    Thai Citeznship

    Hi All,

    If you are intrested in thai citeznship it can be applied for at following location. I know some people have asked this before.

    Royal Thai police Special Branch Division.

    Bulding 21

    Patunwan near to siam BTS .

    From my understanding after talking with the officer there there is no quota system for this, descions are made on the merit of the applicant. I have listed below the main criteria.

    1. Must be able to sing the Thai National anthem. and The queens song.

    2. Must have a work Permit

    3. Must have been in Thaiand for 3 consecutive years.

    4. Must have paid personal income tax for 3 years.

    5. Must have made a donation to a charitable orgaisation in Thailand IE: Por Tek Tung etc.

    6. salary requirments during the application period Single person 80.000 Thb, Married person 40.000 Thb

    7. should be able to speak resonable Thai and understand spoken Thai.

    8. Criminal record clearance.

    9. 5000 Thb application fee.

    Processing time will be 2 to 3years (but possibly less)

    If the application is approved you will need to select a Thai Name, you will be entitled to a Thai ID card and passport. depending on your country of origin you maybe required to give up you current nationalty.

    The police officers speak very good English and are extremly helpfull and above all freindly.

    15 Month Overstay

    Hi,

    I was in this situation a few months back but my overstay was 20+ years and yes it ratere scary. I left VIA the Nong Khai Border checkpoint and paid my 20,000 Baht. Immigration where surprised to see 20 years overstay and ask why I stayed so long I explained that i have my wife and children here and did not have money to deposit to get the 1 year visa. They said yes that is rather difficult for a lot of people and not very fair. Put a little stamp in my passport said have a good trip and said see you on the way back for your next 20yrs !!!!!!!!!!. They were very pleasant about it absolutely no hassles at all.

    Just don't get caught by police on the way to the border and he will be fine.

    Non O At Savankhet

    Hi All,

    I will apply for a Multiple entry NON O , in Savanakhet I understand that each entry is 90 days, can I extend each entry for 60 days at imigration in Thailand as I am married here legaly., I belive also that from a this multiple entry I can get a total of 15 months with correct timing, on the last entry can I extend that at imigration in Thailand that would give me a total 0f 17 months.
