  1. this could well end up being one of the quickest vacation trips to TH on record....
  2. Yeah its a funny one.... alcohol at really high prices is a true off to tourists aka Singapore but lower priced alcohol is not so much of a turn on
  3. Only if their is law or governance of some sort that requires the business to have a working CCTV system
  4. I think any insurance company when you talking about medical repatriation is complex to deal with....insurance companies generally are not always the most proactive in wanting to oblige by the terms of the policy.. hope the guy recovers as best he can and full marks for having the insurance in place for his trip
  5. OK similar circumstances .... fact that you are on Warfarin indicates its not a heart valve problem causing the AFIB.. perhaps consider ablation... worked for me ... I was on Xarelto as well ( never Warfarin) and now graduated to 80mg Aspirin per day . generics are fine ....Xarelto bought here in TH is fine , its made under license from Bayer AG. Xarelto from India I dont know about . Xarelto really really works.. had a small shaving cut when I was on it and blood spurted about 1 foot to the mirror and took hours to stop bleeding .....From what you have stated re Warfarin I would seriously talk to Dr about ablation to quell the electrical activity ( no side effects for me) or just get on the Xarelto.... one word of warning however my heart specialist was horrified I was motorbike riding while on Xarelto. said one minor arterial wound and you would bleed out so if you part time passion is juggling chain saws you might want to consider that
  6. Oh well played immigration..... you have taken a one off situation and now given it a life.... who advises these people....
  7. Keep on with the NAC ( 600mg/day) but add Glycine.. this helps your body make glutathione which is the king/ queen of antioxidants . I also use Fistein ( natural extract from fruit) to help clear congestion... 200mg at night... like some of the others here I suffer from frequent lung infections and just use Augmentin when that happens . The Fisetin really clears up the airways .... google it and read up about it... easy to get in TH as well
  8. For God's sake dont tell the police that.. it will cause an uproar....
  9. wow ..... not a word of praise for the Pattaya police for doing their job and taking what obviously is a threat off the streets .... yes I admit they make the Keystone cops look like pro's most of the time but occasionally they do step up to the mark . Nicely done Pattaya RTP.... now lets make sure this non quality tourist gets processed and sent home with a never to come back mark against him......
  10. Sorry that they have to endure this theft but take temptation out of it and just put a cheap padlock on the doors so they cant easily be opened .
  11. Once again clueless.. you would think the focus would be on the roads and trying to reduce the carnage that happens every year at this time ....instead they try a " Canute trying to turn back the waves " approach......
  12. Im sure the beverage industry of Thailand is shaking in their boots at that news ....Halal go go bars here we come.. Ill have a camels milk with a twist of lime please
  13. Adversity doesn't bring out the best in a person it just shows what they are truly made of ... you Sir have just given a wonderful insight into your shortcomings and the governments. One more example of Politics overcoming Principles
  14. the rangers have to be told this ? Like one would assume this would happen without direct instruction .... maybe a small cottage industry reselling found traps one wonders
  15. Off to prison you go laddie and wow you will find out about the rough end of the pineapple there
  16. get a thai person to call contact number here https://www.tatnews.org/ and ask what can be done... make sure the Thai person you get to do this understands what you are asking however .... I would personally make the application and see if you can get it approved as long as your cancellation period for the hotel allows
  17. i wouldn't have wasted the words on him to be honest , you aint going to fix stupid through common sense
  18. you may be better going for acyclovir cream or tablets.. the brand you can buy in Thailand is Vilerm... https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/4335/smpc#gref You can buy Lysine at any health store and most chemists but the acyclovir goes to the root of the problem regardless of your arginine to lysine ratio.....
  19. i worry about this pig collapsing under the weight of all the continual lipstick layers.... window dressing stuff like this means nought to a visitor when his first interaction in Thailand is normally a rip off tax at the airport...
  20. The time has come to open the borders, get life back on track and accept whatever collateral damage happens... its going to happen anyway so why not maximise herd immunity ASAP.....faster we peak the faster the decline will be ..... fighting a long drawn out containment policy will do nothing other than providing a longer time period which may have new variant implications ...... 7 days quarantine for tourists aint going to work.. sandbox if you want to but sooner we treat Omicron like the flu the sooner we will get on top of it..... trying to delay the inevitable may have unfortunate ramifications that are far more serious than what we have now
  21. exactly.. what next.. good news sir your wife is a little bit pregnant... your either positive or negative no degrees ... from what I understand the test were not quantitive any way
  22. One thing that is proved by this latest diatribe from him and also doubly proved by frequent statements of the TAT is that " empty vessels DO make the most noise"... its so nice that we can at least have concrete proof on one point
  23. and what source of data do you base that broad statement on.... it would appear based on data from South Africa and recent Moderna tests that indeed vaccinations have a great affect against Omicron.....
  24. yeah I know, Im thinking about that as well on a number of fronts.. Kenya at present has minuscule new infection rates less than 80 people per day .. Cambodia claims it is >80% vaccinated but most of that is Sinopharm and started seeing reports / discussions that Sinopharm is not effective towards Omicron..... thinking along worst case scenario.... Omicron goes ballistic everywhere ,TH pulls shutters down again .......where would I rather be living for maybe a few months and medical health care standards...... 14 days strict quarantine in TH doesnt look that bad if you add all the ifs buts and maybe's together...... will wait until 23rd Dec and see if TH modifies any of its conditions .....if they said OK 7 days Q from low risk African nations i would be there like a flash
