  1. Today, in the Vladivostok area, a Russian main gas pipeline exploded, and a water pipeline was also destroyed. These facilities supplied the 155th Brigade of the Russian army, RBC-Ukraine reports, referring to sources in Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.

In particular, in the Russian Far East, as a result of an explosion and subsequent fire, branches of the Vladivostok main gas pipeline running along the coast of the Sea of Japan were destroyed.

According to sources in Ukrainian Intelligence, the gas pipeline supplies gas to a number of Russian military facilities located along the coast of the Sea of Japan.

  2. The US government is pouring millions of dollars into a deadly militarised initiative to distribute aid in Gaza without internal oversight, The Observer has found.

In the almost six weeks since a private aid operation called the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) launched, the opaque effort to replace UN operations in Gaza, rather than work alongside them, has been at the centre of controversy.

Israeli soldiers and armed American contractors have been accused of shooting at crowds of starving people surging towards their distribution centres.

  3. Israel has continued to launch waves of airstrikes in Gaza, hours after Hamas said it was ready to start talks “immediately” on a US-sponsored proposal for a 60-day ceasefire.

The announcement by the militant Islamist organisation increased hopes that a deal may be done within days to pause the killing in Gaza and possibly end the near 21-month conflict.

Saturday was relatively “calmer” after days of intense bombardment, aid officials and residents in Gaza said, although 24 Palestinians were killed, including 10 people seeking humanitarian aid, according to hospital officials.

Apparently I'm a very slight right leaning liberal, since believing in free market, and less social programs for employable people.

  5. On June 26th, Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) reported that its agents successfully targeted and attacked a key Russian air defense system stationed in occupied Crimea.

According to the report, drone operatives from its Ghosts special unit (also known as the Prymary elite unit) were responsible for the attack—they hit a key S-400 Triumf.

According to Business Insider, the S-400 Triumf is “considered one of the world's most advanced air-defense systems”. The S-400 is the best system that Russia currently fields in its war against Ukraine as well.

  6. Ukraine said it struck a Russian airbase on Saturday, while Russia continued to pound Ukraine with hundreds of drones overnight.

Ukraine’s military General Staff said Saturday that Ukrainian forces had struck the Borisoglebsk airbase in Russia’s Voronezh region, describing it as the “home base” of Russia’s Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM fighter jets.

Writing on Facebook, the General Staff said it hit a depot containing glide bombs, a training aircraft and “possibly other aircraft."

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wrote Friday about how H.R. 1 will effectively "kneecap America’s renewable energy industry" and give China a monopoly on the renewable energy industry for decades.

One of the major components of the law is the stripping of billions of dollars in subsidies and tax credits for solar, battery and wind energy.

This comes at the same time China is rapidly restructuring its energy grid to include larger portions of electricity from renewable sources.

  8. Doctors in Gaza have warned that hundreds of babies are at risk of death amid a critical shortage of baby milk, as Israel continues to restrict the humanitarian aid that can enter the beleaguered strip.

Dr Ahmad al-Farra, the head of paediatrics at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis, said his ward had only about a week’s worth of infant formula remaining.

“I can’t begin to describe how bad things are. Right now, we have enough formula for about one week. But we also have infants outside the hospital without any access to milk. It’s catastrophic,” al-Farra told the Guardian over the phone.

  9. Roadmap for how to proceed:

First, agree to a ceasefire and bring the hostages home as quickly as possible. If it must be done in the framework of a 60-day lull, then negotiate in good faith to actually end the war, unlike what occurred in February.

Second, accept in principle that the Palestinian Authority is the only “brand” available to replace Hamas.

After the success in Iran, here’s how to end the Gaza war strategically

On the beaches of Khan Younis, families seek brief relief in the water, while parents fear the spread of illness due to limited access to clean supplies.

With no electricity and water supplies running low, residents say the conditions are becoming unbearable.

Aid agencies warn that collapsing water infrastructure, fuel shortages, and unsanitary conditions could trigger a wave of disease across already strained communities.

  11. TEL AVIV/CAIRO (Reuters) -At least 15 Palestinians were killed overnight in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, according to local health officials, as U.S. President Donald Trump said he expected Hamas to respond to his "final proposal" for a ceasefire in Gaza in the next 24 hours.

