I don't understand all the commotion here, The police has very strong case !, 2 people killed, the closes-ed burma people there were 3 boys sitting on the beach singing songs of their country and smoke cigarettes !!!!, so it must be them, guilty as hell !

Take their cigarette butts, make them clear they have to confess, let them point to the place the murder happen with 200 policemen behind them.

Seems a bit odd that the 2 accused withdraw their confessions and then police say they think they might commit suicide - even though police said about suicide first ( maybe they already knew confessions had been withdrawn ) Get them in isolation ASAP and on cctv 24/7

suppose you have thaifood in your restaurant in your country, and you serve the curry first, and 30 min later the rice. or drinks first and you wait till drink finish before serve food ... I am sure the thai customers will not feel happy too and some will ask/complain too

For a westerner it devaluate the food if they have to eat the food cold, especially Fr.f witch are really mai arroi if you eat them cold. Ever eaten a cold box of Fr.F on a local market that have been fried 1 hour ago ?

If they have a restaurant , and want happy customers, its not a big effort to learn these small adjustments ..

- don't ask the order after you handed over the menu 5 sec ago but wait till they call you or seems finish looking

- bring the food if its ready for everyone on the table

- fr.f and rice put on the dish at last

- separate appetizer and main

- don't grab dishes and stuff away from the table if people still eating

just 5 small behavior points a boss can tell his staff to put attention too, and will it will make them enjoy the restaurant and food more

very easy to calm this all down and clear it up. If thai police is correct, let them openly welcome Uk investigators to recheck the case if they have nothing to hide.

something I don't understand .. If I had killed these 2 people and a whole police team is searching for the killer with DNA tests ..and especially try to frame foreigners, I would not been on that island anymore after 10 days, but try to get home as quickly as possible.

In Bangkok this drive would cost 200 B + 50 B for airport ... 250 --> 600 thats 2.4 x the price in Bangkok... WHY ????

This guy is 22 years old, did something very wrong, maybe under influence of drugs, (and I'm not sure I understand good, didn't confess) ...

its not the first time in the world someone get the death penalty being innocent.

Everyone can do something wrong, (the one that never did , raise his hand), everyone should have a second chance .. if he sit in a thai prison for 20 year .. I think he will well clearly been punished for his mistake.

further on .. I hope we live in a civilized society, A bad and sad think happen, a court valuate and punish that person, and we must hope we(and he) all learn out of it.

Lets all try to be civilized , let that judge make the right decision, and let not lower our selfs .. I hope I am not the only one with this opinion.

In my opinion, they had a great opportunity, as it happened on a small island. If I was the killer, I would get off the island as quickly as possible, especially if they start dna investigation.

More then 4000 burmese on the island, ok, but everyone that work there and have nothing to do with it will not try to escape. so if they would have controlled very well everyone leaving the island immediately the days after .... would have a record of Burmese that wants to leave, tourist that are suspicious/non suspicious .. locals that leave for what reason ?

these were maybe more possible dna samples then anyone on the island.

the search can also be narrowed to men .. age .. smoker (maybe brand) .. alibi of the people still on the island.

also distance of the crime scene, I don't think a rapper will bring his hoe from the other side of the island (without witnesses) the hoe should come from nearby ..

Read the article, they say ALL of the beaches are now cleaned (this being the last) including Nai thon and Nai Yang.

Perhaps you don't even live in Thailand, but if you do take a drive to Nai Thon beach and have a look. The poor punters have been cleared off the beach, but the rich (bangkok owned) mega resorts are untouched. Have a look at the Pullman resort at the North end of the beach, they are trading on with total impunity, in fact they are still carrying further building works as I type. Have a look at the environmental disaster at the southern end of the beach on the mountainside, where just a few months back a half dozen bulldozers and hundreds of Burmese day labourers showed up and clear felled a whole mountainside of National Park...and NO ONE stopped them. Now on that same mountainside there is a collection of shockingly substandard cement structure which breach both the local height codes and slope codes. You will also notice that they have accelerated their building activity in the last few weeks. Oh and lets not forget White haven beach that tuned a public beach into a private enclave, or Trisara that did the same.

And that is just Nai Thon.

First, It is none of the USA's business. Uganda is a Sovereign Nation and has a right to establish their own laws. I dare say Uganda may not approve of some of the USA Laws, so be it.

Imagen , Thailand comes with a law, that everyone that have feelings or relationship with someone of another culture or race, should be informed to the police, so they can catch (you and your wife ?) to put in prison for the rest of your lives, being tortured, humiliated, or killed. also for all your farang friends.

I was sort of hoping for a quality relationship without having to go elsewhere for sex. Yes, I thought about if some earlier issues caused her lack of desire but she couldn't think of anything at all. She said that she has never had a sexual thought or even dreamed or fantasized about sex at any time in her life. She says she has sex to make her partner happy but if she could choose, she would never want to have sex as she is simply uninterested in it.

You think you meet the perfect Thai girl who is beautiful, hardworking and a great sense of humour and then you are faced with this. A complete dead fish in bed, zero initiation, no sounds and no movement. Honestly, a 500 baht special is more satisfying than her yet you look at someone so beautiful and can't help hoping that there is a switch to make her normal.

