Here is why Sanders will not win the Presidency. He supports Cuba. He has to win Florida to win the White House He has <deleted> off all the Cuban Americans in Florida along with Hispanics across the the United States. They are not going to vote for him.
On top of that You absolutely need the independents to win. The vast majority of them are middle of the road Sanders cannot win their vote.
You also have to consider middle of the road Democrats They hate is policies. He is doomed at a very bad choice if he gets the nomination

and you should NEVER rely of any government when it comes to your own personal survival.
take responsibility for yourself and educate yourself about THIS virus and what happens globally during a pandemic and what that means to you and take the steps you are comfortable with.
and I hope everyone is beginning to understand the magnitude of what is happening WORLD WIDE.
It does not matter if you live in a plastic bubble you are going to be affected by this virus.
Wait for stories about Tesco Lotus, Makro, Big C or 7 Eleven distribution centers closing due to the virus.
Disruptions with "just in time" delivery systems and trucks. Shortages of imported items. Today it is masks and hand sanitizer, tomorrow food and water.
Hospital staff are being quarantined. How long until hospitals are overwhelmed because their best staff are not present?
Already many here having to make the decision if they should stay in Thailand or go home, before the decision is made for them.
Good luck everybody.
I can see your cup is half empty

I believe 20% of what they are saying. Pollution was bad to begin with The wild fires only exacerbate it It is still bad. It effects the people and the Thai economy as well as tourism. The authorities love to blame but do little do resolve it

As they are allowed to transit through the country, why not let them dock here in the first place?
Thai thinking "illogical"

And the Government will go back to a status quo because the problem for now is abated. The government has not backbone to solve this problem They will just pass it on year after year SO SAD
-
I am reading this story and it seems the government is blaming the private sector for the number or tourists coming.
The Thai baht plays little if anything on a travelers decision if it is within a 10% range The real reason is the smog No one
wants to go to a smog filled venue. Its time the government took strong action against smog by passing some serious legislation with regard to this issue. Otherwise the cleaner venues will win out big time Yes environment is a big issue with travelers
After all if they can ban plastic bags so fast then Smog should not be a real issue because it results in sickness and lost
productivity
-
Why don't you set up a panel to see how pollution can be improved. I just had a friend who said he was going to come to Bangkok I told him not to bother because the pollution is bad Maybe he will come someone next year and maybe not
Bottom line is this pollution is hurting tourism and people breathing Without clean air productivity drops

If this source knew who the killer was according to this post He would already be in custody. This is pure speculation Nothing more

Well I can with certainty say it was not a grouper that bit him. Other than a crazed lamprey it must have been a shark

I have a great idea Start banning Diesel engines. Tell automakers first they cannot sell anymore diesel cars. Give the trucking industry 5 years to come up with a solution and implement it Tell the private sector they have 5 years to switch over to petrol or electric or face ban within city limits

So true. I watch as the Thai's have been increasingly more rude, some even arrogant. The attitude of some of the Thai girls is, that their you know what doesn't stink, and every western farang wants them...
Then throw in that they openly ridicule us in Thai, think we are stupid, and can only think about how much money they can get from us... I was in 7-11 last week when two very pretty, very sexy, European women walked in, and the Thai girls working there immediately started looking at each other giggling, making quiet comments in Thai. After the two politely made their purchase, and walked out, the Thai girls started laughing out loud saying all kind of things in Thai. The 7-11 is next to LK Royal Suite on Soi Buakhao. The two European women quietly walked in, got what they wanted and left.
I think the Thai gov't and the Thai people have become so comfortable in thinking that we will always be here spending the most money, that they are seemingly willing to bite the hand that feeds them....
Yes, this is not all Thais, but then numbers just seem to keep growing..
Lets be honest, the Thai's have brought this upon themselves.
While I agree with these three reasons I have to weigh in on this They have also scared away a lot of retirees and treated them badly 1000s have left and more will The shot themselves in the foot with this one No foresight at all on it

This has a lot to do with the hard line Thais have taken on Retirees. I am not going to go into detail
but they have moved on since Thailand does not want them This is part of the result you get
It is not going to improve unless you make it easier for retirees They have money and they will spend it but find far more hospitable countries that are happy to have them

You would need to setup a Thai Company, 2 million baht capitol, 4 Thai employees (pay tax and social security) etc. That company would employ you and get you a work permit.
Married visa allows you to work with a WP
Your wrong IF you are married to a Thai then you only need to Thai employees That is the law

Golf Quarantine! Thai authorities hit on a new idea to promote tourism

Here is good idea. Create a new visa for digital nomads. Then set a minimum monthly tax while they are here.
You then get more tax money and of course what they spend daily.
Imagine the big revenue you will get
But no you will not do this because it is logical
