About time ... a very 'slow' work in progress.

Lot's of Thais waiting for E-trucks to hit the market here for purchase.  Will be a major game changer when all ready to replace or upgrade their next truck.

Toyota, always a bit behind the times, as Isuzu maybe, hopefully already in production and will be selling BEV trucks, at the next Bangkok auto show.

OMG!  First prize in the ugly truck competition!

i love these 2 scenarios as well.

1 - good morning passengers we will start boarding flight f2....they can't even finish announcing it and the majority of people stand up and line up.

2 - plane lands the wheels stop and instantly most stand up grab their bag and literally try to get up the rows to get out. ahhh the door isn't even connected yet never mind open.

Try flying on the internal Chinese airlines.  On landing, as soon as the wheels touch the runway the passengers are up and out of their seats, grabbing their stuff from the overhead lockers.  Once at the gate they all make a dash for the toilets.  I was told by a 'reputable' authority that they are reluctant to use the on-board toilets as there is a dragon hiding in there.  Hence, on landing they are all bursting to go to the loo.  Quite funny to see but not at all safe.  The airline staff seem not to give a hoot.

Think about upgrading to one with an inverter.

    More economical.

if you want to keep the old one, just call the Mitsubishi service people in your area but they will probably quote a high price for parts and hope to sell you a new one.

Just 'retired' our Mitsubishi Prezio after about 15 years.  Door seals were shot and the carcass was starting to rust out in its nether regions.  Not worth fixing so replaced with a TCL four-door inverter.  I hope that this wasn't a mistake, being a Chinese make, but TCL seem to have a reasonable reputation.  Cost was around 12000 Baht but we got it a bit cheap through a contact in the hotel trade.  Seems fine so far but time will tell.

My ears have been hurting the last few days, possibly because of the flight I just took and build up of wax

I walked past a massage place yesterday offering ear candling

It appears they put a hot 🔥 candle in your ear and it apparently melts the ear wax

I was tempted but decided not to

Are the barbers near Day Night area still offering ear cleaning?

I don't really want to go to Dr Oliver,I guess he would just offer medicine

I think I need them cleaned professionally ,any ear cleaning clinics ?

Dr. Oliver's nurses will use H2O2 and warm water to irrigate your ears and suck out the wax.  I was there a few months ago as I was having problems with both ears.  An amazing amount of cr*p came out and my hearing was restored to normal.  I forget what the cost was but it wasn't at all expensive.  No need for an appointment and wasn't at all busy when I was there.

Contact the Chinese government they will refund you. TikTok is owned by a Chinese company.

    Yes, very funny!

TTB refunded the money and gave me a new card.  Just best to not enable a card for online purchase until you actually make the purchase and then disable it again.

There is no field in the TM47 to put the "updated permission to stay". Take a look at the attached blank TM47. The only date it asks for is "entered Thailand on" .. that would be the arrival date. So how can it be done "when submitting the 90 day report"??

( I also have had my online 90 day check in rejected) I have a feeling the first check in needs to be done in person after the first 1 year permission to stay on a Non-O imm visa. I've tried twice online and been rejected after tweaking the address etc.. I may just need to go to CW yet another time...

    Form-TM-47 (1).pdf 371.74 kB · 0 downloads

When logging onto the system you have to fill in your passport number and nationality.  You will also see a field 'Date Visa Expire'.  Click the magnifying glass and all required fields are filled in for you.  At this stage, if your 'Date Visa Expire' has indeed expired update it.  This change will be reflected in the TM47.

This info applies to the desktop version of the Immigration app.  I don't know if the mobile version is the same as I have never used it.

    I suffered two rejections.

I returned to Thailand on 30th December and reported online  yesterday for a due date of 28th March.

My extension of stay runs to 19th June.

My extension runs until 20 July so I would not, at the moment, envisage any problem with the 90-day period extending beyond this date, not that this should be a problem with your application anyway.  Maybe I'll have a problem with my next report as this is due on 12 June and this clearly does not allow 90 days before my permission expires.

I recall one occasion where my report was rejected at the submission stage because I had just done an extension of stay and had not updated my TM47.  I edited this online and all was then OK.

He obtained a 12 month extension to his permission of stay (not a new Visa)

That has nothing to do with 90 day reporting.

If he as just obtained a new extension of stay then he needs to update his TM47 to show the updated 'permission to stay' date.  This can be done online when submitting the 90-day report.

At least, that has been my experience.

If you are located on the Dark Side you might try <http://www.visakhaotalo.com/en/Home/Index> and talk to Thanita.

I have used them for a few years with no problems.

  10. As per the bank's response:

'Customers can also choose to enable or disable online usage functions through the ttb touch app by going to Settings >> Debit Card Management >> Set Spending Limits and Card Usage >> Authorization >> Select Disable Online Purchase Authorization.'

Online purchase authorization should only be enabled when about to make an online purchase and should then be immediately disabled again.  I had this exact problem with my TTB debit card, some time ago.  Someone had managed to get hold of my card number and security code and had made an unauthorized purchase for 32 Baht.  I still have no idea how this happened but TTB advise me whenever my account is accessed so I was able to immediately block the card.  They issued me with a new card and refunded the 32 Baht.

The new card is only enabled for online purchases when I actually use it for that purpose.

One time I had a problem with them because my signature changed when getting a new bank book.

Interestingly a recent experience where my signature changed again, not a word from them.

Maybe after a certain age they just give up, ha ha.

As I don't write checks and haven't signed a contract for years, my signature varies wildly pretty much every time I do it.

I can relate to the signature problem.  I had some difficulty with TTB, a while ago, when getting a new pass book, because my signature had changed.  In my case I have quite serious arthritis and I find it tricky to even hold a pen, let alone make reproducible signatures.  Hilariously, they let me continue trying until I managed to get a match with the signature that they had on file that they were satisfied with.

Somewhere on your pass book there will be an image of your signature that is only visible under UV light.  A 'black light' pen will reveal it - and you can then practice until you can reproduce it satisfactorily.

They used to be known as 3 1/2 inch "stiffies".

The ones before were known as 5 1/4 "floppies"

    Before them were the cassettes.

    Before them I don't remember,

I do remember floppies and stiffies in my life though.

Not to forget the 8 inch floppy, with a massive 80kB of storage.

The problem will be receiving the voting form from your home constituency and then getting it back to them in time to count.  A proxy would get round that, but do you trust your proxy to vote the way you want?

Yes, the snail mail method of sending out voting papers can be a considerable problem.  I received my Brexit voting paper just one day before the deadline - not long enough to return it, even by EMS.

A proxy would work - if you have one that you can trust.
