  1. After 10 years of beseeching it seems obvious he is, for whatever reason, unwilling. Hopefully I can find enough "specialist advice" here. I see no reason why the common man cannot accomplish what a lawyer can. At least I'll attempt to do so.
  2. 400,000 baht is a non-starter, LOL. She does not have that kind of money. The mum's child was also born out of wedlock. Considering the 2006 rules change that at least would appear to be in her favour. I would think that a provision must exist for an avenue in the case of the father being deceased, for instance.
  3. So much seems to be conditional and the term "might" is used extensively. It's difficult to ascertain definitively whether or not she's automatically a UK citizen given her circumstances. The closest I could come to a definitive answer was found here: You were born on or after 1 July 200You’re automatically a British citizen if you were born outside the UK and all of the following apply: you were born on or after 1 July 2006 your mother or father was a British citizen when you were born your British parent could pass on their citizenship to you https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-british-parent/born-on-or-after-1-july-2006
  4. The girl was born in Thailand. I doubt the father registered her at the UK embassy. The mum has been trying to get him to obtain a passport for his daughter for 10 years without success. I do have information on the father but have not looked at it in a few years as I left it up to the father to do his fatherly duty. I'll revisit what information is available. Thanks.
  5. My thoughts exactly. I have read that the father is not needed for a UK passport application on behalf of his child. I have to say, too, that the UK.gov site is horrendous to navigate and decipher. It would be much more helpful to allow someone to enter information into a site that's designed to then whittle down what's applicable given the situation. If I can apply for the UK passport on her behalf I will certainly do that.
  6. The mum did recently contact a Thai lawyer who works both in the UK and Thailand but he wants 400,000 baht - the UK price, not the Thai price - for his services. Outrageous. I would think that this task involves mere paperwork and nothing else.
  7. If the case is that he's deceased would it be possible to obtain from the relevant UK authority? I'll have to check, too, with the mum to see if she might have a copy of it if he declared her as his own at her birth.
  8. I'm attempting to help a Thai woman obtain a UK passport for her child who was fathered by a Brit with other than by decent status. The child was born in 2012. From my understanding she (the child) has automatic UK citizenship, in which applying for a passport would necessitate only the required information proving her to be a UK citizen. Her father has put this off for 10 years and his whereabouts are now unknown. His Thai phone is no longer in service and his business email comes up as "no longer a service provider." For all we know he could have passed as he was 61 when his daughter was born. He has had medical issues for some time. Perhaps, too, he returned to the UK in order to access medical services there? Anyone here have experience with this? Since I'm an English speaker I'm just trying to help this girl on her behalf. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Okay, you can't produce any information about any investigation allegedly done by Barr & the DOJ. You just take their word for it. But any real documented evidence of election fraud gets dismissed. Makes sense only if you goal seek but not if the objective is to know the truth.
  10. There have been instances of parents reading from some of the books at school board meetings and the pictures and language were so graphic that the school board members wouldn't allow the parents to continue reading. Where have you been, Chomper? Or do you agree that these books belong in schools for children as young as 6. A time in their lives were the are most prone to influence without understanding that influence. Would you be in favour of having any of this material read to your kids at that young age? https://duckduckgo.com/?q=sexual+books+in+school&atb=v314-1&iax=images&ia=images
  11. No retribution but there certainly needs to be accountability. If there's no consequence for criminal activity then it will just continue. MAGA candidates are focused on making sure accountability happens.
  12. Disputing Trump, Barr says no widespread election fraud Disputing Trump, Barr says no widespread election fraud WASHINGTON (AP) — Disputing President Donald Trump’s persistent, baseless claims, Attorney General William Barr declared Tuesday the U.S. Justice Department has uncovered no evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 election. Barr’s comments, in an interview with the The Associated Press, contradict the concerted effort by Trump, his boss, to subvert the results of last month’s voting and block President-elect Joe Biden from taking his place in the White House. Barr told the AP that U.S. attorneys and FBI agents have been working to follow up specific complaints and information they’ve received, but “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.” https://apnews.com/article/barr-no-widespread-election-fraud-b1f1488796c9a98c4b1a9061a6c7f49d Again, what investigations? Other than Barr claiming what he's claiming in general he provided no evidence of any of the investigations or their details to my knowledge. People can say anything they want as long as they know they don't have to back it up.
  13. History will be in the making this midterm sending a strong rejection to the Dems. The important quote from the article: "Moylan is the second Republican elected to the post since Congress created it in 1972."
  14. Sorry, but Barr and the DOJ did no such thing. Do you have links to any of their investigations?
  15. If only one viewpoint of an issue is allowed then that's hardly reputable. Nor is it unbiased. Truth becomes whatever one side determines it to be. If that's what you accept then that's what I reject.
  16. No, it has nothing to do with inflation, falling wages, millions of illegals flowing over the border, child sexual exploitation in schools, indoctrination in schools via CRT, crime, high energy costs, mandated vaccinations . . . The only reason anyone supports Trump is due to the fact that they're a poor, stupid 'mark' who doesn't think for themselves, is easily swayed and fooled, and is overcome by mere blind adoration. I think you're about to find out how wrong your analysis is.
  17. People are getting soooo tired of those who make never ending claims of every type that their personal interpretations and their personal feelings should be everyone's truth. Then explain all of those people who do not feel that it infringes, harasses or intimidates. I myself would feel reassured and be grateful of their presence.
  18. After the past two years of promoting 'election denial' it would be too much of a stretch for the Dems to then become 'election deniers' themselves. They've eliminated that as an excuse for a potential blowout loss in the midterms. On the other hand, I believe there will be some major Congressional investigations into what really happened in 2020. In the end it may not be the BIG LIE. We'll wait and see on that one.
  19. The Dems have chosen the wrong issue sets to run on the midterms. Voters have much more pressing concerns than climate change. What they 'value most' is their economic survival amongst a long, long list of other concerns.
  20. If they're ensuring that ballots dropped are legal then sure they're preventing illegal ballots from being cast. What's your problem with that? As far as people feeling uncomfortable with police presence that's a canard if the police are there only to ensure that the law is being followed.
  21. IMO the mention of guns and tasers is included to hype up the 'voter suppression' narrative.
  22. I'm no Musk fan and couldn't care less what his opinions are. His opinions are worth as much as anyone else's. But I do agree with him on this.
  23. I'm hearing that it's going to be a blowout. And if it is then that would be a huge judgement of Biden and the Democrats. Rejection due solely because of their disastrous policies, to put it politely.
  24. Why object to police ensuring that ballots are legal before they're dropped? Who wouldn't want that to ensure a fair election? Or are you saying you prefer illegal ballots being dropped and counted?
  25. Are Democrats going to use 'voter suppression' and blame new election laws to not accept the election results if massive numbers of Democrats lose? Wouldn't that be election denial? It certainly wouldn't be because a majority of voters are sick and tired of what Joe Biden and Democrats (along with never-Trump Republicans and establishment Republicans) have done to the country?