Health officials at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, said the Israeli military had carried out an airstrike on a tent encampment west of the city around 2 a.m., killing 15 Palestinians displaced by nearly two years of war.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Well he's deporting plenty of illegals he's pretty much disabled Iran the Us economy is doing ok , he's saved millions with his DOGE scheme, etc etc etc  and his popularity increases by the day . just accept it

Don't micro analyse everything he says, he is not a career politician reading from a manicured script  he is a businessman he operates a bit differently than the others but rest assured he is streets ahead of any opposition and will get results

Most importantly  of all , never forget what the alternative could have been

DOGE saved almost nothing, deportations are nowhere near what he forecast (3,000 a day) the US economy?  Too early to say.

Not a day goes by without some outraged member on here attacking Trump    You all should just get a life

It's because he's so full of horse manure and then refuses to admit it.

Example: ' I will stop the Ukraine war within 24 hours of taking office.'

Six months later Putin still ignores him.

But rather than admitting defeat, he blames Biden for Russia invading Ukraine.

That's irrelevant, he said he would stop the war

Come on Trump, admit you talk nonsense, be a man, take personal responsibility for the nonsense you spout.

  14. Palestinians in Sinjil say their town has become a “big prison” as Israeli forces surround it with fencing and roadblocks.

Sinjil, a Palestinian town of 8,000, now has just one guarded entrance. Israeli forces sealed the rest with metal fencing and roadblocks, citing security concerns.

  15. Hundreds of Gazan civilians have been killed while seeking aid, including from sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a US- and Israel-backed private entity that rights groups say lacks the expertise to distribute aid in accordance with international law.

US and Israeli documents reveal a complex web of military veterans, former intelligence officials and evangelical Christians behind the new aid group which is sidelining the UN and its partners in Gaza.

Gaza's health ministry reported last week that at least 549 Palestinians had been killed, and 4,066 injured, while seeking aid since the introduction of a controversial US-backed distribution system on May 27.

I don't like her much and think she is too young for her position but the "uncle" thing is just a beat up. It is just polite on Thai culture to call an older person 'Loong' or 'Na' both meaning uncle. It would have been rude of her to call him something else.

No, the Prime Minister of one country should not use the familiar tone of 'Uncle 'with another government's senior figure, the father of the current PM. It betrays a familiarity and a junior position in the relationship, almost as bad as Rutte calling Trump, 'daddy'!

  17. Dubai: A United Nations human rights expert has called for sanctions, an arms embargo on Israel, and urgent corporate accountability over what she describes as the “profiteering from genocide” during Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, released the report titled From Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide.

In it, she highlights how dozens of corporations—from defense contractors to construction and agricultural firms — are entangled in the economic machinery sustaining Israel’s assault on Gaza and the West Bank.

Hamas & Hezbollah are fascist, death worshipping cults. We need to see their leaders and their families all eliminated; along with the rest of Gaza.

And the Generation Z anti Semites should all have their western privileges revoked and be forced to watch non stop the films that were taken when the concentration camps were opened up. Then, and only then will they understand the meaning of the term genocide.

And there you are yourself proposing genocide: ' We need to see their leaders and their families all eliminated; along with the rest of Gaza'.

  19. The director of Gaza's Indonesian Hospital has been killed in an Israeli air strike on his home in Gaza City along with several family members, the Hamas-run health ministry has said.

The ministry said Dr Marwan Sultan had a long career in medicine, and condemned "this heinous crime against our medical cadres".

The Israeli military said it had struck a "key terrorist" from Hamas in the Gaza City area and that claims "uninvolved civilians" were harmed as a result of the strike were being reviewed.

  20. For Rida Abu Hadayed, summer adds a new layer of misery to a daily struggle to survive in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.

With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), daybreak begins with the cries of Hadayed’s seven children sweltering inside the displaced family’s cramped nylon tent. Outside, the humidity is unbearable.

The only way the 32-year-old mother can offer her children relief is by fanning them with a tray or bits of paper — whatever she can find. If she has water, she pours it over them, but that is an increasingly scarce resource.

On days when GHF conducted two operations, health officials reported an average of 48 deaths and 189 injuries, whilst on days of 5 or 6 distributions  authorities reported almost as many as three times the number of casualties.

30% of aid distributions have ended in violence.
