  1. Young Thai men hate falung ATMs who take their Thai GF back to their homeland to marry.
  2. I may be wrong but I think you can open an account if you are married to a Thai at BK Bank, this is one of the conditions to open an account now, you would probably need a letter from Thai immigration and your marriage certificate in Thai and take the Thai wife with you, BK bank are always nice to us and very understanding, otherwise how will people get money into an account, surely immigration would help with this. ???
  3. My card would not work at Huahin hospital the other day even though I entered the correct pin. I then tried 2 ATMS and said wrong pin Then went to Bangkok Bank, lady cleaned card and went outside with me and I tried card machine said wrong pin and swallowed card. I then went inside they issued new card, she said enter old pin if you want if you get it correct we don't charge you, I got it right, I never forget pin, then she said you want to change pin, I said yes. They spent 1 hour copying my passport and checking visa I had to sign lots of copies and papers, had the wife with me, Another bloke beside me was going through the same thing, His card stopped as well. They were more interested in his passport. I have had my account 18 years and I have to think this was a checkup.
  4. Just a thought, schools will be closed Sunday
  5. That's the problem all round.
  6. A good opportunity for importers to clip the ticket at this end. My son is an international buyer he's given up on Thailand long ago. A good mid range wine should only be 200/600 per bottle Jacobs Creek 200 Bhat in NZ, allways good, from Aussie
  7. The best form of defence is attack
  8. When I drop my son off at school there's thousands on bikes with babies as well, and no helmets. Police often controlling the traffic, nothing ever done, can you put helmets on babies? Up to 4 on a bike, no helmet. We all know this and we all know it's impossible to enforce. Just another tea money exercise. These bikes with kid's and no helmets terrify me when driving. Without bikes to transport Thai people there would be more chaos if they used cars and they probably can't afford them. Falungs ignore helmets as well, falung beware from Sunday
  9. Tab, odds Thaksin 10 Bhat to win, the rest 1 Bhat

  13. Money saving exercise, the embassies are skeleton staffed, hope NZ does not follow suit, its only a letter that has to be backed up by letter from pension office , passport and a fee of about 400 Bhat, then you have to go to the embassy and pick it up, maybe a problem for the embassy to provide letters for other income but NZ is ok with pension letter.
