Do they realise that this 500 Baht tax at land borders will also reduce the numbers of people from neighbouring countries coming in on a short trip and spending money in Thailand?
They told the Thai people a long time ago that it was no longer required that people wear masks.
So now it is a matter of choice.
Why do so many seem to care about other people's choices to wear a mask?
I still choose to wear a mask when I go to the market, Big C and crowded places.
It is my choice and you really have no need to be concerned about it.
I have aircon units but I don't use them. I find fans plenty good enough and I don't suffer from the heat shock when I go out. Mind you, I do suffer from the cold shock when I step into some air conditioned places!
There may be many things that I complain about but the cost of electricity in Thailand is not one,
The price increases have been minimal compared to other countries since energy prices increased,
Motorbike and car taxi drivers have to be registered.
I wonder if they are also required to carry insurance that covers their passengers in cases such as this?
I live in Khon Kaen and I enjoy living here and have good expat friends.
If I was a tourist, coming to Thailand on holiday and had no connection to Khon Kaen, it is probably the last place that I would want to stay!
