  1. My girlfriend of 2 years changed her name before we met. The monk told her that her original name was unlucky. She now believes the monk was right. New house and car. Her luck has changed

...or her unluck has been transfered to you.

New house and car to use

Guess the house belongs to her. So, yes you can stay until she get other ideas.

    30 year lease

  2. Oh and you would have watch a channel 7 commentary, since your not aussie you would need to know they suck big time...they have had a monopoly on the coverage since tv games were first screened, channel 9 and 10 got the rights for the first time no so long back and did a great job, unfortunately that 7 mob out bid for the free to air TV rights and we got those morons covering it again.

To state that they needed to wip GWS for percentage etc shows you what a bunch of morons they are, totally unprofessional, i turn down the sound when i watch my club play and i dont bother to watch anyone else because there so bad at it.

Thanks for your reply. I'm a little wiser now. So because of the rolling schedule, two equally strong teams placing on the ladder can actually be decided by, if you are "lucky" in the present season to meet GWS and GCS twice, whereas the not so lucky team meets them only once ? I liked your comment about, me not being an aussie, so you had to explain to me, that the commentators are morons sad.png . Talking about commentators, do all retired players become "experts", when they have finished playing ? Ling, Kirk, Johnson this year. Must be expensive.

Do not forget the recently retired coaches Roos and Malthouse

  3. I enjoy eating just the simple box cake mixes that you buy at the store.I've never looked for them at tesco's,big C etc.Being thai's don't use ovens,i'm thinking there isn't A big market for them.

There are box cake mixes available in Big C extra. I haven't looked what varities as I don't have an oven but they are there.

    They are also in Tesco

  4. So how are you dealing with the swarms that have no doubt inundated your home after these recent rains?

When they came some got in but with flywire on all windows and doors it slowed them down. Closed all curtains as well. Only had 2 bad times so fairly lucky.

  5. Is this the exact location? (from our Google map of immigration locations)

    https://maps.google....008163,0.012424

No this is not correct. It is back down the main road about 2 Kms from the border. It is on the left hand side heading towards the border. The driveway is off Phahon Yothin Rd

Doing the 90 day reporting also allows me to post in if i wanted to. It took 5 minutes and the officer and I were talking about different Thai beers for most of the time.

  6. Yesterday I travelled to Mae Sai to apply to change my visa from Non Immigrant O to a long time stay. The staff I encountered were extremely helpful. The visa was granted within 20 minutes of us walking in. I asked what visa name I should put on the form. She said retirement visa . I had the stat dec from the Australian Embassy which I had written. Also letter from my super pension provider. The only questions she asked was what my former work was, how long I had worked there. and did I have any sisters and brothers. That cost me 1900 Baht and then I applied for multiple entry which was 3800 Baht. I thought it would be all in one but there are 3 steps. I also filled in a form for 90 days reporting. Had to go and do more photocoping but that was no hassle. There was one in the grounds outside.

This was my first time to Chaing Rai Immigration in Mae Sai. I googled its location and the map said it was 150 metres off the main highway. It is right on the main road and next to TOT building. There is parking in the grounds. The building is about 2km from the border. Advice for any other first timers.

. There was a sign on the gate that read "Please wear courteous clothing". I was worried because I was wearing shorts. They were tailored shorts though. As I walked in I noticed one officer look me up and down but nothing was said. The female officer I dealt with had good English skills

  7. Ice cold Leo for me. When I first came to LOS I drank Singa. Next day I would have the shits. Now that I drink Leo no problems. 500 baht for a box of long necks.

  8. I was with a thai driver who did not turn left at a red light. Car behind him tooted the horn twice. After the 2nd toot the driver got out and pointed to the sign. He then got back in the car and waited for the lights to change. No more noise from the car behind. The girlfriend then explained what the sign was.]

  9. I checked fedex web and they had the following

Effective 1st July 2011, all shipments containing restricted FDA (Foods and Drugs Administration) commodities, which are imported into Thailand without a license, may be destroyed.

According to Articles 27 and 27 bis of the Customs Act B.E. 2469, any restricted items imported into Thailand, including, but not limited to, medicine, food, drinks, supplementary products, vitamins, and cosmetics, must have an import license issued by the relevant government agency.

Non-compliant shipments may be subject to a customs fine upon arrival, or they may be destroyed unless permits and supporting documents are provided to fulfill FDA requirements.

I would not use Fedex or DHL.