I never understood peoples behavior about sex or thinking about it .. hoped to find the answer here, I somehow got bounced between shocking answers and truthful ones ..

first of all I was thinking that people choose to live together, marry, because they like each other in many ways, have same interests, feeling good to be with each other, missing each other if not there, doing sharing things together... Also like how the other looks like and turn these feelings into touching holding kissing and sex.

Wondering why some people put the sex part in there relation so important, I now get shocked to hear how many people talk about there "love" ones like the only reason why they have a wife is to have something to give a good f*** , no matter the thing can speak, clean, read a book, have a story to tell... The perfect partner is a rabbit with some extra points if she can cook and clean., if not, trow her in the street .

Some people talk about sex like it is the most wonderful thing in the world, it must be that there are different levels of experience about sex, (just like some people like football very much or drinking wine, and others less or don't) but for me sex is like watching a movie. sometimes can enjoy a lot, sometimes good, sometimes boring .. but finally we get bored after a while to watch the same movie again and again and again, sometimes we like to see another movie ...

For me I can not understand how people still can enjoy sex twice a week with the same partner for 30 years .. and talking about still having QUALITY sex, and MIND BLOWING sex every time a BIG O, but I must be one of the lower levels .. and before these mind blowers start pointing me as a sad guy .. its clear in many other replies that I am not an exception.

So to answer the initial question, there is no 1 rule, people have different level in enjoying sex. If your relationship is based on true love for the partner, then you accept that, same as you have to accept that your partner not like something else, or can not do something because of sickness. If your relationship is based on buying a f***machine and maid doll, then you kick her out , and buy another one.

If your love is true, but the sexual appetite quit different, it would not be a threat to the relationship, if a partner goes watch a movie with someone else in occasion, same like you let your wife go shopping with someone else, because you don't like it. (and yes some thai woman think this way too)

Making a big drama of that, or forbid it (and still do it behind the back) is more a threat to the relationship. than accept each others needs.. Your love one is not your possession, but your goal to make him/her happy.

Hi , I am driving motorbike on phuket almost 10 years, and I see many wrong things. A few time I count on the road every time i see a mistake .. well it was always an average of 1 per 2 min

most dangerous things :

1. bad, unprofessional driving of cars, especially turning without looking left and right behind first (who gave them licences ? totally different in bangkok, driving good)

2. Motorbikes that don't stay left side of the road, I recommend more a separate lane where the should stay in,! driving behind cars, middle of the road, without helmet

3. Cars that come to far out of the soi, blocking more than half of the lane, or parked cars leaving there place without waiting till no vehicle is coming

4. cutting corners or crossing the road to diagonally to early that ends up in driving against the traffic

5 driving true red lights 5 sec before the counter goes on green

+ lots of other less dangerous but bad behavior

so please government

1. give license only to people that KNOW and CARRY OUT all the safety rules

2. make the roads more good and safe , separate lanes where dangerous and preventions to cross or cut road , where no soi, repair potholes

3. police control more these 5 points instead of only driver license on the same places

Killing the dog is not a good thing to do, but I as animal lover sometimes also been driving so far that thoughts come in my mind to kill a dog like that..

meaning all the ones that say you should be hanged, or all the ones that say you did a good thing .. are wrong, the truth is in the middle, you are just human.

about the Thai woman, living in fight with your neighbors is not a good thing. In my opinion, Thai way .. go to her with your wife with a smile and show respect, and say that you are sorry her dog is dead, that you didn't know the dog has been killed by your car, but if she give all the documents she have about ownership of the dog, vet bills or food, or so, you will bring it to you lawyer and he will handle it for her. and leave with a smile and apologize

most possible you will never hear from her again, if she come and push again, ask for docs, if she give, you come back later.. and say your lawyer wants she compensate for the car damage, cat lost, and bites before .. now you know who the owner is .. in a friendly way like its your lawyer ask, not you...

finally it will all go away .. no fight, no threat, just smile say sawadee krab ..

You don't have to think literal about this, but think why this law is made in many countries.

If you go to a country to make money = working

you need to be registered, = getting a work permit, follow the rules and pay taxes, like the people of that country mostly also have to do.

so nowhere it is allowed, to go make money, without paying tax or be registered.

It is clear that if you say i come as tourist, that you are tourist and not work or get a job. Anything that you do that can be considered as giving you money or profit = working.

Things you are normally do everywhere without payment, is not working.

for example, cleaning your house, wash your car, painting your mailbox , repair your door lock, maintain your garden = NOT WORKING .. as you don't get salary for it, and normally nobody gets paid for it

if you do these things for your neighbor, you are painting 50 mailboxes at home, you build your own house, = THIS IS CONSIDERED WORKING, as normally people get money to do that, or you making profit.

2 things you have to keep in mind :

a) In Thailand there is a law that you can not do a job with work permit, normally every thai can do, this to protect jobs for locals. you can not be cleaner, or painter, or serving drinks ..

you can be manager, advisor, something that your skills, diploma shows you can do better, or not any thai can do.

In Thailand laws are often not followed correct, there is corruption, so as many comments said, avoid getting problem with someone, there is always a way to threat you with corruption
