  1. This is way off topic as usual. The initial question was probably misunderstood.

The OP is not about how much you pay per sqm/month or year (common fee), but what does the management company charge for their service per month (excluding water, electricity, security, insurance, etc.).

Most of you do maybe not know, as you've never checked.

Anyways, the ones of you who do know, please share.

  2. I have 2 questions to all condo owners here in Chiang Mai, regarding the cost of the property management.

    1. How much is the monthly management cost in your condo, for the manager, the housekeeper (cleaner), general maintenance

(look after the swimming pool, change light bulps, etc.) and garden care ?

In my condo ( 6 floors and 78 units), we pay 30K/month for the above service.

    2. Are you happy with your management ? ... if so, recommendations are appreciated.

    Thanks for your input.

  3. How do you think those mountains in the background originated, they weren't there 50 years ago. Seriously though, im guessing somewhere upstream of the towns water supply

    Let's hope not.

  4. I remember when another speed boat sank in rough seas off Koh Tao some years ago. Back the tough action was also promised with little, if any, impact on the boating business.

The main reason for these kind of accidents is, that most of the customers book the trips a few days in advance and nobody knows how the weather on the day of the trip will be.

As the boat operators have to plan 1 day in advance in order to arrange for the number of boats, staff, food & drinks, etc. it is very unlikely that they call a trip off because of rough water. They don't care about a comfortable ride and passenger safety, but only for the money.

  5. If for sports as indicated why not try the Sportsworld at KSK or Promenada.(yes I know they are malls but have cheaper rent than Festival and also have benefit of bulk purchasing)

Yes they can be expensive but they also seem to have very good brands being discounted as well, as well as some of the cheaper asian/local brands.

Good range and sizes and fit for purpose, sure they would have something to satisfy.

Thanks, but I need ordinary/casual shoes, not sports shoes.

  6. hmmm. well i don't know why you are opposed to the malls. i always buy dress and casual shoes at Central and have had very good luck. there is a Florsheim in MAYA which has some VERY nice dress shoes. there is another place in the Night Bazaar and a branch in KSK close to Bangkok Bank that has an excellent selection of good quality leather shoes. i have one pair that i have owned for about 5 years which is still in good shape and very comfortable. another good chain of which the name escapes me too...has a branch in Big C Super Highwy on the 2nd Floor right near the pharmacy. i think the logo is a panda bear or something. about 4-5K per pair and they were offering a 2 for 1. i own those too and they are very comfortable. in Bangkok there is Bally.... so many choices but many/most are in malls.

I know, but I don't like those mall, plus rents are expensive in there and so are the prices. I just prefer an ordinary shoe retailer.
