Now that Trump is out of a job, it may be worthwhile securing his services to disign and build a WALL!

In line with increasing speed limits to reflect the actual speed many drivers observe, may I suggest increasing the blood alcohol limit to reflect seven or eight beers, and also reduce the legal driving age to ten. This will clear up the need to waste time prosecuting drivers for such offences, whilst maintaining a healthy death rate on our roads.

Honestly, I don't see the point of posting every time Bitcoin hits a new high. All this does is aggravate the older members on limited pensions.
We have already hashed over all that can be said about Bitcoin in the other threads and no one is changing anyone's mind. At this stage, twelve years into Bitcoin, you either understand why it is so important or you don't.
Hold off on these news stories for a month or two until it breaks a landmark price point such as USD 100k, or even just THB 2m at some point next week.
Sounds like sour grapes from an older member on a limited pension.

Im not familiar with the banking system here. Can I walk in to a random bank and ask to exchange 1000B bills into smaller bills? Do you need an account with them? Fees?
How about if I want new unused bills?
Just walk into any random bank and ASK!

It is obvious that the decline in the birth rate is mainly due to the significant decrease in sex tourism over the last year.

I think the government should take the opportunity to further damage the tourism industry by significantly increasing the cost of travel on both the BTS and MTS for tourists and resident foreigners. The Thais should have to pay at the current rate or lower. After all, such two tier pricing seems to be the norm here.

I guess you haven't bought a ticket in awhile. They have not been in pairs for over a year now. Single ticket, 6 million baht first prize. You can buy multiple tickets. A "pair" of tickets would win 12 million and usually cost 200 baht.
I don't know what planet you live on, but Thai lottery tockets are sold in pairs (40 Bhat X 2 = 80 Bhat).

The legal price is printed on each ticket and is 80 Baht for a pair of two.

It's ok. Foreign tourism makes up only a small 9% of Thai GDP. ????
I don't know where you get 9% from. Pre-Covid net contribution to GDP was 16%.

2) Do I need to fill out a TM30 with a photocopy of all our passports, visa, and departure cards like I need to for a 90-day report?
Unless the rules have changed, no document copies are required for 90 day reporting in person, just passport with previous report and completed TM47. Am I correct?

The MTT online apointment booking reservation system for 90 day reporting seems not to be working at present. After filling in details, and selecting the 90 day reporting, it will not let me enter a date in the apointment box. Has anyone else experienced this lately. (and no I cant do it online or by mail this time).

It is totally irresponsible for the Thai government not to lock down all areas in which local transmission cases have been discovered. The massive increase in cases over the last few days warrants immediate action. To consider relaxing current restrictions in Bangkok and its surrounding suberbs is lunacy. What happened to the cautious restrictions we saw last year which eradicated local infections completely?

I gather that progress towards the development of the vaccine is being severely hampered by a nationwide shortage of medical grade woks.

This is a rather backwards manoeuvre, I remember paying 500 baht at the airport just to be let out of the country. As long as the fee is less than a bar fine, most people won't be too unhappy. If it goes off maybe they should employ bar girls to collect it and escort tourists to an office for some V.I.P treatment for a few mins also.
Great idea, just put the money in the slot!

What plans have the Embassy made to innoculate British citizens living in Thailand? Will you be importing vaccines and arranging jabs? What is the timetable for this, and where and when can we register?

Oh! come on - what this guy is saying is that his policing infrastructure is not fit for purpose. Whatever happened to agressive law enforcement. Seems that he is saying that he relies on informants, and not his own police officers who are probably running these operations or accepting brown envelopes from them.
