  1. Letic Fitness, http://www.leticfitness.com/ 3rd floor market village. Expensive for what it is but the yoga, spin classes etc are all included in the price. Best of the shit bunch really for what you can get in HH.

The OP wanted a Gym that was not expensive, the gym indicated above is probably the most expensive in Hua Hin.

Tthe Gym on Soi 94 is about 6k/year, great equipment with aircon, over the railway line straight up for 100 m on the left.

thanks for the info, will check it out

  2. Same thing introduced in Phuket few months ago.

    Hefty fines, up to

    1.000 baht for rider

    1.000 baht for passenger

additional 1.000 baht for rider allowing passenger not wearing helmet

Can you state your source of this information for Hua Hin/Ch-Am ?

  3. A member mentioned a new gym that was 6000 baht a year on soi 95 or 96 ? Does anyone know which soi it is on ?

And I replied what the cost would be per month, and my post was deleted. Can a moderator explain what was in those 2 posts that could possibly warrant deleting ?

  4. Dogs seem ok in the day but in the evening they are nothing but <deleted> in Hua Hin, sit in the road trying to chase you in some sois. Bangkok they are 100x smarter, I've seen a dog use the fuc_king over pass at sukmvit lol ...

I've seen that too - many times, bkk dogs do use the over pass

  5. So just to be clear if you had read all of it, because I mean who really reads anything all the way to the end certainly not us mensa candidates(!), you wouldn't have written (copy/pasted) that which you did as it would have been incorrect yes?

Ahh I get it now. You weren't wrong just incorrect. Its all clear now.

    Jog on

    :P

Mensa ? You sound more like Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys...

  6. If it really would be a VISA you got in your passport it would be illegal.

Wrong, it is possible to receive a VISA stamp from Immigration, and it is not illegal. I have one in my passport from BKK Immigration, after that I have received 1 year extensions each year.

  7. In Thailand it seems to be generation after generation of dumb-ass soi dogs that lay in the road and wait to get hit. That is a shame, you see 3 legged dogs quite a bit.

I have even seen them laying on the railroad tracks sleeping.

When I lived in BKK there were soi dogs outside my apartment and after giving them some snacks here and there they accepted the 'farang' without barking. A stranger, good luck at night, they could take a piece of your leg if hungry. I remember muay thai fighters training on the soi next to us and going for a jog and coming around the corner to our soi and having to break into a full on Olympic 50 yard dash just to get out of there.

There were quite a few howls each night when 'Pee-ghosts' come by. The weirdest thing was one time when the alpha male dog of the pack ran right past me at full speed and chased what appeared to be a ghost down the soi biting at it like a savage.

Dogs have never scared me, and I have only been bit one time as a kid by a dog that was so small it chomped into my leg while I was running away. It wouldn't let go and so I had to stop running and punch it in the head 5 times before it let go of my calf.

Hua Hin has some very interesting monkeys on the way up to the Wat near my house. They are a trip, families of monkeys including grandpa who looks like he wants a beer chang while grandma monkey just wants lottery tickets.

ok, my worthless post end here i guess...

  8. I went into a small shop in BKK that was selling GNC type products, energy weight lifting type powder. The place was filled with boxes of the stuff he was mailing, he was swamped with business. This looked to be a wholesale business more than retail.

As these fat little xbox loving thai kids get older there will be even more of a demand for fitness products and gyms.

Interesting topic here, hope to see some positive input for the OP.

  9. Hi JohanBKK,

If you are still looking for a speedboat I've one to sale.

It's built in 2008 in Phuket in TaiMarin and it's stored out there at the moment.

    10.6m long, 2x 200hps engines speedboat.

Let me know if you are interested.

    Regards,

    Michael

I think he got his boat in June or July from the date of his post, so you guys need to race for pink slips, or whatever the color of the boat books are out here...

  10. I raced off to TOT to get my ADSL line application formalised (I had previously "booked a line"). They were very happy with the documentation and the technician is due tomorrow to measure up and install.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Why would you build a new house and then call the worst internet provider in Thailand ? Thats like buying a Ferrari and putting water in the gas tank.
