Health Thailand Urges Action as HIV Cases Exceed 500,000
kiwikeith replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Sad but true, maybe the need for a compulsory HIV clearance b4 entry ,although the disease can lie dormant for some time. I took a relative to hospital with HIV, after contacting the Thailand aids foundation, they told me treatment was free, they kicked me out of the hospital when I questioned the DR about this, I got treatment for him from another hospital who issued the drugs free but charged for tests and back up which was very reasonable. The drugs are supposed to be free but corruption amongst treatment providers sees them charging for the drugs, very sicko people. No wonder its spreading, also I have known people with aids ,through this experience of trying to help a relative, that ignore the infection , stop taking drugs and have babies with Gf's, very sad but was told by another rele that its up to them. Be extra careful out there its Russian roulette not to wear a condom, worse these days than a few tears ago, what will be done?? nothing I bet. In other countries it is illegal to have sex with another if you have aids and do not inform them, its a jailing offence and serious if the victim contracts HIV and will die from it. -
I do the pension thing, I get verification of income from the pension department not from the bank , it is nothing to do with banks its the govt that issues your pension, so get in touch with them , i had to write to NZ foreign affairs pension portability to apply for the pension to be issued in Thailand they issued me a letter stating what my monthly income would be and the bank it would be paid into, my BK bank I had to supply them with my bank book copy and swift codes. They issued me with a letter by email, stating what will be paid into my account every 28 days. I had to get this letter verified by the NZ embassy, very simple email it to them along with the fee and they issue you with a stamped letter, immigration then sent this letter to the department of internal affairs to acquire another stamp, took about 2 weeks all in total I dont know why immigration did the second approval but they handled that and the letter was all stamped and done no problem, then they issued me a non o based on marriage to a Thai. Once I had waited for approval of the visa after using a sixty day and one month extension they asked to see my BK bank statements, the bank issued these and asked was it for visa , said yes they took a copy of PP and stamped every page of my printout and we both signed the statements, Thai immigration were very happy , no problems

Report Thailand Tightens Cannabis Laws, Dispensaries Must Transform
kiwikeith replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
if you read the article it seems they are well prepared with this coming change with over 9000 trained to issue prescriptions, where did they spring from???, and they are ready to roll.(new role for medical dropout students) Not much expense just change the signs to look more respectable, rename the shop a medical clinic and dress everyone in white coats, simple all over nothing will change its a lot of gobbley gook. The other question is who will monitor the THC levels if 9000 trained prescription issuers are ready to roll that means 9000 shops will be ready to reopen and 3000 will have to wait for more trainees to pass the medical school . (requirement, be able to write a prescription, take blood pressure, use stethoscope, and bingo you get your ganja) -
