  1. I'm talking a about intermittent fasting which is if implemented properly a lifestyle choice not a fad diet. 5-2 is just an interpretation of intermittent fasting.

Just like Crossfit or grit are two interpretations of high intensity interval training. They can be done the right way or the wrong way up to the user.

Lots of supplements are downright dangerous and a few might be good.

Anyways we can agree to disagree. I just don't think dismissing something because some quack doctors write tabloid articles saying you can eat bacon all day and then starve yourself the next is a correct way of looking at intermittent fasting.

  2. Honestly compared to true or AIS dtacs online services are a dream.

I can go online switch my service every month if I like back between the cheapest 150 baht plan and my 899 w 3G plan depending on if I'm in or out of the country. My invoices are emailed and I'm billed on autopay. This is not only as a post pay customer my friend does this with a prepaid happy account registered to a email address.

  3. That's not the 5/2. The 5/2 is 5 days eat as you like, 2 days severely low calories. Just google it. It's hot in the UK. The diet "industry" profits roll on and people just keep getting FATTER and FATTER. Do the math.

That's just people taking an idea and rationalizing unhealthy habits.

The idea is to eat properly and fast a bit on two days. It follows the theory thousands of years of human eating habits when we didn't ample food available all the time and naturally had to fast which made our bodies go less on autopilot. The theory is similar to HIIT or high interval training which is proven to be much more effective than even long cardio sessions or weight training by itself. There's a reason why I do a 15-20 min high intensity workout every morning and sometimes a fun sport every other day and look much better than my cousin who runs 20-30 km. week and is skinny fat and its not all diet.

I know first hand of a family member who has been on this 5-2 diet for over a year and it has worked wonders. Obviously he doesn't eat bacon and eggs all day on the regular day instead practices moderation.

I respect that you don't believe in it but just dismissing it outright is plain ignorant. For every doctor or scientist that thinks it dosen't work I can google a dozen that disagree. But by all means drink coconut oil if you think the science behind that is more sound.

  4. Only diet that I have first hand seen work on people is the 5-2 diet.

Just another fad in my opinion.

Check back in 5 years about how well it worked.

Just losing weight is the relatively easy part compared to keeping what you lost off and not gaining more in a YO YO.

It's not for me, I eat very well and I work out a lot. But apparently there's quite a bit of science in intermittent fasting.

Saw it work wonders on a family member weight cholesterol bad fats obviously with healthy food on the eating days. Basically no exercise besides long walks. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it very different than those high fat or high protein diets.

  5. So there is obviously room for nitches in such a large city.

And the niches are catered to, there really is something for all types of people in BKK. It's just that you don't seem to like those places that is all. Many others do hence why most clubs are packed every weekend.

Sure but I don't see anything wrong with constructive criticism. If there was a better place maybe it would be more popular. This forum is for the exchange of ideas, my opinion is just that.

  6. Berlin has plenty of prostitution as well. But they have options, that's what the writer means.

What Bangkok needs is some options for non slumming youngish people who enjoy dancing. Shouldn't be too hard when places like Bed, Bash etc kind of pull it off. Wish there was more door control to rid the clubs of undesirables but then I guess they wouldn't be full.

But there are plenty of options for young people.

The young Thai's seem perfectly happy and are out in droves every weekend at clubs all over Bangkok.

Most of them don't like to dance so providing lots of options for clubs where you can dance makes no sense.

The young tourists and expats are out every weekend too and they seem to be enjoying themselves usually at clubs where you can dance....mostly at Kowsan or certain clubs in Sukhumvit.

Bed and Bash are just crappy whore filled venues that pretend to be high end.

Bangkok has something for almost everyone.

If people can't enjoy themselves they are probably just a miserable bastard.

There are English language magazine and sites in Thailand even though a majority of the population dosen't speak English. So there is obviously room for nitches in such a large city.

As for having fun, I think everybody can find something they like in Bangkok. But my critique still stands. I mentioned bed and bash as places that kind of get it right because they look nice and play decent music but the doormen letting every body in does a disservice to the demographic.

When Im in Bangkok and go out its generally with a group of young western people both male and female so Thai style rock bars and clubs aren't on the agenda. Fun times for an experience a few times but just not my thing.

  8. There are lots of guys who would love to meet a great western girl In BKK. Best place is just face to face interaction around the city.

I know, I lived in Thailand for a long time but only dated tourists until I met my girl. We are both Europeans. Not all guys in Thailand hate western women and have some weird Asian fetish. Some guys just like the weather, lifestyle, prices and sanuk!

Be open to people who look interesting on the subway, malls and skype with potentials on craigslist and don't be scared if they talk to you. Who knows you might meet your future partner. Good luck!

  9. Buy the Honda. You're in Thailand so it's the best for resale and repairs. Long trips on a scooter are deadly in any case, don't do it. Better take a train or fly and use it locally.

I don't even ride bikes anymore but have been in enough accidents with idiots in Thailand to know to stay away from long treks.

  10. If you want to make crypto currency the old fashioned way ("farming") it's not cost effective now compared to the system you need and electric costs. You need to get in from the beginning and make a rig that is energy efficient and focused on this task. You are better off looking at up and coming variants out there.

"Investing" in any type of currency is risky because you don't really have an investment your just hoping people won't sell it off before you do.

  11. Hmm ok guess I will just pick up the Bangkok bank card with the chip then. Do you know if they will let you hang on to both cards the Be1 and the normal no name mag card?

Another question to K bank users, does k bank offer free accounts (no annual fee accounts)?

if you can get a K Bank Wisdom account, service is free, credit card included and VIP service in branches

Ok I assume that type of set up requires a minimum balance across accounts. I use bb for biz and personal and like it but thought it would be nice to have a k bank account with a bit of cash to transfer to when I go out. If I lose it or it gets skimmed no big deal.
