Sad as it is, I hope it was a quick and painless death for her, as for him being arrested, doesn't really say much, as he innocent until proven guilty, and here in Thailand from what I read, everyone gets charged before all the evidence is at hand.

Cutting his throat with a box cutter knife, perhaps taking a shave ?

When and if the evidence is in and he is convicted, then hopefully someone in prison will give him a proper shave with a box gutter knife.

    RIP

Jurisprudence should rule over emotional first knee-jerk response in blaming what appears to be the guilty party (meaning, I agree absolutely with your post, good point, well made, etc etc).

  2. I would relocate to a penthouse in Manhattan, where my cats would also have personal litter box trainers and cleaners! But, I'm in Phuket, as you can see I posted in the Phuket forum. I know that places like Chaing Mai are much less expensive than Phuket, but Chaing Mai is a much more spread out city and I am unfamiliar with that city and it's ways. I know that on my budget I could probably get a 7000 baht place elsewhere than in Phuket much easier than in this ever-increasing price range of properties here in Phuket. But, I would need a moving service to replace the cats, I rent a motorbike, it's not that easy.

  3. I don't know where else to post this since it is a bit personal, but since other people who care about animals may have had the same situation occur, perhaps someone out there can give me good recommendations for relocating cats I have been feeding, (one female cat I fed as a kitten turned out to produce  two male babies in the time span of two years) , I have tried to post this information on Facebook on one Phuket "Buy and Sell" group page, and no one has responded. What I need is either a new home in the price range of 7,000 baht per month which will allow outdoor cats to live on a patio space, which is where they sleep, or a place which helps cats and cares about animals to hand these very tame and wonderful cats so they are fed and can be allowed to live in peace and safety. I currently am paying 7000 baht to live in a room, the people who own the room claim that the cats are a nuisance, which they are not (they are very clean, quiet and cause no damage or harm). I am forced to either get rid of the cats or relocate, at my price range this is not so easy. I have not included photos of the cats, but if anyone is interested in taking care of these cats I certainly can with a response ( the male cats, both one year old, are very beautiful white cats,  their fur is a pristine, pure white with a few black spots, very pretty, petite, charming. The mother cat is a multi-colored tabby with short fur, as they all have short fur). I have been feeding these cats for two years and they are used to playing, being held. They are also very intelligent, and understand when I tell them to do things like leave my room (I just say a few sentences, repeating the same thing every time, and they immediately leave, like they are well-trained). So if anyone can give any good information on places where I can move to or places or people who care about well-tended but more wild cats, please let me know.

  4. Isn't there something like a Thai City Hall you and your neighbors can go to with a petition to have them install safety measures? The Thai people are not that "primitive" that they won't accept a petition for pedestrians, and I can't believe there is no recourse for any such avenue of redress of this issue? Perhaps spending time trying to go through some channels and gathering signatures on a petition would be more productive than a "rant" on this forum where people write humorous insults about your age and the "turd" country world living.

  5. Trump/The US is: Trying to pry the gorging, over-fed partner(s) of the EU, who decades after the stabilizing Marshall Plan,   continue to hold hands out, demanding more out of the money vacuum sucking the life and resources out of the US in the never-ending money drain of the post-WWII Marshall Plan. By removing some of the resource drain tentacles of the EU off the host, the US, is helping the slowly-being-killed empire,  the "dying animal", get back on it's feet...

    Sales declining in the US.
The company should take a good look at their product range therefore.
Maybe Americans are wising up to the fact that there are much better bikes out there. .

...like Yamaha and Honda motorbikes and motorcycles. Clean, swift, sleek, inexpensive, and not like booming air plane engines like Harley's make especially when driven in packs and herds of rough riders. Say goodbye to quiet Thailand.

  7. Good for the auto industry, since the working Thais won't be able to have groups of people riding in one van but will have to, instead, purchase more autos so they can not be fined for breaking the law. More autos bought means more productivity for the auto industry, and that's good for the economy all around. More tickets for violation of law means more money for police, in order to enforce more of the laws which implement a more safe and sound Thailand so the people are safe from themselves, with the military ready to protect them from themselves if they complain or protest about these increasing laws forcing them to spend more money than they have. I wonder if the wages will increase accordingly with the rise in laws which will force more Thais to have to buy more autos so they can fit more people into their small vehicles?

  8. If the really "cockoo people out there will send money to the online Nigeria scam scammers out there, why not give money for something that has at least some merit in disproving the obvious lies that people have been told to believe (which spurred an insane war which persists today, which you cockoo people out there are paying for with your taxes to your governments in the increase of "terrorism" spending which the 9/11 disaster provided as impetus for wars galore)? Many architects and experts in demolition have already gone on record to state that the collapse of the towers and the other building #7 are products of demolition, and that an airplane hitting these buildings cannot physically collapse buildings in a demolition type of collapse. How can you armchair lazyboys counter those arguments? As for the Apollo moon landings that you say are point blank stupid conspiracy theories, I have a real video clip which I obtained from YouTube with Stanley Kubrick openly confessing to having made the NASA videos of a faked moon landing which was a hoax handed over to the US public from the US Government.

