  2. Hi,guys!

    It's videotime again!

This time it's all about Ladyboys! oops.gif

Video was filmed in the famous Soi Crocodile/ Soi Katoey just off Soi Bangla in Patong Beach, Phuket.

Every night Katoeys takes to the small stages in this soi where they dance in front of a curious and amazed tourist crowd, that happily shoots away with their cameras!

If you want a more close up shot with a Ladyboy they will be glad to pose for you for a small tip!

They have a Cabarét at the end of the soi where they'll perform their glamour shows later in the night for a paying crowd.

  3. Hi, guys! Time again for a new video!:)

This is the premiere for my latest video from this year's trip to Patong Beach.

Video is in Full HD 1080p so best to view it in full screen.

The film is longer than usual at 15 min, and contains both day and night time shots.

Sorry about the somewhat shaky quality, and music was choosen in a rush, so might

not be the best for this video, anyway...

I hope you'll enjoy it! :jap:

  4. An "escape-the-Songkran-visa-trip" to Singapore 10 of April- 18 of April 2011.

    post-118262-0-07027900-1309032249_thumb.

Every year I try to make the finish of my Thai Tourist-visa-extension to coincide with the Songkran festival so I can escape the madness of the "water-war" ! :D

This year I decided to go back to Singapore, because cheap airplane tickets and more interesting than Penang my normal place of escape!

I bought a ticket with AirAsia from Phuket to Singapore total cost 3100 baht one way. I stayed at Hotel 81 Lucky in Lorong 20 in Geylang cost for room 59 S$., about 10 minutes walk to the Aljunied MRT train-station for easy access to all the interesting places around Singapore.

Hotel was OK small simple clean aircon room with a double bed, flatscreen TV, tiny closet for your clothes, bathroom with hot/cold water shower, also had a hair blower and water heater, no fridge though.

I booked on their website and got a free Wi/Fi Internet connection in my room. Normally you had to pay 10 S$ a day for the use of Internet.

    Link to their website:

    Hotel 81

Unfortunately I got a very bad cold during my stay in Singapore with fever and sinus inflammation that spread to the inner-ears as well! I didn't indulge in any P4P just did some normal tourist sightseeing in the day, because of my illness I didn't venture out after dark!

Lots of building construction was going on all over the "Lion City", especially around the Marina Bay area with the new Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Casino, also a lot of change on Sentosa Island including a "Universal Studios"!

I won't bother you with too much writing but let the photos do the talking! Here's a link to my Photo-Gallery:

Hope you'll enjoy my pictures! :)

  5. Hi, guys!

Back home from my latest trip and here's my first video from this year:

A video shot at Lumpinee Park in Bangkok, Thailand.

Showing some of the animals that roam in this park, that is a tranquil haven in the middle of the busy metropolis of Bangkok.

Most famous is this park for the big water monitor lizards that lives here, that are quite unafraid of humans and easy to approach.

They live mainly on the big catfish that swims in the lakes.

ps sorry about the somewhat shaky filmage, I was too lazy to bring a tripod, so it's all filmed by handheld video-camera!

  6. I just came back to Pattaya this Friday on one of Roong Reuang Tour's buses from Ekkamai.

First there was a long delay until they got a bus to Busstation, but when we finally went the driver drove like a maniac!

The whole bus was wobbling from side to side and I prayed to God to let us through safely, especially as the road-sides

of the elevated Highway are so low, and if you hit them you'll fly over and down to an almost certain death!:o

Same thing happened 4 days earlier when I went the other way from Pattaya to BKK, it was hard wind that day

and the driver had big difficulties to keep the bus going straight, zigzaging all over the road!

No way he would slow down, just stepped on the pedal like a maniac!

  7. Been raining on and off here in Patong Beach Phuket as well for the last week with nonstop raining the last 3 days!

It's not that heavy although there's a strong and gusty wind, but no floodings in Patong.

The beach is all but deserted and all beach chairs bundled up, most tourists are now flocking in JungCeylon Shopping Centre or

    hiding out in their rooms!

