  5. I was on an OA pension before leaving Oz in February & did not advise centrelink of me leaving however when immigration checked me out at the airport it automatically advised centrelink. They sent me an advice thru my govt that they had stopped my pension and paid me up to the date of my departure. I will now be returning to Oz next month 100 percent permanantly. Do you think I will have problems restarting my pension as all my recorded details with centrelink have not changed, except my address & phone number in Oz ??

  10. I am not aware of any changes to the Marriage Extension whereas a health policy is required whatsoever. I am currently on my 7th marriage extension and health policy has never been requested by any IMO.
  11. I recently changed over to 3BB from TOT and at this stage I have no complaints,I am only on the cheap THB590 scheme but manage to get 400 + download using an ethernet LAN cable and getting a suitable wifi speed using the 2G and not the 5G because the distance from my router to TVBox is about 6 mtrs + and the greater the distance 2G is stronger than 5G,according to the 3BB techo.
  12. Have any members recently undertaken their renewal of the above at Nonthaburi Imm and have any of the forms for 2023 been changed i.e Form 7 as it still states arrival card number od which is no longer applicable ? Tha714815003_MarriageExtensionRequirements2 (3).pdf thanks for yr feedback
  13. I have a BKK Bank Debit/mastercard with the chip for tap & go, can anyone advise if there is a limit on tap & go before you need to insert yr card and pin number or does that depend on the trader ? Also I presume that pin number is the same as your ATM pin number ?? thanks & sorry if I appear dense on these matters.
  14. Can any members kindly advise if it is possible to be issued a new passbook when the old one is full from any Bangkok Bank branch or only the one where the account was opened ?? thanks for yr feedback !!
  15. I appreciate that this question has been probably asked before but if I am returning with a valid re-entry permit connected to a valid marriage extension I do NOT require medical insurance, is that correct ??? thanks
  16. As most of you QLDers are aware the Qld motor transport dept do not accept valid Thai licenses but if you can show them your old expired QLD licence then you would be required to do an online written test for $26.85 and use your old Qld license number as a customer reference number but you need to put a 0 in front of your number. You will need to pay $62.80 for the practical driving test. Once you pass the test you will be issued with an Queensland open drivers licence and not a restricted "P" plate licence. If you are 75+ then you will require a Docs certificate.
  17. No not as this stage although I did get a re-entry permit when I left .
  18. Just for the info of those considering to relocate back to Oz I have just been through this exercise after residing in Asia for the past 28 years with 20 of those in Thailand. I am 74 and a Oz born male,I arrived back in Oz on the 20 Nov and visited Centrelink on the 22 Nov after I opened an Oz bank account. I was given a new temporary medicare card until the new plastic card arrived in the mail. On the 23 & 24 Nov I was interviewed and Oz Age Pension application was lodged with the exception of my past Tax File Number of which I needed to apply thru an Aust Post Office & this was done on the the following week. Today I received advice from Services Australia that my application for the AOAP had been approved and my 1st payment will be made this Friday backdated to the 24 November. It was all too easy and was only asked once if I intended to remain in Australia in which I replied yes.
  19. Have any members had any recent experience on returning to Thailand with a valid extension in passport but no re-entry permit ???
  20. If I cancel my AIS phone service but retain the sim card do I lose all my contacts, photos ,phone numbers etc. I have a dual sim card phone where I will insert a new Aust sim card.
  21. Have any members down loaded the above app as I am having some problems navigating around this site. Thanks
  22. I have received the following advice from my VPN provider. "Earlier this year, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) announced that it will require VPN providers to log personal user data and maintain this data for 5 years. In light of these rules, we made the decision to remove our servers from India in June. Amidst growing concerns around what these rules entail, and to further ensure we can maintain a log-free VPN, we’ve since decided to no longer sell or provide access for users connecting from India.

    VPN's

I did the compare VPNs exercise a few months ago as my Express VPN was going go to be renewed and I was looking for a cheaper alternative that had servers in Australia. I checked numerous VPN suppliers and ended on settling for "Tunnel Bear" of which has been very reliable.
