This proposal worries me. How soon before it becomes a requirement for the Thailand Pass?

I have used Lazada over the last few months to buy digital watches and computer components from China. They are delivered by local courier and I have not been charged with any duties or taxes - even for orders over 20,000 baht.

When these notes were introduced in the UK we were told that they would last longer. This is just not true as I am still broke well before the end of the month.

I applied for and received Thailand Passes for myself and wife in less than 24 hours. Yes, you need to make sure that you follow the rules which are clearly set out in the current iteration of the application - especially regarding file formats and sizes. I'm not MENSA material and am in my 70's, so come on you young guys - didn't you pay too much attention at school? Now, where are my Werthers?

The British government's decision to maintain Thailand's red list ranking reflects two things. Firstly Thailand''s inaccurate and selective statistics reporting, and also a bit of revenge for the Thai treatment of both Brit and other nationalities in the kingdom. Most western governments recognize that Thailand is still ruled by military junta comprising corrupt officials. Their lack of education is also a problem. The pain suffered by UK expats trying to get home is now extended by at least another month. Word to the wise - stay away from Thailand until democracy is restored.

There's probably a "catch all" in the rules about doing anything that can be considered a nuisance to other owners, BBQ smoke would definitely be included.
It is illegal to have any gas bottle or gas appliance in a condo, it's not a matter of rules but the law of the land.
Which law are you referring to? When was it Gazetted? Total BS!

As expected, Thailand now on the UK red list, making it VERY expensive for brits to get back home, even those who took up the Phuket sandbox scam who will be stranded unless they pay the 2,200 GBP per person plus testing fees to get home. The UK decision reflects their distrust of Thailands reporting of daily infection figures and their general dislike of the military junta here.

I fear that discussions regarding vaccine acceptability in the UK will be rendered moot in the forthcoming week. Currently Thailand ranks number 35 in the list of Covid worst infected countries, but the UK Red List has 60 countries and territories on it. Mexico for example was demoted to the Red List with virtually no warning a few days ago. Ten days of quarantine in the UK will cost an individual 2,285 GBP (106,000 THB) or a family of four sharing 6,575 GBP (306,000 THB).

One Baht is too much for a bribe (AKA tea money).
One Baht is too much to pay an agent who bribes the IO on your behalf and takes a nice cut for himself.
Always take a thai speaking friend with you as a witness, and if a bribe is requested ask to see the officer in charge.

Window dressing for a failing regime. Educated rich people would not be interested in Thailand for one second. They usually do not invest in corrupt third world countries, let alone want to live in one.

Pathetic! They might just as well not have bothered!

Too late - you missed that bus. Now you have to take your turn with the rest of the Third World to see what scraps fall from the table.

The Embassy staff clearly have too much time on their hands. It would be better spent trying to secure vaccinations for its subjects.

How long will it take bofore the foreign embassies in Thailand realise that the Thai government has failed, and will continue to fail, in vaccinating not only their own subjects, but those of foreign countries residing in Thailand?
I am sure that the Australian embassy has taken the same stance as the British and other embassies that the Thai government will provide vaccinations to their subjects.
The British ambassador has assured British subjects that the Thai government will take care vaccinations for British subjects. Is he unaware of the farce taking place with registrations, or the use of an inneffective Chinese vaccine? Did this not make it to coctail hour at the British Club? Grow a pair and take this up with your Whitehall masters.

With respect, would you accept that you also have a duty of care for British citizens living in Thailand?

6 hours ago, British Consular Team said:Many people continue to ask if we can arrange vaccines for British people in Thailand. There is no change to the UK government's position on this. The NHS does not provide healthcare outside the UK so it can't offer vaccines to British people who live overseas, including here. This is not an excuse – it’s the UK government’s policy.
With respect, NHS policy has nothing to do with this. The current position is that British lives are at risk due to the failure of the Thai regime to organise an effective vaccination programme. Your position should be to approach your masters in Whitehall and call for emmergency help to provide vaccines to their subjects in Thailand. The logistics of distribution and administration of doses are relatively simple if the French example is anything to go by. Will you commit to help us?

Thailand (Still) Plans to Declare Covid-19 as Endemic by July

These buffoons can say what they please, but the fact is that the only body authorized to declare a pandemic "endemic" is the WHO, not a bunch of corrupt, inept soldiers.