It's supposed to subside on Friday I've heard.

  8. Hi!

Will be landing in Bangkok on April 14 and just wondering if there still will be watersplashing in the capital by then or if it is only on 13th?

If water war is still on on the 14th is it all over town or only in specified areas?

I know in the South of Thailand 14th it's mostly all finished and dry, but never been in Bangkok during this time.

Will be staying on Sukhumvit Rd near The Nana area.

  9. Hi!

Being over 50 myself and experiencing less libido and sexdrive for the last 2-3 years I decided to take some bloodtest at a small clinic in Nah-Kleua.

I choosed PSA and Testosterone, they only had one test for the latter one so I guess it is total T, costs 800 baht and 600 baht.

Had the blood sampled on Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening I received the results by E-mail, tests were sent and made at the Chonburi Hospital.

PSA was at 1,37 ng/mL which I suppose is normal for a guy my age and good as long it is under < 4,0 ng/mL

I expected the Testosterone level to be very low though, so I was very surprised when I saw the results!

    Testosterone was at 1014 ng/dL, normal range 241-827 ng/dL

    or 29,4 nmol/L, normal range 6,9-27,8 nmol/L

    Over the normal range!?

I'm not sure how to interpret these results, is this normal levels?

Could it be that I'm not suffering from any hormone defeciency after all or

should I go for more tests including SHBG (sexhormone-binding globulin) and Estradiol?

Maybe most of my Testosterone has been bound to SHBG and hence is not bioavailable?

Are there any other cheaper clinics in Pattaya where I can take second hand tests for comparison?

    Thanks in advance!

  10. Olympus Challenges The Lx5 And S95 F1.8 Zuiko lens

Don't forget the Samsung EX1/TL500! :whistling:

    Review post-118262-0-67022700-1294592204_thumb.

    • Good image quality, particularly at lower ISO settings
    • Extremely bright F1.8-2.4 lens
    • Useful 24mm equiv. wide angle
    • High ISO performance good up to ISO 800 (and higher if processed from RAW)
    • Accessible, quick-to-use manual controls
    • Superb bright, high-contrast, articulated OLED screen
    • Generally well optimized JPEGs with good color response
    • RAW capability with fully featured RAW conversion software
    • Well implemented manual AF point selection mode
    • Reliable focus and white balance
    • Face detection / tracking AF modes (though neither terribly effective)
    • Compact, very well built
    • Good battery life

.... and not to forget the price! I bought mine online in Sweden at about 400 US$ compared to Panasonic Lumix LX5 at 530 US$ and Canon S95 at about 480 US$

Took some winter pictures a week ago at -14 C in the morning, here's a link to my gallery:

  11. Was recommended this lab in Pattaya by a pharmacist, he said they'll test your testosterone levels cheaper and faster than any of the bigger hospitals.

I never went there though, but might be considering going next trip for a testosterone check up.

    Anyone tried it?

It's in Nah-kleua north of Pattaya.

  12. I think you're lost, Harry! To get to Soi Buakhao from Walking Street try getting a bahtbus along Pattaya Tai from the traffic lights. Some may turn left into Buakhao but most will carry on towards Sukhumvit. If they carry on, ring the bell and walk up Buakhao or wait for another bahtbus going up Buakhao. Motorbike taxi might be the best option for you though.

True... there is a queue with bahtbuses starting from just after the traffic lights at the junction of Second Rd and South Pattaya Rd opposite the school and before the temple.

Just board one and they'll leave when full and go up St Pattaya Rd and turn left into Soi Bua Khao and continue to Pattaya Klang.

If you wanna be sure just ask the driver if they go to Soi Bua Khao!

That is a beautiful HDR-shot! Thanks for reminding me why I love to live in Thailand.

    Gott Nytt År !

    :lol::blink::lol:

    Thanks for your kind reply!

It's actually the software Photomatix Pro V4 that makes all the work!

Here's another one of the same motif, but in Black & White.

This is my first B/W ever, since I love the natural colours more, but the HDR gave it some special gloomy atmosphere that suits the cold and grey winter!
