A test on large scale for Delta in UK found that after one shot of Pfizer Moderna or AZ only protected for 33% for all 3. Only after second shot it went much higher. But still less then for all original covids-19

That why UK reduced time between first and second for AZ from 12 to 8 weeks. And now even when have enough try little earlier.

As someone who is in China having to complete 3 weeks mandatory quarantine (2 weeks in a state hotel) puts everyone off.

Totally wrong thinking.  Large test in UK proved that for the Indian varriant for AZ Pfizer and Moderna after 1 shot was only effective for 33% for all and only came much much higher effective after second. That also why UK government reduced the time between both from 12 to 8 weeks

For Indian varriant need second dose ASAP and SURE NOT 16 weeks later. After 1 jab only 33% protection, only after 2nd that it goes up a lot. Same for Moderna

Longer time between first and second shot would be insane. The Indian varriant only protects 33% for AZ and Pfizer ( and most probably also Moderna) after first jab. It only after getting second that immunity goes up a lot. In Uk they just reduced the time from 12 to 8 weeks. These monkeys here want bring it to 16 weeks
