That's how Thai boats anchor all the time...

Another of those monopolies protecting big business.
Thailand 4.0?

Tires are too darn expensive in Thailand, another of those monopolies? Overseas I get them for less than half the price.

Fire truck saga all over again.

Anyone?
Importing squid ink sachets costs an arm and a leg. Anyone knows where to buy squid ink (for food coloring) in Bangkok?
Thank you!

Good day
We contacted CAT, but they need two months for installation.
Can anyone recommend a fiber optic Internet provider in Bangkok with reliable speed and okay prices?
Thanks in advance for feedback!

We love Maggie, he's such a great character, he loves people around him that play with him and talk to him, yet unfortunately our son's so busy at school and we with our jobs.
Would be wonderful to find a family with young kids for Maggie.
Most of the time when we're around the door to his cage is just open. He likes to fly around in the house a bit, but he's completely happy sitting on his cage and observe what's going on.
Maggie is a 4-year-old Indian Ringneck Parrot with very special coloring, we have him since early age when feeding him with a syringe.
He talks his own gibberish and sings once in a while. We could clip his wings if you're afraid that he flies away.
He's completely friendly to people and likes to be touched.
Let know if you have any questions or would like to pay Maggie a visit! We're in the Prakanong area.

Boss likes the best:

Or is there a similar large display screen with top sound quality available, for a friendlier budget?
Any recommendations?
We need 10 of those, so if anyone could even point to a deal...

Again, thanks everyone for the valuable information in here. Personally I'd like to do the India trip, but guess for the familiy it will either be Australia or, well, Germany!
Those familiar with Australia, what route would you recomment for, say, three weeks with a rental car, sleeping Airbnb- or B&B-style.
Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide?
We really love nice food and nature!!
And July being winter/low season, can one just drive and book places on the spot? Are A$100 a night reasonable for three (two adults and 16-year-old boy)?
With Europe and Germany I'm familiar, Australia's still a black hole!

Just throwing some stuff out. What about South Korea? We loved it there. Bali? Some great places to check out, including nearby islands...some with dragons! LOL
I did a 30 day trip in India with a car and driver. It was fantastic. Wonderful old palaces. Camping in the desert with camels. Fun.
India, Craig, India... Lived there some time and loved it, dunno how the family would...
What places did you visit? Didn't feel bothered too much? What about the compulsory train rides!
How much was the 30-day trip? In Indie one could afford nice hotels me guesses.
Could you recommend an agent?

This is one beautiful list of suggestions, thank you very much all!
Many of the tours we've done already, NZ, Italy, Switzerland, France, but Germany with Berlin could be interesting, I heard prices are fair, or why not England or Scotland!
I guess during the summer break the islanders all head south, so it's not too crowded?
I'm a continental European, my wife's Thai, son is 16.
Again, really appreciate all the feedback!
I thought asking in here after checking campervan prices in Australia. Gosh!
-
We're looking forward to spend some quality family time this July/August break, but guess what, should we go to Australia? India? Where else?
Or even Europe? Europe during summer when everyone's traveling is a bit crowded...
The budget, not including flights, is about $5-6k.
We like nature, a bit of culture, walks, good food.
Not the U.S., done that last time and it was gorgeous.
Appreciate your inputs what you'd do, thanks in advance!

Anyone? Preferably in the Thonglor/Ekamai area?
Thanks in advance!

Never had a girlfriend here until I met my wife, which made me feel pretty strange as everyone seemed to have lots of gfs...

I wonder why she refused to give her name, and declined to make a complaint.
I was thinking that myself.
I can understand not giving her name because of possible reprisals. But to not press charges??
Does she even realise that had this piece of trash managed to overpower her, he would certainly not have left her alive to tell the story.
Her refusal to press charges against this scum, keeps him on the streets to do it again and again till he is finally caught.
This woman is part of the problem. It should not be up to her to make the decision whether or not this crime is investigated.... Well it won't be investigated now, thanks to her.
She would be paraded by the police in front of the media.
That's why she refused.
Thai media don't respect victims, they nearly celebrate the acts of violence and humiliation.

Thanks Brian, Lazada would be great, but are you sure it's working? Seems more against flying objects such as birds and bats...
-
Don't get me wrong, I love animals and enjoy them myself, but not so the dogs passing in front of our house day in, day out, doing nature's necessity right in front of our door.
Somehow they love to do that.
A "human" way to make them do it somewhere else is an ultrasonic high frequency deterrent, yet haven't found any in Bangkok.
Anyone knows where to find such a device?
Appreciate!

Much appreciated answers so far, thank you very much.
The Philips CVR700 doesn't look too bad, there's also an option without GPS.
A friend told me to await the next motor show, should have the latest and best car camcorder deals.

Looking for a car camcorder. Many are available on Lazada. yet don't like online shops too much. You never know what you get.
Maybe you can recommend a store in Bangkok and a cam brand/model?
Much appreciate any pointers.

Sutherp, I wish you, every success to your quest.
We are all behind you, voters or non voters.
All TVF, members are with you, even if they pretend they support the red shirts, Thaksin or Yingluck.
Because everybody wants this country, that we all love, to go forward and get rid of the vermin, holding us back.
GOOD LUCK to you and your supporters.
Suthep will be delighted to know Greek Costas is standing firmly behind his cause. Good luck to you, Costas... or maybe you're needed back home?!

Guys, this is a serious topic. Take the new Dean & Deluca deli, they don't sell anything non FDA-equivalent approved...

Actually the best Thai beer so far, dry compared to the overly sweet rest, with a slightly lasting aftertaste.
Way better than Chang or Leo or Singha, at least a slightly better alternative now at a reasonable price.
