  1. Don't you all understand that the TARGET of this govt is to fail everything and as deep as they could?

When this govt reaches the very deeps of their fails - then ppl would come to the streets again, and cry for a better one (deja vu, yes)...

And then our Mr.T will step in with his "Im The One to save this country - when I was in the position, there was NO such of things!!!" (and there will be no one left to oppose him at that time - as there was noone to oppose him at last elections....)

And people will believe. Yes, of course - do they have any choice (except buying AK47 instead of khao lao, of course)

Don't you all ever think that everything is EXACTY as planned? Dont you all ever play chess and spare a Queen to win the whole battle in just 1-2-3 next steps?

As much as I do not like what the PTP is doing, I am sure they are not planning on things to go this bad.

However, after 6 years living here I can confirm that this is the reason my job here will always be safe and needed by westerners.

Some things here are just not imbedded into their culture other than WEALTH, IMAGE, FACE.

  2. The tourists that are in phuket for the temples and food would not encounter volunteer cops. so the sex and booze industry keeps the harry callahans 'employed'

    You don't know shit......

Bangla road is full of families and all sorts of walks every night. It is not a bad place if you are not looking for a bad time.

And b y the way it's not the best place for the best girls, It's just another tourist attraction.

  3. i think the frogs played their final last week against England,

so pleasing to see Wales come through and win so well last weekend, so Im going for Wales by 7

obviously Im backing Black, pressure cooker stuff, everything will be thrown in for this game, it was supposed to be the grand final show down but Ireland changed that.

Who knows whos gonna win, look at last week, the Boks had possession, territory, lineouts and scrumming all in their favour and they lost....go figure. ABs by 3

    It's called talent bruv

let the other team work hard, but you win. Brains, not beef.

  5. I must say I have seen some great display of coming together and effort from the Thai people inj my neighborhood.

I have also seen some amazing display of feeding from the situation and making money any way possible.

True anarchy rules this situation, as it shows nobody has a clue.

  6. I suspect that there's a lot more breaking down barriers than is being reported. The PM mentioned it several times in her speech the other day.

People who have been submerged for weeks are getting to be very resentful of their neighbors who are still dry and protected, so they are knocking down the barriers that keep the water on their land.:ermm:

Yea there are two sides to the coin. But flooding others will only mean that the relief when it comes will cost more and take longer.

But people are resenting the PM for protecting BKK, will cost her votes.

will cost her votes. I woudn't count on it. Denizens of the realm have notoriously short memories. 'TIT'

    Pity though,

The farmers who voted now suffer, I do not think the populist policies will go through, the rice scheme,,, Hmmmm let's see what happens after the floods have cleared. People in my area that voted are all starting to comment how they now think she is no better than the democrats for not caring about anyone else and why didn't they manage the water earlier???

Some scars heal quick and others don't

  7. I live in the Bang Yai district i hope it wont get much worse. It is getting harder and harder to get out of the village. There still are no real great problems but if water keeps flowing there might be in a week or so.

6 km down from Bang Yai city in my area many of the older estates are over 1 foot deep. the road is still passable only at 5cm deep, but with this rain and more to come I think all of the areas we stay can expect a drink.

Did they sandbag your village ? Here they sandbagged it and put pumps ready. So far no problem we are one of the estates that are higher then average. Never been a flooding here. But the fact the dams broke + more water to come worries me. Still i think (keeping possitive) that there will be a foot of water in the streets and that is it. (hopefully)

They got the pumps going. Our village is also higher than others as its not 100% finished yet and was built on higher ground than the others. At the moment only water from rain. Got a little concrete wall outside my living room and sandbags on the ready but its the getting in and out of the street that is the worry. I work in BKK and travel 30km to work daily by car. Tomorrow going to leave the car at work as bought new last 2 weeks and do the taxi thing until it gets a bit much.

  9. I live in nonthaburi only to be woken up with to be told that they are closing the village. No cars can go out anymore. So the wife drove (20 min ago) the car out to a friend who owns a condo with high parking.

So i decided to move the fridge alone up the steps. I can tell you that is heavy and not easy to do. I was under the impression we were about to flood. (wasnt thinking clear still half sleepy). Damaged it a lil (not too much).

But still no signs of water in the village.

Where in Nonthaburi are you? I am in Soi Watprangeun about 3km towards Bang Yai from Tesco and our village has only water from rain, but they are not doing a good job of pumping it out.

Last year they built up the road about 80cm higher and now the water outside the village is just on level with the road.

Got the sandbags ready but it will need to go up atleast another metre+ to reach.

  10. PM demands 10 provinces to submit comprehensive flood measures by 6 pm

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Sunday demanded the governors of ten provinces currently under severe flooding situation to come up with comprehensive measures for dealing with the situation by 6 pm.

The prime minister took charge of a meeting at the National Flood Relief Centre at the Don Mueang Airport.

The prime minister ordered the provincial administrations of Uthai Thani, Chainat, Lop Buri, Singburi, Angthong, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Sawan, Chachoengsao, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi to appoint a person to be in charge of flood relief measures and the per cent must coordinate all the measures and operations.

The provincial administrations must come up with a plan by 6 pm whether the provinces need to evacuate people from flooded areas or to prevent flooding of certain zones, she said.

The centre will consider the plans of the provinces during its 6 pm meeting.

    She has SPOKEN!

Exactly, A puppet can only do what it's told. But when the puppet master does not care or control then the puppet can only talk s*&t. This is not a BUSINESS LOVE, THIS IS A COUNTRY

  11. Another display of a bad government appointed as a result of savages roaming the streets and ruining Bangkok. These floods will do less long term damage to the country than the red shirt oppression did. Some of the tourism industry is still struggling and many have lost jobs and businesses in the "HOLY BKK AREA" THAN THESE FLOODS WILL CREATE

  12. Its amazing. The Shitnawatra regime gets all the farmers to vote for them and then lets them suffer whilst all the Bangkok residents are bone dry. A great management system dedicated to rip off the poor with false hopes, while the rich stay clean and dry.

I hope the farmers now all realise that its all about number 1 and nobody else. Pardon me while i go to look for sand bags as everybody is out of stock.

  13. I have one place I got mine all done in Phuket.

    Kebsup Studio.

Thai girl and South African guy.

They are true artists, use top quality colors and machines.

I got my leg done from eel to knee cap in a futuristic metallic design 4 years ago and still looks like new.

    All shading and colors perfect.

Not the cheapest but all the other shopes in Phuket are shit.

Many people fly in specially for a tat and not for the actual island so beware of long waiting lists.
