  1. I too once opened a bank acct. using a hotel's address, though of course, I did not state it was a hotel. Nor did I say that the phone number which I gave them was also the hotel's. If one bank won't open an acct for you, try others.

Yep, I did that too, but back in 1991. No Problem then and I can't see why it would be one nowadays, as many hotels and guesthouses

    offer long term rentals.

  2. The centre of gastronomic delight is Britain! The Thais here can't cook Thai food like in England; the Chinese food here is not a patch on the stuff you can eat in UK. The same is true of Indian curries - I lived near Burnley/Bradford/Manchester and can't get proper stuff in Pattaya.

    Heaven Is Where:
    The French are the chefs
    The Italians are the lovers
    The British are the police
    The Germans are the mechanics
And the Swiss make everything run on time

  3. I agree! It's great. They offer a sub/sandwich for 90 baht that I really love... I was there yesterday too.

What's in a Vietnamese sub sandwich?

The enclosed photo shows the classic Banh Mi sandwich. Every place has their own version. The place in C.M. mentioned above uses a good selection of veggies and chili, really tender grilled pork, pate, and some really tasty sauces. Their bread is the best French bread I've had in C.M. It's crispy outside and soft inside.

They have very nice versions of these sandwiches in Laos also.

    Looks very delicious.
