The thread was indeed removed mainly for 2 reasons which i have outlined below:

so as we see most forums are deleting or locking threads about police volunteers, now why would that be if there is a reasonable discussion without flaming??

ok its time to think about this admins post, he is quite high profile in pattaya and he has his name and address on the who is, i shall email him and get him to correct that, but his website is hosted in the usa much the same as this website, so the question is why are they scared of a few emails??

erm yes howard is but as most of ur posters aint in thai it wouldnt make any differance if howard got ur site banned from thailand, would howard do that?? a lot have threads have been closed down for him, howard also posts in wot wou;ld be considered the most illegal of thai forums, he also goes to gogo bars and watches naked women, wot he does after that i have no idea...

ken, unfortuneately these guys are allowed to work here illegally by the tourist police whereas teachers are not protected by such high powered ppl, yet the volunteers for the normal police are setting up bar owners for working illegally, i assume the tourist police volunteers will start doing the same in the near future. lovely ppl we live amongst, i remember when i first came to Thailand and everybody said dont trust the Thais, well that has certainly changed now...

the boys in brown used a belgian guy to set up jade bar, it cost jade bar just over 20,000baht in fines, the belgian baker has a business here, is he doing this to get well known by the bars?

10 days before peppermint was closed howard the volunteer was in there, 3 days before that 2 tourist police were in there getting their free drinks.

certainly makes me wonder..

just as a warning to some of you teachers working here without a work permit, the tourist police volunteers do monitor this site so it is probably best if you do not give out too much information about your selves.

They only seem interested in arresting flower sellers and gogo girls showing their breasts, its probably a lot safer than arresting real criminals.

Looking at previous threads, I would think that most are wanted criminals in their home countries, as they are so willing to work here, for such small salaries and also to risk being imprisoned for working without a work permit, to a wanted criminal working without a work permit in their minds is just a minor violation of the host countries laws.

I wonder if they will think that way if and or when they are arrested, locked up, fined, deported and blacklisted from Thailand.
