  1. My Trim is turned on.

Still confused about AHCI. (but it probably not so important).

You can turn it on with a registry edit as long as you're careful. That does of course assume that your hardware supports it.

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=313676

Yes, I did the changes in the registry already. The problem is that I can't find AHCI in the BIOS. Maybe I don't know where to look.

BTW, I have SIW (System Information for Windows) 2015 Pro - can it help to find it?

  2. Either way would work. But since you already have the SSD, do it now so you can take full advantage of the SSD now versus waiting for Win 10 and any possible other surprises it may hold a couple months down the road. Plus by doing it now, when Win 10 installs itself it takes a look at the type of drive install...a HDD or SDD...and makes some minor adjustments and driver selection to it Win 10 settings for best operation...Win 8.1 and Win 7 does the same....but it would basically do the same right after cloning also.

So, do in now to take full advantage of your SSD "now" and then let Win 10 install itself to the SSD later on when you deicde to install Win 10. That way your are all setup "drive-wise" to install Win 10....versus installing Win 10 "and" doing the drive cloning.

What program would you recommend for cloning. My HDD partition size on C:/ is 58.1 GB (~ 20 GB free), and my SSD is Samsung SSD 850 PRO 128GB (Size 127 GB).

  3. I am not exactly sure how to check/verify that all my hardware is 64 bit compatible, but I recalled that during the Win7 installation, I was asked which version (32 or 64 bit) I'd prefer. At that time I choose 32 bit.

See Neversure's post above...it will show you whether your CPU is 32 or 64 bit architecture...and also whether you have 32 or 64 bit Windows installed.

    I know that I have Win7 32bit installed. PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE ... x86

I also know that my CPU (Intel® Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz) Number of Bits is 64.

  4. On the other hand: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/is-microsoft-is-going-to-provide-iso-for-windows/959b5db8-1561-42a5-a969-be3d851ee77e

Will ISO media be provided for the final release?

Yes, you will be able to download ISO media for Windows 10 RTM.

Please note, you might have to download the appropriate edition of Windows 10 for the version/edition of Windows you are upgrading. If you upgrade to the wrong edition, ie. Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 Pro, you will have to purchase a license for Windows 10 Pro or rollback to Windows 7 Home Premium and upgrade to Windows 10 Home.

  5. I just learned at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/windows-10-installation-on-a-new-hard-drive/84eed9a0-9f9f-45d3-aadd-a5f0917f7226

Will I have the option of choose a different drive or partition where I want the upgrade installed?

No, it will require that you are running a previous qualifying version and start the upgrade from within the qualifying version.

  6. I've found the answer to my question at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/windows-7-64-bit-to-windows-10-64-bit/2a29aa0e-473b-437e-94c7-51af8c1ed952

The free upgrade does not have the option to switch architectures, so the architecture will remain the same. If you want to switch architectures, you will have to download the Window 10 .ISO file in the appropriate architecture (32 or 64 bit) and do a custom install.
  7. Ive seen the other reports on the internet, pretty poor for this to be happening.

I was fortunate with the S6 edge, I was poised to buy one but as Samsung dicked me with my missus's phone (bricked itself doing a an official update and Samsung said too bad too sad when I asked to have it sorted under warranty (phone was still well within the warranty period).

We both now have the Zenfone 2, great phone and cheap compared to the samsung crap.

Where did you buy and how much did you pay for Zenfone 2 ? What are the specs?

  8. I am not exactly clear on what do you mean by saying "Up and running again."

I have my parcel sent to Thailand from Hong Kong on 10-Apr-2015.

According to Hongkong Post: "The item (RB123456789HK) left Hong Kong for its destination on 10-Apr-2015. Destination - Thailand"

    Today I checked the http://track.thailandpost.com/tracking/result.aspx shows : " Item Not Found "

    This is how its working...

With the Thai Post Office not re-opening til the 16th, and the parcel having to clear customs before entering the postal system its not surprising there is no info yet.

So, it should state - Clearing Customs or whatever. But " Item Not Found " is the wrong answer.
