  1. I only blame the Thai Authorities for these. Their visa rules are too lax expecially when it concerns countries like the US, Britain, Australia and thats why we have so many of their trash here in Thailand. Also the Thais are not strict eneough about farangs setting up and running businesses either by themselves or their nominees. Esp in areas like Pattaya,Phuket, Hua Hin,Samui, Krabi.....you have lots of sinister faranfs running businesses which could be fronts for money laundering etc. Something needs to be done fast.

  2. Really wonder how it is possible when in actual reality the retail industry isvery monopolistic here with very little playing ground for foreign groups to come here and set up and even when they do come in, the thai chinese groups like Central, CP ,Major and Land and House would cause problems for them thru many means incluidng logistics etc. How can the govt allow a group like cebtral to control so mant retail groups (for your info, Central directly or indirectly controls besides Central Dept Store and Robinsons, Tops Supermarket Group, Big C Hypermarkets, Marks and Spencers, B2S, Powerbuy, Supersports, Homeworks, Office Depot, Mister Donut, Auntie Anne, etc and their CMG division controls a lot of brands thru unfiar practices and besides their other interests like Hotels, The Bangkok Post Publishing etc. They are also a very racial istic group and will never allow non-Chinese into their middle managements and executive ranks unless needed due to acqusition rules but will "milk them" amd throw them out later. These were also the same bastards that raised concerns and protests indirectly thru other groups to protests against expansion palns by groups like Testco Lotus and the plans against mum and pa shops. (though Lotus is owned by another Thai Chinese Group ie CP).

Another thing is that Thailand is also a dumping ground for products for most couture and even pret-a porter brands for instance whatever cannot be sold in the other shops in the region for brands like XXI Forever (Forever 21), MNG, Guess and even for brands like Prada etc are dumped here.

So how the hell can it ever become a shopping hub.? Not to include that prices here for brands are more expensive than Hong Konga nd even Singapore these days.

yeap, except for the lower end garbage found at Chatuchak, Union Mall and Pratunam, these are cheap but lower quality products made in thailand, China and Burma.

  3. Agree with the previous poster'scommenst that Thai Hiso/Elites and also Thai Celebrities are totally trash and classless. Having been in the local PR business its a joke that so call Thai Hisos expect to be paid just to attend events when they are suppose to be so rich and the amts that they ask fir is even pathetic ie bt 3k to 5k etc.

The Thai celebs are really garbage but unofrtunately the lower life forms who have no lives still adores and loves them and are interested in their lives and news. Most of these viewers are generally underachievers and trash themselves. So its a vicious cycle.

  4. There are many who claim to be raising funds for charity while are actually pocketing the proceeds for themselves. Have seen students with cardboard boxes collecting funds at malls and then later see them eating as a group at Sizzlers, etc!!!!!!! If fact a law should be passed that any entity that is collecting funds for a charity should have a permit first and follwed by statements of funds raised and expenses incurred that is made known to the public either online or via publications etc.

Of course when it comes to politicians, tv channels and celebrities collecting funds......I give up......these are the biggest crooks!

  5. This country is beyong salvation. Good Spirits! Get real.......most big corporations were donating cash and goods because they were promised 150% tax rebates. (please refer to all ealier govt announcemenst and appeals for help.) and then many thais, yes were volunteering their services and donating goods. (according to their distorted versions of buddhism) by doing such acts of tamboon, they get their sins cleansed off....so you get people who cheat millions donating a few thousand baht of goods or small scale sinners offerring smaller amts of foods, in hope to eradicate all their sins and gain merit. Most of the volunteers at the centres were enjoying free meals and goodies. Channel Three raised a lot of money from public donations that went into paying their celebrity actors to make appearances, their transportation costs and hotel accomodations and also for the cost of production of their channel 3 relief bags that had their logos on it. Once produccer at a particular segment at Channel three was boasting how the donatione was totally subsidising his segment!

As for overcharging, there was and still there is not any bottled water at places like 7-11, tops, big c etc but outside of Bic C, etc , the bottlers of NamThip are supplying smaller vendors stocks who are then overcharging the consumers. Make a complain and they challenge you to call the police!

Was watching on TV , how some of these poeple have no sense of self respect, when their communities are flooded and they know because of the officals in charge, they will still wai when these officials come to see them or even give them a pathetic relief bag. These people will sell their mothers for a Bt 100!

Now for the most interesting part to all you foreign TV posters and readers. Got a few distrubing news that a few foreigners were turned away form some of the evacuation centres and in certain cases when relief packages were given out, foreigners were not allowed. (I am not talking about the migrant workers from Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia....who off course the thais deprived them of anything reliefs and foods) but actual farands and a few malaysian chinese. Beer Chang and Singha started small centres selling bottkled water at normal prices and proof of thai identity was needed before you can buy the water. <deleted>! Why aren't the embassies doing anything about this discrimination! Foreigners should avoid buying beer chang and singha beer and also establishments that stock them.

Yet we have a lot of foreign aid coming in!

I simply give up. The locals deserve what they get. This country s beyong salvation!

  6. Dear All, please be careful as there is already an outbreak of the Flu Virus called hMPV. This was reported at TAN Newsnetwork and verified by numerous friends of mine at the various centres and also at sources at the Ministry Of Public Health. Those with young kids, elderly relatives and who are sick are to be careful.

This outbreak was already confirmed two days ago by TAN News and also Ministry of Public health but there is nothing in the main media.

