Xi's gently gently plan to take over Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and yes eventually Thailand is making progress..

Thaksin and the rest of the Thai ministers will be under his control.

Xi is investing heavily in Railways, bridges, infrastructure and companies in all the countries, shipping in Chinese materials and personal to make sure it's all done his way.

When he has that completed he has a say in the economy, and corrupt officials will obey his every word.

Give it 10 years and the master plan south of China will be in place.

    Watch out Malaysia.

XI is happy watching the USA bleed to death financially over Israel and Ukraine

It is my mother's 80th birthday today. She has received a letter from the DWP advising that she will be receiving a 25 PENCE per week increase in her state pension for reaching this milestone.

It probably cost a months worth of the increase just to notify her by post.

Ok translation, does this mean you will still get your govt pension, but no increase, not no pension at all, if so your lucky, because they could stop it being portable, then all of us, Aussie and kiwi would follow suit, disaster waiting to happen, we all know they want to take pensions off us. Australians have to return to Aussie every 6 months to continue their pension, now it's turned into a govt scandal if we let them.

Stupid Thai tax started the whole thing.

What a tool, everyone knows that you cannot sell drugs in Thailand.

Drug dealing is an occupation that is reserved for Thai police nationals only

Lots of bar girls take ya bah to stay awake, even the Thais that sell it to them snitch, so if a foreigner thinks he can sell drugs in Thailand he's mad, especially on death island.

I knew a guy who spent 9 in the Hilton, not for drugs, and what he told me about life in a thai jail was horrific, why these people want to go there is brainless.

It's been fine for 6 years,  never had any problems.  The supply side adds water up high,  close to the top of the water tank so even if it was draining back it could only go down a little bit.  Now it goes down to almost empty.

Check your toilets, it could be running down through the septic tank and out to the street drains, and your water bill should be high if its leaking away, call a water pump guy to have a look, very cheap but be weary of the septic tank guys, they will try you on.

So they want the tourist dollars but not the tourist. The dollars support the failing financial govt plans and the Tourist Industry Sector but the extra people are just a nuisance to deal with. And this is coming from the Federation of Thai Tourist Industry which is the group that promotes tourism. You really can't make this $hit up.

They could sell Pattaya and Phuket to Russia,

A shocking execution-style murder in the early hours of yesterday morning has left the Thai boxing community in mourning. The 56 year old, owner of a boxing camp, known as Sia Dam, was brutally shot in the head and neck by an unidentified gunman, resulting in his immediate death.

The incident, which took place around 4am yesterday, April 22, unfolded in the presence of his son at a religious celebration in Buriram province.

The tragedy struck just as the celebrations at Nong Teng Temple in Nong Teng subdistrict, were concluding. Sia, a respected figure from Chokna Sam Subdistrict, Prasat District, Surin Province had brought two of his boxers to compete at the event, which also included an honorary ceremony for the abbot.

The assailant, who remains at large, used a grey Hyundai van with a Cambodian license plate as the scene for the cold-blooded killing.

Sia’s son, whose identity has been protected, recounted the harrowing moments that led to his father’s murder. After the boxing matches, they were heading to the van to rest. As his father opened the door and leaned on the seat, a man in a long-sleeved green shirt and a hat suddenly appeared and shot Sia point-blank, right before his eyes. The son, in shock, was left frozen as chaos ensued around them.

The victim’s wife, 46 year old Nittaya is devastated by the loss of her husband, who she insists had no known enemies. Sia was a simple businessman, selling bottled water and managing a public restroom in Chong Chom market. The van in which he was killed was loaned to him by a friend as collateral.

The Provincial Police Region 3 Chief, Major General Ruthaphon Naowarat revealed that despite no apparent disputes on the night of the murder, no leads will be disregarded, including those related to the boxing circles.

A team of police investigators from various units, including the Provincial Police Region 3, Buriram Provincial Police, and Krasang Police Station, are intensively gathering evidence and collaborating with Surin province officers to unravel the case, reported Khaosod.

The USA overthrew the government of Ukraine and there's been nothing but mayham since, The USA have been doing this world wide using the CIA, and people have now had a guts full, protests world wide now and most media under severe control.

Exactly. Perhaps ex-pats should be given a bit more credit, in this formula? We do bring in alot of stable income.  Even the rural folks benefit. Alot of the nicer houses in the poorer farming areas were built with money from expats. Alot of trucks, cars and income is from expats. Countless businesses, employing many. To say it is insignificant, is a blatant misunderstanding of Thai economics. Thousands of hotels, restaurants, countless airlines and many tour companies, also benefit.

By comparison, an average ex-pat spends how much per month? I would say alot of us spend 50,000 to upwards of 100,000 baht a month. I know I do. No value in that? I know some live on less. However, since the average GDP of the nation is around $570, that means about 20,000 baht a month?

I think xenophobia is utterly rampant, in all segments of the government here, from the feds right on down to the local amphur. However, I do not think most Thai people are that way. I think most either like us, or are indifferent to us. Which I can handle.

I think ex-pats should be treated with the kind of respect and acknowledgement we deserve.

If there was decency abs wisdom within the govt. they should say we have decided to change our policies, and we now realize how much you guys bring to the table.

An immigration officer will now come to your home to renew your visa, to show our appreciation, of your continued support. You will only be required to sign one form, and we will give you a five year, multiple entry visa. Free of charge.

