  1. Perhaps spend 1000thb on a flight to Bangkok when you decide to buy.

Surely that is a price from 'a Honda dealer' and not 'Honda'.

Fortunately, unlike Kawa and their set price gouging on the N250, Honda dealers have the freedom to set their own price. So there's great deals in most places nowadays.

  2. I believe that Richard was also telling us that 'In the near future you will be able to take a CBR250 into selected dealers in Thailand and for a few hundred baht they would be able to programme different fuel maps onto your bike'.

That future wasn't, and isn't, so near at all.

  3. Just put it into Airasia, about 9 flights a day, all at 1,199thb including all taxes and surcharges. BKK-HKT 9th Feb, return 15th Feb, same price.

How much is a taxi from the airport to downtown Patong?

  4. Seems odd, you know:

'ignore Honda press releases so you won't be disappointed.'

'I'm excited about the CRF based on....' Hmmm.

Anyway, should be a great little bike if it's released. Though I think many would be disappointed if they don't see a Honda bike larger than 250cc released in the next year or so, as it would really open up the market.

  5. All of them will come with fuel injection engines and various engine capabilities up to 250cc,

    That's a bit disappointing.

    How is that disappointing?

With AP Honda's press releases about them entering the Big Bike market here, that their Big Bike wing is being prepared to open, that their factory has lines ready to begin production on Big Bikes it's disappointing to see that their official unveiling of 7 new models won't include anything above 250cc.

Um... they "entered" the big bike market last year with the CBR250.

I don't believe you've read the recent AP Honda press release(s), beginning in August 2011.

Perhaps take a look and educated yourself. thumbsup.gif

  6. Which part of:

That would depend on a number of different factors.

    Are you having trouble with?

Please enlighten us simple folks as to the factors you consider to be of utmost priority.

The tourist's wonts and needs are a good start.

    Lets make this easy.

Why don't you give a list of places you would recommend on different factors of your own choice?

Maybe that will get you out of parrot mode?

What am I, a public tour guide? On a Saturday night.

Please, it's not my job to un-blinker people, who will likely steadfastly refuse to be unblinkered. Sorry ye folks find it so offensive, but if ye can't wake up and smell the turds, it's not my job to provide rose scented smelling salts.

  7. Which part of:

That would depend on a number of different factors.

    Are you having trouble with?

I'm afraid people on here seem quite blinkered and defensive, when there's really no need to be. Open your eyes and realise that Phuket is second only to Pattaya as being the Tourist Sewer of Thailand. And it's a really close call, possibly even un-call-able.. :(

That's all. It's not taking anything away from the CRF.

  9. ^^^ Fine mirror stalks to hang the Tesco-Low-tat bags off in fairness.

The CRF does look interesting, if it comes in with the CBR250 engine (more HP than the KLX) and the same price as the CBR. Bet that could be fun in BKK.

  10. That would depend on a number of different factors.

    Priority

Low crime stats, low rate of violence and murdered farang

    Honest tuk tuk/taxi service

tropical palmtree beaches with clear water

a variety of local and international restaurants

    close high quality hospitals

english speaking locals to be found

    top notch night time entertainment

Now, which areas do you recomend over Phuket?

That would depend on a number of different factors.