  9. A threat to the Bush derailment of the American economy does not necessarily mean that this corruption and theft of the economy will cease under Trump, whatsoever. The routes of money are simply going to be rerouted into Trump's big money basket of cronies and international banking friends. The same system applies, just different crooks, that's all. Don't be so easily fooled by simplistic demagoguery.

  10. Adolf Hitler, as in the "Adolf Hitler School for Friendship and Tolerance", was among the most snarky and controversial suggestion.
Calls to name the school after the Führer were the 7th most popular out of the nominations

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/510278/School-Hitler-Trolls-Nazi-Name-Change

Had this happened in Thailand we'd be pages of comments about the failure of Thai education and that a lack of extra-territorial historical awareness was a cultural deficiency.

Yes, it would and rightly so.

I think there must be loads of forums or blogs in the US filled with just that as well now.

However, Texans have a reputation to uphold for ignorance and for being not among the most clever citizens of the US.

Perhaps the school should be appropriately named, for those Texan values mentioned above, The school of the Bush Sr. & Jr. repository of the New World Order Rex Mundi, Inc."

  11. For a Western woman like me in Thailand, it's extremely hard to find women's shoes my size and clothing not meant for tiny women. Otherwise, my experience of living in Thailand as a Western female has merely revealed to me much of what the Western world tries to hide in it's hypocrisy (i.e. sex tourism, which I think can translate to human trafficking resulting from poverty, etc) so I have come to realize that people are very much the same everywhere, merging in cultural values more and more as the world unites in the trade pacts and partnerships of commerce which creates a fusion of East-West culture. I have seen this more and more in Phuket and it's provided me with a glimpse of an imminent trend in world unification in cultural value. If people are not "the same", they will soon become much more "the same" as cultures merge and fuse in the financial implementation of Western economic integration that has swept over SE Asia and will immerse Asia in Western economic values. Thai females want to be more Western, and I find that Asian females I encounter want to be as Western as possible so I see less and less of the Thai culture as time passes. As for the experience of being a Western female amongst all the vices mentioned in the original post, as I wrote above, this has only allowed me to glimpse what happens in my own country but it's put in an open and visible way here in Thailand (without "shame" or being hidden). I find many Western women who come here glad to see poor women disenfranchised and put into prostitution and although that will offend many people, it's another hypocritical reality I believe is part of the Western underlying paradigm but hidden under "feminism" or other pretenses. I do not try to offend anyone but the situation as I have seen it is offensive, yet I realize it's pervasive and worldwide.

  12. I am undoubtedly a minority in this opinion, but I believe the "bad" ex-pats are those who come to Thailand to build, build and build more and more condos, hotels, high-rises, pouring cement over the beautiful nature of Thailand, making real estate prices double, or triple in another real estate bubble which is sure to come, with nature being squashed by this encroachment upon plants, animals, habitats, and all the like that comes with "development', which people of all races, countries and belief systems embrace because the never-ending quest for profit rules over nature. Thailand is a sort of nature paradise and I am sad to see the same mentality that has become a legacy of endangered species and destruction of natural areas becoming the target of developers to pour down another shopping mall or condo or boutique or something essentially unnecessary, but deemed "essential" for the economy of Thailand, with everything soon to be shiny, new and renovated, prices up and up, flowers, butterflies and animals beware and the beautiful nature manicured into lots. How many decades of this "hip" development will it take for Thailand to become plastered over and made into an artificial cement paradise with species dying off? These are the ex-pats that I think are the "bad" ones, who should be discouraged from coming to Thailand to make a fortune off development, but these are the ones deemed the most precious and worthy of the most respect.

  13. I find the worst danger is from the dirt, sand and grime and potholes which cause great risk. I live in Phuket, so the sand seems to drift from the beaches to the roads which are far away from the beach areas, yet this is a danger that could cost lives. Road maintenance should be a high priority and if cleaned up and the pothole and unevenly paved roads with the rifts in the pavement were smoothed over, the danger would be much reduced and probably many lives spared. This should be a priority. If people can offer food to Buddhist monks very morning, perhaps they can also sweep the road in front of their dwellings to help the nation and the national interest. In Germany there is something called "Kehrwoche", where neighbors take turns sweeping sidewalks in front of their houses, and if need be, the roads (but the German state performs this task, probably at huge taxpayer cost). Thai people want that tourist money, perhaps they should consider making a nationwide effort to have people clean the streets if the State cannot afford to routinely clean these dangerous and grime/sand/grit laden streets and roads.

  14. Sure he understands, since he probably formulated the ground organizational structure and theme for the coup in the first place, all going according to schedule as planned and mapped out long ago, but what he can't understand is why he can or should understand what is not understandable to those who read the newspapers and believe what they are told to understand about what appears to be incomprehensible organized chaos. Who can understand this conundrum of incomparable discrepancies of understanding.

  15. Typical high quality Phuket tourist.

Yes indeed, the "high quality" thieves use money laundering or bribes or "white collar" crime methods to obtain much more than a mere $350 cash grab. Unfortunately, those "higher quality" thieves are probably the people you associate with "class and style" because they can afford nice shirts and clothing to cover their tattoos or scars.