  7. From the comments of some of the posters, it seems that the only referral centres for all tourists are a)Patpong at Silom and B) Nana at Sukhumvit! I really wonder what trash TAT is attracting to this country and also the quality of certain expats here. I really hope that the whores and also the clients at these trashy areas all simply drown! Thailand really needs a good cleansing.

(PS: I am not a Christian!)

  8. Hi, Urgently Need help. I had a silicone implant done in Sydney about 20 years ago and then about a year ago as a result of misuse of HGH (Human Growth Hormone), a swelling appearedd on my nose and subsequently when down but the tissues at the tip of my nose is simply dying off and exposing my inplant. I need a good surgeon who can not only remove the inplant but also repair the damaged tip of my nose. Please help as I am feeling almost suicidal now.

  9. Why is this article here? Why is nation covering this guy. An Ex-democrat MP,an ex-firm devotee of the cult of Sai Baba, a person who messed up and made losses for the Phayathai Hospital Grp, a sister who thinks that she is an almighty HIso with lots of connections and is ever so corrupted not mentioning their whole family degree of corruption, its a disgrace that opinions of such trash are allowed.

  10. Hi, My Dad has come to stay with me at my home near Soi Ari and he is very sensitive abt his drinking water as he is unwell. Anyone knows where I can buy them tonight or tomorrow morning? Been to most of the store like Big C and Tops nearby incluidng Villa and there is none around. Please help to tell me where I can buy some urgently. Thanks.

  11. Stay away from Indain Tailors...they are cheats and trash. All their fabric stocks are fake ie they will claim some are imported garbadine, wool etc ...all are made in thailand with fake side prints. They also do not make the clothes themselves but sned them to sweatshops run sometimes by Thais but mostly by burmese workers who are exploited. They best tailors are the Chinese, they sew it themselves. One that i know of and have used is Perry's Tailors at Silom , near Noodi Restaurant (Soi 2/1). Those that have no clue about fabrics, cuts and stictchings, mostly use the Indain Tailors.

  12. Hi, Does anybody know where in Bangkok I can find a small portable power generators to power up a fridge, tv, comp and maybe aircon in case of a power failure? Saw many online in the US that can be use in outdoor cmaping trips but can I buy something like that in Bangkok? And Where and how much if possible. Would appreciate any help. Preparing for the coming floods as my place always have blcakouts whenever it rains heavily or floods. Thanks.

  13. Is Thailand a colony of Britain, or France or US or Germany? Why the hell did the embassies concerned make such a fuss and why the hell did the owners of scholl have to apologise. This is a shame for all Thais and something needs to be done. This is Thailand and this is Asia, if the Western expats do not like anything we do...thsy can just leave and actually the foreign teachers and parents at the school that made such a fuss should have been told to do just that. This is really so sad that Thais have to dance to the whims and fancies of the West.

  14. Is this a joke or what? Why are they so concerned about moral values in youngsters when the adults of this country have no a single cell of morality in them. Look at the Politicains, The Hi-Sos, the Celebrity sluts, etc.....its a joke.....thai youngsters that thought that its ok to cheat, like or steal or even sell ur bodies as long as you have money and material wealth. Just stroll around places like the bridge near Saphan Phut, or the parks near Central Lardphrao, or drive down pass "Wang Sala Rom" where you can see kids as young as 10 selling their bodies and the police not doing anything and the patrons are all thai adults!

I know of HiSos who cheat like crazy.....but always get away just because of their names but unfortunately the stupid majority of their population envies these lifestyles and tales.

This country is beyong salvation but then again, I do not care....just take advantage of the loopholes in the system and make ur bucks here and screw the locals!

  15. The British Club is full of old "farts" expats who think that they own Thailand and have a lot of pwerfull clout and they always stick in groups and do not like any new members. Basically its just a waste of time , you will never benefit anything from being a member there and most of them are really clowns. The same goes for the Heritage Club at Pacific Place and some of the Chambers of Commerce. There are other more interesting private clubs to join such as the Bangkok Club and also a new Millionaires Club set up at Central World Offices and run by the Kimmels.

  16. What big corporations and smes should do is to trim their labour forces and only keep the more skilled and multi-taskers with the right attitude. They should rettrench out all the Isaan workers since its most of them that supported the red shirts and also if possible , they should move out to neighbouring countries so that the red government can take care of them. Middle-Class and Upper Class thais should also finds ways to avoid paying taxes and also to use the services of companies that are linked to the red shirts as all their contributions will only go to the govt pockets to support the garbage that supported them in the first place.

  17. I cannot understand, on one hand u see that the UN and other AID Agencies are requesting for govts, organisations, companies and individuals to donate funds to help eradicate poverty and famines in Somalia and yet these Islamic Somalians cause problems everywhere from being pirates on the seas to terrorists elsewhere. I say simply drop a nuclear bomb on that country and solve everyones problems including the Somalians.

  18. Please be careful. Most lawyers will always tell you to go thru the civil courts way but if you have a good lawyer with the necessary police and prosecutor and court connections, almost everything can be made into a criminal case and until the case is fought in the courts and judgement made, you can use this as a manner to get the parties who cheated you to cough up the monies to you. The lawyer will be able to get either the police to arrest them when the case is lodged and with a bit of money, bail can be denied esp if they are a foreigner. And while they are sufferring in prison, you can always pay the rpison guards a bit of moneyto make their lives miserable so that they rather pay up the money and the case dropped. I have done this at least 3 times involving unscruplous foreigners and it worked. Civil cases will lead you no where. Most lawayers will always calim that the case cannot be made criminal but a good lawyer can find the way. PM me if you need more details or help for free.Saty away from so called International Lawa Firms or those with British staff, etc......
