Ok. Educate yourself I would say. Start here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/709899-thailands-corruption-perception-index-cpi-worsens/Wow. You can measure corruptions? How do they conduct the survey? Who do they do the survey with? The officials who took the bribes are stupid enough to disclose the truth? How do they know how many corruptions there are? Amazing Thailand. It amazes me what they can do there.
That's a very enlightening article. (hahaha) I learn so much from it. When I see the word 'perception', I cannot help myself, but smile.

I encourage the general to stay in power forever, so there will have no corruptions in Thailand. Thailand will do just fine on her own. Bottom line, don't bother the US and EU and leave them feeling guilty with their actions.

While Thailand is having problems with EU and US, I think it's a good time for its competitors like Vietnam and other countries to step up and take over the markets there.
Good idea.... as there is a democratic government & no human trafficking problems in Vietnam.
But in reality...it comes down to as a buyer from the west..are you going to buy from a country that has a poor government or because you can get goods cheaper.
They will buy from a country that has less complications with the export products. Cheaper price is good, but not when the buyers have to go through all the hoops to get the products in the country.

Everything, pib! What does this article have to do with human trafficking and military coups in Thailand which I think most people consider very, very bad things.
You see, thailand was called out on something they're good at (which is inherently dirty) - and with that the thai people (not all, though) feel ashamed and angry. So what else to do other than write an article which channels a tantrum?
She is probably in her lair writing an exciting part two to this 'article'.Of course - our military coup makes 95% of Thai people happy your democracy and obama make 54% of Americans miserable - who should feel ashamed and angry - stop being holier than thou it already cost you Vietnam!!
95% of Thai people happy? Where do you get your facts from? I hope it's not from the less than 1500 people survey. You're not smoking dopes or anything before you write this, right?

Hahahaha... From The Nation, the retailers are happy. From Bangkokpost, the retailers are asking for help from NCPO. They want the tourists return and shop there.

Why is she pissed off with the US? The US and EU have made their point very clear that they do not want to deal with the military officials. Every country has their choice. The junta can take this opportunity to make the reforms and plan the election as they stated in the given time. If they want to be in power forever, that's fine with them.

They made it seem like they don't care, but then they go beg the US for mercy.

Thailand is the hub of all hubs. When I see the word 'hub' anywhere, I will think of Thailand as the successor.

Happy Birthday Yingluck! Don't forget to pass your merits on to some buckseedas in this forum. Let the light of hope shine on them so they can view the world more positively this lifetime. Satu!

If they are not comfortable, they have the right to resign. Why should they tolerate it?

In the limelight, everything the junta has done seems positive. The true color does not appear in a short period of time because things suppose to get better after the coup. As long as humans still have greed, corruptions will never go away. This includes the junta themselves.

This is why Thailand is still a mess. Monkeys see monkeys do. If anyone is found guilty, he/she should be prosecuted according to the laws.

If Suthep does not want to spend time in jail, he has an option to go live with Thaksin. The laws need to be enforced regardless of colors. If the junta claimed being neutral, they need to prosecute him according to the laws. The court trial should not wait for anyone because he is not above the laws.

There are many poor citizens who are in dire need of help. The budget was spent on free movie, free soccer on television, and now free trips for the journalists. This type of happiness seems so short and less beneficial. I understand that they try to rely on these journalists to put out good words about Thailand through their medias. Still, I do not foresee the tourists coming back this year.

They had the inflation under control. The consumers should not notice the price change. It's a just figment of your imagination that you see the higher prices. Bad consumers! LOL

I would not be surprised to see on tomorrow's news that tourism in Thailand has returned to normalcy.

The junta has stepped on many toes.
Not nearly enough, as yet. This is just the beginning. Mark the months ahead. Thailand will be the new hub of 'exposure'.
exposure or explosion?

These people have to thank the junta for the extra money to increase on the soccer bets.

The main problem is the students do not have a chance to use the language. They are afraid to speak and embarrass themselves. I have a Vietnamese friend who is good with chatting in English. His speaking and listening skills were poor. I made him read the news out loud and corrected his pronunciation along with it. It took us a while. Once he gained his confidence, he was able to interact with other people.

The Junta has done countless moves. Where's the Supreme Court? LOL Wait until the election. It will be back to square one.
