Stop this nonsence now and lock down Bangkok before the super spreader festivities start today. Close everything for three weeks to give a survival chance to the most endangered folks living here. The young have the rest of their lives to live.

These two Georgia contests are impossible to call because they will be mostly about turnout and voter suppression, but historically the odds of both democrats winning in a Georgia runoff are quite remote. Sadly.
Let's wait and see. I am sure that most american voters are not stupid.

Yeah, wait for the Georgia elections when the senate Democrats could have a majority. Trump is toast, thank God.

Priceless. I love all these Asian Space programmes, Billions spent while the poor stay poor, and largely uneducated, and the rich get richer, but are still uneducated. If their military flying is anything to go by, they will miss the Moon by miles.
A bit like USA then?

Unless the law has changed recently, to register the sale of a property at the Land Registry Office, they require evidence of funds paid between buyer and seller in Thai baht. This usually takes the form of a cashiers check. They also require taxes to be paid on the transfer in Thai baht. I do not think it will be possible to register change of ownership if these criteria are not met.

What ban are we talking about exactly? ????
If you go easy, you should be able to stretch this for the 24 hours.

The richest people I know ( all in Bangkok) all use agents. They more then qualify, but just don't want to deal with the paperwork or wait.
Clearly they have more money than sense. Agents are simply middlemen used to bribe immigration officers. (apart from those who just walk you through the process for a small fee)

"mandated"....say what.
Good luck with that in places such as USA where approx half the population (via poll) state they will not take the covid vaccine.
Then I guess those people will not be visiting Thailand.
-
A vaccine which has a 95% effectivity is rare in the history of medicine. If such a vaccine is mandated for the whole population of a country and its visitors it will reduce the pandemic to a mere annoyance or wipe it out completely. Of course on-going efforts are required to deal with any mutations which may appear during this period. So if this vaccine does what it says on the bottle we can look forward to being Covid free in the time it takes to vaccinate the whole population plus a couple of months. This should be realistically be possible by the end of 2021 or mid 2022. Be patient, the end is in sight.

I have a great bridge to sell this OP in New York.

Is this a serious question? The OP needs a few basic life skills before venturing into this market.

May I suggest as many of us as possible contact the BBC consumer affairs programme called "Rip Off Britain". They would love to highlight the plight of British and other tourists wanting to visit Thailand - whether for a holiday or other reasons. They would love to feature this, and I am sure would even contact the Thai embassy in the UK for their comments.

So a family of four wishing to holiday here would need two million baht to cover the four visas in their accounts? (around $66,000 dollars). In any case, what business is it of the Thai government to know how much the tourists visiting their country have in the bank? The same family of four would have to spend a small fortune in any case with air fares, visa charges, insurance and ASQ! Do these people have any education or common sense?

I think this "public outrage" is exaggerated. I did not encounter any demonstrations, looting, bottle throwing or any other signs of outrage during my morning walk today.

Dont forget to pack a couple of bottles of your favorite spirit, as you will not be able to get any at the ASQ facility.

"The TAT-owned Thailand Privilege Card, which runs the programme, aims to lure more investors with two stimulus schemes it will propose to the Centre for Economic Situation Administration (CESA)."
The word here is "lure", which for those not sufficiently educated in the english language means to influence or encourage someone to perform certain actions - often by deception. Enough said.
