i'm afraid I can believe it. denmark dont take any refugees & want to pay as little as possible to the poor greeks (to help the refugees themselves which obviously they are not able too much like Italy).

So I think we have to be realistic & expect nothing more but hope for the best just like we do as guest in foreign countries like Thailand. play the game so to speak

Just got email from prolanguage school saying there's new chance to get ED visa if one can get embassy letter but NOT being on NON IMM stamp already! Initially they told me quota was full or too late last week so there's still options & this one does not sound more expensive (yet). Specific for CM folks/IO compliance but may work for their BKK, PTY etc branches too but for me it's easy - no emb. letter already NON IMM so it's another dead end ???? Besides I'm not really into study at this time ????

They quote 6m 41k, 12m 59k all incl. also the Covid extension they do for you (have to be all together to be eligible) apply latest by 22nd.

P.S. just notice that 22nd is also really last straw chance cabinet may mention/approve any further amnesty/visa measures so indicate strongly nothing is going to happen why else leave option open to wait for free & if nothing then apply & pay up! ????

We've seen a few happy stories of letters to media / governments helping to change policies but appear as uphill battles in this last hour. Good for the Americans though ????

in order to get up the spec/quality ladder without paying more is to buy 2nd hand ????
a quick search in e.g. facebook market will reveal a lot of better choices in your bracket or perhaps you up it a bit to get something that actually lasts beyond 6-12 months!!
example huawei P20 etc. the last huaweis that still use android instead of upcoming huawei OS are sure to be longterm hits ????

are you insinuating domestic travelers research/check whether a hotel they plan to book e.g. as it's discounted on their travel program has signed up for asq/special tourist program before booking?

Well lets see, i dont really afraid to be deported, im afraid of 1-5 year ban.

There's a lot of small talk going on with many personal or org. opinions, but the unofficial announcements pouring out from before previous amnestys/grace periods seem totally absent now is what worries me & thus playing plan C already!

I think in event of actually having to fly out of own will or deported would not matter much but likely the mindset & idea of coming back will be tainted/changed forever once seen from afar...

As soon as you hit the thai gulf i.e. Petchaburi & all the way down through prachuab, chumpon, surat & finally nakon st cool beaches abound. Forget Krabi & the bloody andeman westcoast!! ever heard of kanom, sichon etc  beaches? well one is famed for surfing the other for white sandy unspoiled beaches. wont find that at ao nang!!! ofcuz no bargirls to speak of except in the latter - except now they would be gone ????
Ever heard of sand dunes? Well Chumpon has those @ Tam-Tong-Bang-Boet beach ????

Indeed Denmark refused which to be honest is disappointing merely repeating that traveling there is totally possible!
So that leaves the medical certificate perhaps one could assume covid symptoms etc...
Also for those with still valid multi visas a chance border encounter is futile after Myanmar's epidemic which I believe has shut any possibility at Mae Sot...

Other than that overstay or last minute agent schemes & of course pray for amnesty / immigration easing!! 

As per immi own numbers of 10th this month (ONE DAY) some 700 farang were stamped in just a bit less than numbers of Thais as they sued a twitter user. So is a whopping additional ~40/day. 40 stamps!!! So they have 40 desks at swampy at least so each lucky IO might get 1 stamp each!!! ???? That is if anyone at all actually buy into this SPECIAL visa ????

For those without options there's nothing to lose as have been mentioned. Wait till the last minute & even then still have another 90 days on overstay although I guess overstay could actually be 6 months already if on full amnesty isn't it which isn't documented in the passport ????

Still many who can't get or only randomly/difficult embassy letters i.e. EU/UK etc. Russians?

So how many is still here without any options? 100k? a handful? 500k?
How many went with agents? Apparently 'quotas' are already full & no additional? another 100k?

Embassy ext. I think is not too many...

But as OP said. Don't worry amnesty WILL be extended as we already paid ???? So yes I hope it will. Or at least some 'easing' as Phuket imm./news continue to insist will at least happen in last minute. Just be patient!!

It's a sad state of affairs I guess it may be time to shop around for some new/secondary/primary nationality somewhere.
Indeed Finnair appear very cheap although not free as best option flight back home.
I sent a mail to Danish embassy few days ago & auto reply was they might respond within 7-14 days...Back in April they responded within 1 day saying letter not needed as amnesty had just been enacted!

Anyway 30 days ext. which may be only granted as 'under consideration & only once is not a sustainable way to remain & amnesty ext. seem very unlikely so I've decided to do the alternative ????

Yes so we are talking of special cases just like UK embassy issuing but unlike USA which smartly issue the generic blanket letter as Thai immigration wants ????

So thus I assume nobody with EU passport have any special case of needing to extend Thailand stays at this stage. Interesting ????

I see UK reluctantly issued a few letters but also refused many & anyway they are no longer part of EU so how about others?
Denmark clearly states they no longer issue as flying back is possible! I as many do not have residence/address/home in the EU so the letter is simply for the citizen to extend the stay as Thailand requires this for a simple 'covid' extension as covid amnesty is likely to run out soon...
E.g. we are waiting for borders to open so we can resume our border bounce ????
Or waiting for xx country to open border so we can continue our round the world travels etc.
All sorts of reasons why they should issue just like the USA does - play the covid game ????

so much for the 80% (after today's cabinet meeting mistakenly approved a new special 270 day inbound visa instead of honoring existing visas (both for in country/overseas valid visa holders)!

I'd say I trust Zikomat some 20% on correcting that mistake by next week or extend the amnesty ????

Yes it makes sense, but which 1 year extension do you propose at this time on a non O (with amnesty on top)? Volunteer 12 months for xx,xxx baht?

Sad state of affair but yes maybe desperate times call for desperate action. Corruption is a sad thing. 19 september the masses will gather & speak out against the government. I'd say next week long term tourist/expats in country should gather & speak put against them being sidestepped by the just approved 9 months 'special' tourist visa plan while already existing visa(s) (rules) aren't being honored i.e. multi entry visas, retiree visas, business visas etc.

Perhaps the border post would be appropriate meeting spot?
