Wow, that's a great idea to drive away tourists. I would have never thought of it.

In the auditing process, the person who have access to the checks cannot do the bank reconciliation work. It seems like this woman has full control of the process. That's why she was able to forge the checks for over 4 years. Talk about bad business practice.

The fun has not started yet. Let's wait and see if my prediction is correct.

Why are the news nowadays full of bs?

I hope they don't capture and jail the wrong person due to their desperation to solve the case.

I guess it's time to life the Marshall Law. Who dare go against the junta right now when everything is under their control?

No one can assure the safety. The tourists have to look after themselves and not step on anyone's toes.

There must be a lot of freebies to convince the organizer to set up the event in Thailand. It's another form of press promotion.

Just increase the price for farangs only by 100%. Some locals may find it expensive if the price increase is too much.

It feels strange to read and interpret the news opposite from what they are reporting. If they say 'no impact to inflation', it means that there will be a domino effect to other businesses. If their costs go up, the prices will not remain the same.

15 years from now? It's almost like telling the readers that they're not doing anything as of this moment.

I am glad that this news can make me laugh. LOL

Even if the poll shows the opposite results, they would not dare reveal it to the public. Anything about the military government has to be good, great or best only.

Once the new tax is implemented, there will soon be more new taxes imposed on the citizens. What is the purpose of these new taxes? The government needs to learn to cut expenses and control the budget properly. I don't blame the rich. No one likes to pay taxes.

Why do they even bother to have the NLA nominate the prime minister? Is it just for a show?
-
Did you hear them saying, "Y'all can kiss my butt. I'm in control now."?

When I hear the word 'taxes', I start to shrivel. Let the game begin.

Hmmmm, the Muslims were not accepted all this time?

If it makes them feel better, they can anti-American as much as they want. I am sure the Americans will not lose sleep over it.

of course it's going to have serious effects on Thailand re. trade...that's why a list made up by the US has serious repercussions.
As the many posters here have said Thailand needs to know it's place in the world, that Thailand deserves it & hope there will be pain on the economy & the US & it's coalition will do it.
It's ok that the US is I believe the 3rd in the world for destinations for human trafficking, that they are tier 1 & no human trafficking problem or corruption connected there.
Or countries like Vietnam,Cambodia,Ivory Coast& others are only tier 2.
Obviously there is no connection of putting pressure on Thailand..
Thailand deserves it since they have the resources to deal with the problem...
not only that but there are brothels in Thailand...where women sell sex for money..
That would never happen in the West.
There is absolutely no way the US is #3 in the world for human trafficking. If you have a real source, please post it. Otherwise please don't make-up crap just to try and support your lame argument.
http://www.unodc.org/documents/human-trafficking/HT-globalpatterns-en.pdf
North America is reported almost exclusively as a destination region and victims are reported to come from all main origin regions. The Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia, Latin America and theCaribbean are more frequently reported origin regions of victims trafficked to North America.
In the U.S., human trafficking tends to occur around international travel-hubs with large immigrant populations, notably California and Texas. The U.S. Justice Department estimates that 17,500 people are trafficked into the country every year, but the true figure could be higher, because of the large numbers of undocumented immigrants. Those being trafficked include young children, teenagers, men and women and can be domestic citizens or foreign nationals. The highest destination countries are Belgium, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Thailand, Turkey, USA.It is true that there are human trafficking in the US. These illegal immigrants including Thais work in the US without proper documents. At least they are not treated like slaves. Some states even provide free schooling and college grants and scholarships to their children. If the employers were caught, their businesses can be closed and face severe fines. The humanity is at a different level so don't compare US with Thailand.

Don't go bother them. Thailand has minimal impact only since EU and US are just small importers.

Damn! It must be hard for them to admit that the victim is not known on this case. They are like dogs sniffing on everyone's hands.
