I would like to know how the scammer got a copy from your ATM card and the pin code. In Germany the Eastern Europeans from Romania or Bulagria, they put a fake board with a keypad over the original keypad from the atm.
They install a small cam which is monitoring and recording the pin code when you enter it. The fake board is using a card reader.
My advice is when you come to an ATM. Try to move the board with the keypad, if you can move it walk away and call the police. The scammer is comning back and take the board and the cam. So the police can wait for him.

she used too much correction fluid (on the ticket)...
Why do you think she is guilty? I belive in her story and we know there are a lot of scammers who are selling fake ticktes.

You guys write always, " do not use a TUk TUK in Phuket..."
Now this is the end of the story.
-
Thanks for all answers.
I am guessing the major thing or defintion would be "you work in Thailand when you get paid inside the country"
I am not a maniac, here another true story. This is real life.
In March 2013 David Carlos Santana came to Bangkok. He made a big show. He came to Thailand with his stuff about 20 people.
Background singers, dancers, the guy who ajust his guitars 90 minutes before the show was starting, one guy was responsible for the stage,
he came one week before. He gave orders and advices, where to put the lights, where to put the speakers and so on.
All this guys were working and public. Do they had a WP? No!
Why not?

There must be a clear definition for "ilegal work in Thailand"
A is paying tax in UK his business break down without his advices. What shall he do now? He has one week from his holidays left. Shall he book a return flight tomorrow? He don´t want to break the law of Thailand?
B is a lucky man. He mustn´t pay any Tax. Only if he staying more than 180 days a year in his home country.

I heard many times, you can not work in Thailand w/o work permit. In my home country it is exactly the same.
Here some examples:
A: My friend is here in Thailand for holidays (3 weeks) with his family. He is the owner/director from a European company. The company
is registered in UK, All taxes and VAT are going to the UK goverment.
Two times a day in the morning 90 minutes and in the evening 90 minutes, he is working via Remote and do some important things
for his company in UK. Sometimes he is getting phone calls via Skype from his secratary and he gives important advices.
In other words he is working in Thailand.
B: Another friend runs an offshore company in a tax haven country, British Virgin Islands. He runs some websites and he is selling electronic goods.
He is staying in Thailand with a retired visa. Two hours a day he is checking his emails and he gives support to his customers.
Every month he is sending 80000 Baht from his comany bank account BVI to Siam bank in Thailand.
He needs the money for live here in Thailand.
C: My best friend has is own website which is a non commercial site. 5 hours a week he is WORKING on his own website. He update the content
and pictures.
Are all this three guys working ilegal in Thailand?

I did this last week. I have 6 month triple entry visa and I got another 60 days.
The Burmese immigration were well friendlyThat´s right. But the Burmese people which are selling cigaretts at the market are very bad people. They push and force you to buy. In the end I guess you don´t know hat you are getting.

Caller ID Name : what is this? same as username?
Put any number in it. Usually you can verify your phone number, lets say mobile number with voipstunt, if you have verifyed the number, you can add your real phone number. In this case
voipstunt will send your caller ID.
SIP-server : sip.voipstunt.com Do I need to enter this anywhere in Zoiper?
This is the SIP Domain: sip.voipstunt.com no Stunserver needed
Here a screenshoot for you. With a MAC it should be the same.
You make a big deal with that, it is very easy to configure it out.
Cheers

Here a link for Zoiper incl. Mac version, easy to configure for voipstunt http://www.zoiper.co...wnload_list.php
Or in case you have an iphone, choose http://www.wi-fone.org As well you can send SMS with Wifone together with Voipstunt, I guess it is pre configured
In case of problems with the config come back

And all this clients are using fiber optic cables? What about a speedtest? What about a Speedtest?
Got my Internet for a week ago. I am using TOT with a copper cable. I am having 6MB /0.512 MB from TOT. The download speed is not more as 3 MB, it seems stable at the moment.
I was living in Duabi for 7 years, this Internet was a mess, like a third world country!!!! Was paying for 1MB/0.256MB 50 Euro, I am not spolied and happy with the TOT Internet and service.
Just wait for the rain now and see whats goining on with my internet.
I was thinking for an upgrade to fiber optic cable.

Long Overstay... What's the deal?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

The 20k Baht rule is true. I have in my mind this is too easy pay 20k and come back. The goverment should change the rules and ban people for an overstay of xx days.
From what are this people living if they have no money to make a proper Visa?
