Chanya Clinic, not far from the Mach Chanu statue, near late night burger stand.
Thanks much! Excellent service , motorbike and car forms filled in 10 minutes, 150 THB each. Blood pressure was taken, nothing else but funny questions. It was a breeze and receptionist had a nice smile too.

At a clinic at Jomtien...
I did pay a visit to 2 clinics in Jomtien this week and none of them got the new forms yet.
Could you post the name of that clinic please?

...There are no dates on the re-entry permit stamp other than the issue and expiration date.
I assume the expiration date matches the Valid until stamp in one’s passport ?

You said end of second year but O-A visa is only valid for one year so you no longer have a valid visa so what it says means nothing - you will require a re-entry permit to keep your current permitted to stay alive
Loud and clear. Thanks

If you have seasoned money in the bank, and have a re-entry permit, you could return around 10 October 2018 (ensuring you put the re-entry permit number where the visa number usually goes). The immigration official will likely ask you if you just want to be stamped in until 14 October, rather than being given a 30-day visa exempt entry. Explain that you plan to apply immediately for a one-year extension. You then get the necessary letter form the bank, and updated bank book, and go to immigration for the extension.
We're getting there... :-) My O-A has the multiple entry option, re-entry permit mandatory then?

You have a number of options. If they issue them, I would suggest a single entry Non O visa from your home country as the easiest solution. Entering in November 2018, this will give a permission to stay until February 2019. Around January 2019, you then extend for a further year until February 2020. This should then have you conveniently placed for future winters, should Thailand still be your preferred annual cold weather bolt hole.
If the above does not work, a new Non O-A is an obvious alternative. You can get the health check done quickly and cheaply in Thailand before you leave if you do not mind applying for the Non O-A visa a little early.
It is also possible to enter as a tourist, and apply for the Non O visa in Thailand via a process called conversion. It is a bit messy, so consider the two options above first.
What happens then if I re-enter Thailand a few days before my admitted until 14 Oct 2018 ?
How many days will I get upon arrival to settle the 1 year extension if that is an option ?
By the way OJAS I am Canadian as the OP.

Departing April 14th. 2018.
My Immigration office is Chonburi/Jomtien.

My O-A 2nd year permission to stay will expire 14 Oct. 2018 but I will not be able to return to Thailand by then (only 1 month later).
Will a re-entry permit allow me to engage the 1st year extension of stay application in late Nov. 2018?
I can have the 800k in the bank at any time from now on.
If this is not an option, can I apply this Winter as soon as the 60 day seasoning is done?
Many thanks for your help.

And of course, if you wish to leave the country and re-enter after your initial year is finished while keeping your remaining year on your o-a multi entry visa valid, you will need to purchase a re-entry permit.
Thank you all for the heads up.

Don't be fooled. "Departure card" is filled before ENTERING the country.
Your current departure card is handed over when departing.
Nothing specific to check on departure (just the DEPARTED stamp).
Yes indeed, I should have known better. Thanks for your reminder.

Previous post says it all.
Two mates and I myself have done this procedure in 2010/2011.
Usual advice as always:
make sure that you correctly fill the departure card with the visa number before going to the checkpoint.
Point to the visa page.
Check the stamp (1 year?) immediately after the checkpoint and complain to a superior if anything wrong.
I will make sure to double check your precious advice upon departure. Thanks for stressing those points.

- Your concerns on this are groundless. You are using the visa in an entirely appropriate manner.
- Correct.
- You will be applying for the extension in early October 2018. As this will be your first extension, the money will need to have been in the Thai bank account for two months (since early August 2018).
You made my day sir! Thank you very much, I almost had my hand on the wallet, ready to buy re-entry permit whilst 90 day reporting tomorrow morn at Chonburi.

Hi all,
The CAD/THB is almost at its lowest in the last 10 years and I want to maximize the validity of my visa to hopefully get a better opportunity before seasoning the dough.
As I am still on the 1st year (O-A visa expires 17 Oct 2017) I plan to re-enter Thailand on Oct the 15th.
- In theory no re-entry permit would be required but do I risk some interpretation by the Imm officer seeing this as a trick to avoid buying a new O-A visa, a re-entry permit or anything that comes to his/her mind and denies me entry next Fall ?
- With a new stamp on 15 Oct 2017 I just have to keep going with my 90 day reports, no need for border runs ?
- Based on that scenario, by what time will I have to get the 800k THB in my Thai bank (seasoning time included) before applying for my 1st extension of stay ?
Sorry if that was asked before but a search through some 1200 forum pages returned 0 answer...

GMajor. Would be greatly appreciated for a update.
I can not think of a more straight forward procedure reporting for the first time at Chonburi-Jomtien Immigration .
I went to the Info desk with my Canadian passport and departure card in hand and asked what should I need to report properly.
Officer had a quick look at my O-A visa and handed me a TM-47 form to fill. I got a queue number upon completion and then forced my way to counter #4 (the room was packed indeed).
One gentleman was busy reporting with IO and I was amazed to realize I was next in line at 1:30 PM...
But for greetings not a word was exchanged during the 2 minute paperwork.
She made it so snappy I plainly forgot to ask her what was their CNY holiday schedule next week (as no signs I could see were posted on the premises).
Has anyone used the Chon Buri Immigration App to apply for an extension?

Useless link, can't find any IOS app by this name unfortunately.
Otherwise, sure hit with GooglePlay if you're an Android user.
