Why do I sense that Thailand will get worse with the COVID-19 situation? Hope I am wrong. I don’t think they are ready.

They don’t want to lift the curfew because the government wants to use the emergency laws to crackdown the students and protesters.

I don't think Xi will allow Chinese people to go out of China this year or next year. Also, many Western tourists are in a delay mode. They certainly do not want to visit a country that still has curfew.
-
A few tourists may go Thailand, but a lot will not. The curfew has not been lifted.

55K is doable and adjustable depending on your needs. Your spending habit will not be the same as when you're on vacation. You can live within your mean. Splurge some and save some.

Thailand is not attractive like before. There may be some expats interested though.

I don't trust this government. They are not consistence and has no backup plans. They make up things as situation occurs and can make the tourists suffer on their trip.

It's only a monkey play.

All the sudden, this song rang into my head "All I Have to do is Dream".

What is the budget for these pills?

It's a personal choice. Good for him if he likes living in Thailand. One American renounce their citizenship is a news in Thailand versus thousands of Thais filed for US citizenship is a no news in US.

It would be very rare incidents to host a wedding in different country. It is too inconvenient for the guests.

Not that I support illegal activity, the targeting of the Shin family and red shirt leaders are continuous.

This Junta government is turning more and more sour. People will not tolerate it anymore.

It is time for him to hold the election. If he did a good job like he claimed, people will vote for him back. If not, time for him to leave. 4 years is long enough.

His explanation is 'I have the power and you don't.' Not so hard to understand.

The governments in another countries are not blind to not know the situation in Thailand. If they really believe she is a felon, they would return her tl Thailand already.
-
The more excuses they give, the more ugly and untrustworthy they are.
-
They got what they asked for. Tough luck now. The longer the junta is in power, the more the people will have any saying.
-
I remember so clearly that he put the blame on previous government. He has been in power long enough. What is his excuse now?
-
The Chinese is smart. Get everything settled before the Thai backs out of the deal.

She did not receive a fair trial. The Junta government overpowered the judicial system. I absolutely believe she deserves the asylum.
Of course, many countries would not grant her the asylum due to business interest between the countries.
-
It would not change a thing even if the Shin is not in politic. Thai politic is very dirty. They can it right to wrong depending on whoever is in power and what side they favor.
-
The junta government leaves her with two choices only. One is go to jail. It's a no-win judicial battle. Second is making her a criminal in everyone's eyes and confiscates her assets. Of course, it would not tarnish their image and made them like thugs who picked on a lady.

I expect this type of situation already. It's a bet that the tourist is taking. If you hit the jackpot, your vacation is ruined including extra bills.
