold shops sell the bars at 22 000 and buy it back around 21 900.
Do the shops apply any additional charges on top of this (if just purchasing a small bar, no jewelry)?

We have played at the beach court.
We are looking for 1 or 2 regulars who would like to play with us. You don't need to be the best player out there, just have a little bit of experience so that the game runs smoothly and the balls stays in the air.
Please send me a private message.

We sent a small refrigerator to Lamphun from Rayong last year. Used the Thai Post. They came to the house for pick up for an extra 100 baht. Don't recall the mailing rate but less than 2000 Im sure. THe fridge was in original box
A Thai transport company will do the job for 1950 baht. It includes packaging.
I will let you know if we choose them and how it all went.

Anyone driving from Bangkok to Chiang Mai this week or next week?
Need to send a TV - I will compensate for the effort.
If there is some room in your car, and you would like to do this, please contact me. We will agree on somekind of a price.
Post here in this thread with contact details or PM me.

Thanks a lot.
I called them and I was quoted a pretty heft sum for the transfer - about 3300 baht.
I was sent a package from BKK to CM a year ago by DHL and the hotel charged me 650 baht for it. The DHL telephone agent quoted me that the cost of that item by paying cash would be about 3300 baht also - so the hotel has a really good deal and a discount rate with DHL.
The DHL sales team will make me an offer and call me back with a better price. I will let you know what is.

There will be no one who can go to bus station and send it there. It has to be a courier.
And i would not trust bus companies with anything valuable.

What is the DHL, FedEX, or UPS telephone service number in Bangkok?
I need to send a 50" TV to Chiang Mai and need the corier to supply a box for it.
Last time I paid 650 baht for a 20kg package (own packaging) to be sent domestically, and it was delivered next say If I recall correctly. Can't remember which company it was.
Which company do you recommend for this? If you have info on prices please let me know.

According to QBE they will refund premiums if one cancels a policy. I will ask will they refund the remaining days fully or will they deduct something.
They might insure part a year also. I will ask them on that.
PS. Will we get in trouble if we ride a car that has no valid mandatory insurance active?
PPS. Do we need to get that mandatory insurance from the same company we will eventually get the A class insurance, and how much does it cost about?

My wives AIS prepaid is even worse. On her older Nokia the messages have hyperlinks in them and if she accidentally presses a button it will automatically charge 8-50 baht from the account.

I called them about a week ago and they said they will stop sending SPAM. But the spam is still coming.
They asked me to call them again if theres still more spam. Why couldnt they just turn it off the first time.

This issue has been turned into a political one in America. They are trying to save as many jobs possible. Thus the "dont buy a japanese car, buy an american car".
They would buy American cars if they were any good to begin with. American car makers need goverment subsidising in order to compete with others. (Goverment bail out and federal money)

The mighty Toyota
I'm glad they are taking care of their customers and fixing any possible problems.
It's not about Hilux anyway so that doesn't serve in this thread. The news was about Avensis.

In the West the law protects the individual and one can subscribe easily.
Not the case here.