And we will include a 10,000 baht voucher, good for any hotel in the country, for one year.

Princely treatment. Thank you so much for helping to rescue our economy and our people. We appreciate it, and aim to show it for a change! We are past the era of thugs like the big joke.

And we apologize for all of his abuse. We realize we have been moving the country backwards.

And Covid has given us all some time to reflect.

We are going to start changing things, and attempt to move the nation forward, instead of backwards.

Wouldn’t that be nice I think I will write a letter to Thaksin, my mother in law loves him.

Totally agree. Land of stoners and losers. Worse than ever which is sad for the people of Thailand who, bless them, deserve better of foreigners. I was in Pattaya last week. Walking down Buakhao heading to hotel after after early am excercise, passing Easy Corner (opposite R-Con Corner), aged westerners on the beer at 07:30am eating breakfast FFS! Come on guys, life is more than that.

I see a few people I've known for years getting on the grog early now, but they don't harm anyone but their livers, and they go home earlier.

It's probably the younger ones that Smoke dope and booze up big time that get into trouble.

It's a joke that the THC level of dope now sold everywhere is controlled.

And meth is on the increase with people in there 50s using it now, combine all 3 and you will have trouble, it's out of hand in NZ, crime everywhere.

I think the war in Ukraine has caused the whole world to have problems, it's absolutely insane for the USA to fund a war that's screwing everyone.

Then the greedy banks are screwing everyone with high interest, supermarket's as well.

Russians are fleeing to escape the nicknamed meat grinder, Ukraine can't recruit troops and Israel is a basket case.

Then Thailand which I have spent the last 17 years in, off and on a bit, and where I want to stay, is making it harder for me and all expats.

I have a Thai wife and son, I have a house in Thailand, I supported my wife's family and still support my wifes mom who is nearly 80,but it's getting harder for us to get visas, but my wife and son can stay in NZ forever and Thailand, it should be easy to stay in Thailand and look after your family and retire.

It's a battle now, I don't know what Thailand will do but they need to take a good look at the situation.

For those that are confused, the Ukraine proxy war has caused food prices to soar because Ukraine supplies the bulk of fertilizer and grain around the world, it has spiked food prices through the roof in NZ, also petrol prices are spiked everywhere it has caused the cost of living to go through the roof in NZ.

And it has starved many in Sri Lankans people and other countries peoples to death.

Its not our war, it s causing Ukrainians to flee and Russians to flee, many flocking to Thailand, its costing the UK Europe and USA, Australia and NZ tax payers big time, and NATO will never be allowed into Ukraine, a top pentagon official was interviewed on going underground the other day and he said the war is already lost, but the mad arms manufacturers are making billions while the world suffers.

The USA did not let Russia have missiles in Cuba and Russia does not want NATO on it's door step.

Its causing problems in Thailand as well as just about every country in the world.

A few years ago Putin told Bill Clinton Russia would join NATO, they told him to get lost, Putin offered the USA a deal to combine their nuclear arsenal together to join forces to create world peace stability, the US did not want to know about it.

That was on the Carlson interview with Putin a few weeks ago.

Who did the foreigner piss off? That takes some effort.

I was attacked from behind a few years ago by a guy who was German or Belgian in Hua Hin while sitting at the shop bar in Smorprong. The guy was a professional cage fighter, he attacked me because he told others that I said something bad about him that I dont recall.

I was fortunate enough to cover my head with my hands but still spent 3 days in bed.

My wifes brother was police and they got him, locked him up and then brought him to my house put him on his knees and made him apologize, and pay my wife 10,000 BHAT, which I never saw a penny of , I think it went back to the police, they asked me if I wanted him deported I said if he stays away from me its ok.

I saw him many times later and he was to scarred to come near me, also my 2 best friends were boxers and told him they would smash him if he hurt anyone again.

The guy was a nut case.

I wonder if it was the same guy?

My friends wife lent money to a policeman, he didn't pay it back she bad mouthed him, he lost face, drove by their house and fired several 9mm shots through the front doors, I suppose he also had no intention to kill, only thing that saved my friend and his kids was the bedroom walls were concrete, nothing happened to the perp.

She said, he said... best of luck sorting out the biggest liar

    How did she enter Thailand?

    Stowed away on a ship??

    Private jet?

Lebanese involved, big money talked about, tip off to police by remorseful gang member, maybe he was paid to tip off the police, very fishy story here.

Seems like Thailand will be renamed soon,to

    Crimeland.

Ever since dope got legalised the place seems to have got worse, Russians will continue to flood in as long as the war in Ukraine continues, and they will bring the bad elements with them, in Australia the Lebanese mafia are feared now and run the drug dealers in King's Cross. The world is a mess.

THere has always been a "burning season" - but in the last decade the burning of biomass has dramatically increased due to pressure from the small CARTEL that runs the commodities markets in Thailand. The amount of traffic has increased exponentially and so has the output of industry - in particular the petro-chemical industroes.

THe topography of Chiang Mai makes it much more susceptible that most places as does the topography of BKK.

For several months of the year now, parts of northern THailand are virtually uninhabitable

If the stupid greedy arms manufacturers don't stop sending weapons to Ukraine and Israel Pattaya will soon be uninhabitable.
